greenmango12 Posted December 27, 2021 Posted December 27, 2021 And I had experienced these issue, then there was case non one can not detect from NET script frame work log. (though it actually often help us, about simple cases) So if you have some profile and save data with MO2 it work well,, at least you need not check all mod list one by one. you can only concentrate, new added or up-date mod from the profile... if you remove old versions of the profile, it not work as you expected though. And when test mods for CTD, I actually hide multiple mods. at same time (which I suppose related with), + mod which required for those. eg you may try make your half mod hide first,,, you think,, it might cause issue. with new profiles. (copy current profile, and save datas first, ) then check >> work >>> it means cirtical mod is in the hidden mod groups. check >> not worked >> it means critical mod is not in the hidden mod groups,, do same things 3 or 4 times, usually you might find cirtical mods. (yes there might be some mods cause issue, at same time,, )
qalavix Posted December 31, 2021 Author Posted December 31, 2021 (edited) Okay. For reasons that seemed prudent Spoiler because I've had 'fun' trying something and then not being able to get rid of it. I am used to having root access and a command shell; I don't take kindly to a computer of mine telling me "No you can't" because Fuck you, you little electronic shit; I bought you, I built you, and I can fucking well kill you if it gets down to it; now stop fucking around and do what I tell you, or it's fdisk time again. And one of the design features of DD was apparently DD being able to tell me, the player, "No you can't" take this thing off or do that thing or remove this item until five game hours or whatever. This would be a lot more tolerable if everything was explained in-game, and perfectly non-buggy by itself, and perfectly non-catastrophically-interactive with other mods, none of which is true. So I want something like root access to DDevices so I can take them off if I get one on I don't like or didn't know was a DD or it decides to reset its MCM settings and eat my DD removal keys or whatever the fuck. when messing about with Devious Devices, I wanted something like Devious Devices - Equipped which can actually remove DD things. DD-E requires Skyrim Utility Mod, which is the mod upon which I assigned preliminary blame for this error before. But, I'd found a much more recent SSE conversion by @Herowynne on the LE download page, and thought, "Well, give it a try..." This was on the 24th. On the 29th, I started having this crash again. Eight times. For seven of them, there was nothing in the "Possible relevant objects" section. This was in the 8th crash log. Possible relevant objects (3) { [ 28] NiNode(Name: `NPC L Hand [LHnd]`) [ 320] NiNode(Name: `NPC L Forearm [LLar]`) [ 466] NiNode(Name: `CME L UpperArm [LUar]`) } So I removed Skyrim Utility Mod (and DD-Equipped) again. I have not had this crash again in a few days. I didn't have this specific crash in the days it wasn't in my load order. Post hoc ergo propter hoc, or maybe 'cum hoc ergo propter hoc', is a logical fallacy; so I can't say with great assurance that SUM is the cause of my problems. But I'm removing it from my mod list. Edited January 1, 2022 by qalavix I said I'd come back and explain when I was conscious...
bevo67 Posted January 5, 2022 Posted January 5, 2022 Did you have Prison Overhauled Patched in your load order? I'm having the same issue you are (were having) and I've always had DDe and SUM in my load order - tho recently, I changed Prison Alternative for POP.

No, I do not & did not have Prison Overhaul Patched installed. Or Prison Alternative. (does that sound all prissy? Sorry, not how I meant that...) I suspect it's some kind of interaction between SUM and something else. Likely some unsuspected mod, that we all have... (and that no one knows is the mad killer! Because of course computers work like television show plots.)

Likely some unsuspected mod, that we all have... (and that no one knows is the mad killer! Because of course computers work like television show plots.) Yeah.. this is a tricky one .. I've been trying to solve this particular CTD thru my entire current playthru - the one thing that remains constant is that the game DOES NOT CRASH if I can get the game loaded. Once the game loads, its completely stable - the only trouble is .. if I have to start the game or restart after dying the game crashes about 60% of the time at startup (tho I can usually brute force the game to load simply by trying multiple startup attempts). Frustrating to say the least.. if I do manage to find a solution.. I'll post here.

