RaceMenu can not leave character editing / Stuck on character creation

It worked for me.

 

I got the free upgrade to AE, which included the four basic Creation Club add-ons, and then used the full downgrade patch which not only reverts the skyrim exe back to the earlier version, but also removes those CC features. Once I did that, RaceMenu worked flawlessly for me again.

 

It seems that something in the free CC content that is included with AE interferes with RaceMenu. When I first got the upgrade forced on me, I only used the 'Best of Both Worlds' downgrade patch, which backdated Skyrim.exe but left the CC content intact. I didn't notice the issue with RM until I tried to start a new game.

 

If you have already used the BOBW patch to fix your game, you'll need to re-upgrade to AE before the full patcher will work - it won't be able to find the 'upgraded' skyrim files it looks for and will fail.

 

Personally, I find the fishing add-on to be a pointless waste of memory and resources. I don't play SSE as a fishing simulator.

RaceMenu isn't compatible with Skyrim 1.6.xxx right now. A compatible version is in the work, but disable it until then and reinstall XPMSE without the RaceMenu Plugin should you use it.

I know, that's why I've downgraded with "Best of both worlds patch". As you can see on my screenshot I have SE versions of mods.

Yes it does. Try reading one of the many, many posts on the subject that have been around for a couple of weeks or so. Some of the threads, like yours, are even here in the LE tech support section because - SE users.

Sorry for posting in the wrong section of the forum - I'm new.

I've tried to run SexLab on AE. RaceMenu doesn't work just like Lyreal said. There is even list made to show how much stuff isn't working, so don't tell me everything is working. I've spend 48 hours reading guides and blog posts on this topic so u can just stop being a dick.

It's not clarified that this is LE section. Since you have sections for whole games and this is regarding Skyrim, nothing tells me this is reserved for LE topic only. Was not aware of Skyrim SE section.

I said I found a solution to my problem and it's not Skyrim version specific. It's about downgrading AE to SE with "Best of both world patch" where CC content is somehow blocking RaceMenu.

I am not going to read entirety of a forum just to get familiar under which sub section of Skyrim I want to place my question while I am not even aware you haveing sub sections for Skyrim here. Why do you butt hurt over this so much? Name this Skyrim LE and all will be clear. I have a question regarding Skyrim and this is Skyrim section, is it not?

There is no solution if there is no update yet for mod on AE version. It's my choice that I wanted to downgrade because mods I care about are on SE version and downgrading is exactly the way I avoid problems in the first place of mods not being updated yet.

It's not avoidable if mods on AE are not available yet. What's your problem? I've asked a question about something that is not working for me and neither for other people. And yet I am here explaining to you why do I want certain mods and you assume I am a retard that wouldn't try to solve something by myself. If I'm posting something, that means I've tried many times and googled some posts on this topic. I found a solution and I can share it with others, where is the problem?

No and no. You have a question which applies only to Skyrim AE or to be exact you have a question about RaceMenu for SE (so the logical place to seek an answer would be the RM SE support thread over on Nexus). It does not apply to Skyrim SE or LE. This is the Skyrim LE tech support section which is distinct and separate from the Skyrim SE tech support section.

There are two versions of this Project:

1. Best of Both Worlds (this is the one you’re looping at on this page) - only downgrades the EXE and DLL files, so you can use the old SKSE files with the new AE content. This is exprerimental and might not work for All Project.
2. Full Patcher - downgrades everything, all the ESMs and BSA files are downgraded to their old SE state

(The above was the result of a quick search for 'Best of Both Worlds'. Didn't even type 'Skyrim'. That hit was on the first page).

 

I also know that many SE users here on LL do not allow Steam to do automatic updates. I also also know that problems with SKSE were anticipated a week or two before AE released.
