I've remade the patches from scratch as esl-flagged ESPs (QUAAF v1.7d05_BETA uploaded above just now). It still works with NMM, but now it puts the patches at the end of the load order instead of directly under the related .ESPs! No problems though.

That seems to have solved the cyclic sorting issues as far as LOOT/Vortex are concerned, thanks for the quick fix!

I'm still not sure why the FOMOD installer menu won't let me select the NSFW Sound Pack option though, I definitely have it and 50 Shades installed, so no idea why it wouldn't find it.

Interesting.

Worked for me in MO2 (wasn't selected by default, but could select it. Were a few I didn't have that were greyed-out).

Now to actually boot up the game later and test it :joy:

Yeah, it correctly greyed out Leito Voice Fix for me, as I don't have that installed, but also greyed out NSFW Voice Pack which I do. I'll try to dissect the FOMOD rules and see if I can spot the discrepancy.

NSFW has no .esp so the fomod cannot detect whether it is installed or not. In v1.7d06 (uploaded just now above) the button is now "free" and if you have NSFW installed you can select the button to install the QUAAF files. Sorry for the stuff-up, haven't slept for 30 hours. Hope things are OK now!

Thanks again--that's done it. Now get some sleep! ?

UPDATE v1.7e03 - beta

Another Beta release with two significant new features:

1. FOMOD installation. Now you can install only the files you want, or exclude any mod from QUAAF support.

2. ESL patches are being written for all the supported animation packs to give them a common Sound Output Model and a framework to ultimately balance all the soundpacks into a more realistic FO4 soundscape. There are 5 patches included in this beta release. The patches are ESL-flagged ESP files so will not count towards your .esp limit.

This is a "Balanced" version of QUAAF - you should be able to hear every sound from every sound pack at normal listening levels. All QUAAF sounds are now directional and should fade to silence over a distance of about 1500 game units. All QUAAF sound files have been standardised to 44.1kHz 16-bit Mono WAV format. The volume is a bit louder than "natural" but still quieter than the vanilla packs. Not perfect yet, but the best balance so far ...

DOWNLOAD:  QUAAF v1.7e03-beta.rar

  • These mods are supported, but have not been tested in-game yet:

- Devious Devices
- Hardship Beggar Whore
- NSFW Sound Pack (50 Shades of FO4 etc)
so feedback from users of these mods is really necessary please!

So it looks like the UAP now incorporates this mod, is that correct? I don't need to install both if I'm using the latest Ultimate AAF Patch? Thanks!

LOL, road blocked.  OOF

I couldn't download the quaaf due to busted link anyways.

You did a great job, so far so good, the only problem i encountered, is with one SC animation for the pillory that runs without a single sound. Not even sure if it's related to this mod but i'll leave the animations IDs anyway:

<animation id="SC-FM-Human-Pillory01-02Doggy" frames="500">
<animation id="SC-FM-Human-Pillory01-03Doggy" frames="500">
<animation id="SC-FM-Human-Pillory01-04Doggy" frames="500">

Hi, is the mod still maintained? Because there are no updates since 2021...

I think it's abandoned. He hasn't been active on here since mid October 2021.

Back again ... if there is any interest i will update and publish this mod properly in the mod section.

It may be a little while though, i've been playing my 1.10.163 game for the last 3 years with no updates of anything. It's been working (nearly) flawlessly: the last playthrough gametime was 2400 hours (Level 605!) with 40 settlements, 1040 managed settlers, using most of thuggysmurf's quest mods, AAF, Indarello's patch, UniqueNPCs, AutonomyRedux, etc etc. Over 300 mods. Impossible without Buffout4 and Fallrim Resaver, but overall a very stable game.

So logging back on to Nexus & LL and finding Bethesda has subverted the modding community again with their worthless updates was disappointing but not surprising. I'm going to stick with 1.10.163 as long as possible, and as soon as i have a fresh install working properly i will start work on QUAAF again. Thankfully QUAAF is independent of game version.

It's nice to be back ...

Still on 163 too. Good to see you and any work is appreciated! :)

OK, so about 100 hours into my new install using AAF v171-0, all of the animation packs required by Indarello's Patch 11.0, and Autonomy Enhanced v.2.80. At first i was shocked by how discordant the vanilla animation sounds were - I haven't heard them for the last 3 years! So on a whim i installed the last QUAAF beta (v1.7e03) and found that it still works very well, even with the updated animation packs! It seems that most of the animators have kept their libraries of sound files despite updating actual animation data. Also I haven't found the new animation pack sounds to be obtrusive so far.

It will still be a few weeks before i investigate the new and updated animation packs in depth and make the necessary adjustments to release the next update.

Please report any problems,  or request any new animation mods you want supported.

In the meantime I recommend trying QUAAF v1.7e03 if you want to try this mod for the first time. It won't break anything and is easily installed and uninstalled with your mod manager. QUAAF is independent of game version.

During installation, the NSFW sound pack is not recognized, but all the others are ...

NSFW has no .esp so the fomod cannot detect whether it is installed or not. In v1.7e03 (uploaded just now above) the button is now "free" and if you have NSFW installed you can select the button to install the QUAAF files.

I did that, yes. And thanks for the info.

So, the reason I landed here was to disable the super-loud orgasm screaming which plays every time my character lands herself in trouble, though, so okay, some of it is "good trouble", but regardless, the big-"O" is loud enough to get me into irl troubles with neighbors and parents.  All the other sounds are already quiet enough, it's just that one; but, when I tried this mod, it quieted all the sounds which were already okay and failed to quiet the one super-loud "O".  And, no I'm not frustrated because I'm jelly'.  Of course, I set this mod to load last and overwrite sounds from all other mods.

Edit:  I found the loud big-O/etc files in SexAttributes in folder \sound\fx\FPA\*.wav   I could have edited the volume with Audacity, but I chose to find two buildup sounds and a big-O sound of somewhat similar length to replace these with, as a real [not faked] big-O lasts longer than the sound file in Sex Attributes, often combined with cramping, if it's really good.

I believe that sound is from Sexual Harassment, found in the loose files.

Sorry guys, i wasn't being notified of comments on this thread. Now I am. Also been preoccupied getting NAF-Bridge working nicely with my usual install.

I'll add the sounds from both those mods to the next update. Coming soon.

NAF is far more important, so this is 'totes no rush as the sound file volumes are easy to find and edit manually with Audacity.

haven't tried this yet, just hoping it does the trick. the sound in AAF is awful, like a warzone with no distance fade....breaks all immersion. good idea.