I also just realized that it rarely crashes when loading “auto saves”….curiouser and curiouser.. Edited February 7, 2022 by bevo67
Grumbrum Posted April 6, 2022 Posted April 6, 2022 I recently started a new game with SUM and POP re-enabled. (Before, I did not use it and the game was rock stable over thousands of saves after finishing all possible Quests with very rare CTD). Now, at save number around 850 (level 28 character) I got the same issue as stated here before. I could play for hours without CTD but very often CTD directly after loading (you start to hear the ambient sound, the screen still being dark, and bang: CTD). The excerpt from the crash log looks very similar: Possible relevant objects (0) { } Probable callstack { [0] 0x7FF7ABB88C8B (SkyrimSE.exe+C28C8B) BSFixedString::Set_C28C80+B [1] 0x7FFB8464271E (ConsoleUtilSSE.dll+271E) [2] 0x279FBB5ADC4 [3] 0x278DD4D0FE8 [4] 0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFE [5] 0xBE86BF9EB0 } So, it is not totally unrealistic that the culprit is really SUM. If not for POP requiring SUM I could totally live without it. I don't explicitly use SUM in any way. For what is it needed anyhow? Have you learned anything new on this issue in the meantime? 1
qalavix Posted April 27, 2022 Author Posted April 27, 2022 Again late to reply... No, I know nothing new on this. I do not have SUM loaded, and I have not had this crash at all in 56 levels and a few hundred hours on this character . I've had plenty of other crashes... SUM is only needed because the mod author @Inte wrote Skyrim Utility Mod, Devious Devices - Equip, and Prison Overhaul Patched (as well as a few other mods), and apparently decided to put some common pieces into one master 'mod' (SUM) rather than duplicating them in each mod. My SKSE is the latest for SE, 2.0.20, because I've deliberately avoided the November2021 update. As far as I know, they stopped developing for SE when AE came out.
Grumbrum Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 Needless to add: since I uninstalled SUM and POP I never had the CTD on load again and the game is quite stable again.
Gergar12 Posted May 31, 2022 Posted May 31, 2022 I crashed due to the ending of Forsworn Conspiracy. I also have Devious Cidhna installed...

With the same error code shown in .NET Framework crashlog (SkyrimSE.exe+C28C8B) ? Do you have Skyrim Utility Mod installed? It's required for Devious Devices Equip and Prison Overhaul Patched.
zxkarinaxz Posted July 25, 2022 Posted July 25, 2022 Not sure if this counts as necroing a forum, but I just want to thank the topic author for this post. Skyrim Utility Mod was the issue for me as well with the exact same NetScriptFramework error logs. Removing SUM allowed me to load my save safely once again, so I guess I thought to throw in my experience for future victims of this crash. 1
PubliusNV Posted September 2, 2022 Posted September 2, 2022 I was having this exact same problem, and it was the cause of well over 90% of my crashes almost all of which were on trying to load a save (as described above). Taking the advice given by @qalavix, I installed the most recent version of the SE SUM, and was able to load a save that was consistently crashing for me. Since I didn't update POP or DDE, I got messages to the effect that they didn't support this new version of SUM, so I may have effectively disabled those mods. So the problem was fixed (or at least helped) by either the new version of SUM or the disabling of POP and DDE's use of SUM. If I get no more of these crashes I'll be a happy camper.
PubliusNV Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 I spoke too soon. After working for two days, my game started crashing again on load with this same bug. Even saves from Thursday when it was working after my previous post crashed. I tried upgrading POP and DDe to the same level as the new SUM I had installed, but no go. So I removed all 3 of them from my load order and was able to load all of the saves that had been giving me trouble.
sugarclaw Posted April 27, 2023 Posted April 27, 2023 I wanted to +1 SUM causing some kind of issue on load with a large load order (922 mods) on SE 1.5.97. I spent the last week opening the console the millisecond the world started to load (before terrain and characters) which would give it a second or two of breathing room. It would load fine about 70% of the time this way, but the other 30% it would CTD regardless, which had become quite annoying, especially crashing on reload after death. "Unhandled native exception occurred at xxxxx (SkyrimSE.exe+C28C8B) on thread xxxxx!" in the .NetScriptFramework crash logs, found this thread via a search, and made this account just to say thank you. With this many mods and nothing obvious in the logs I would have been pulling out ConsoleUtil (frequently mentioned) and probably my hair. I removed SUM/DD Equip from this load order which completely resolved the problem and will keep them to a profile with less mods. Thanks!
