ColinSkyhi Posted August 17, 2021 Posted August 17, 2021 So i don't really know how exactly i have triggered this spiral of fuckery that is me just wanting more up to date boing boing physics on my character, but here i am with a soft cock in my pants. Truly a shameful display, i know. Now here is what happened. I tried to update my CBBE 3BA mod from a rather old but very stable version to the new one, since it seemed like they added alot of stuff, like sliders, and i also thought it might fix the purple vag textures on my 3BA armors. But right after i chose all my options, and installed the mod with Vortex, since it's what i like. I started the game like normal, and then bam, just crashed when the menu showed up, nothing else. Tried disabling some other mods, nothing. Tried removing the mod, nothing. I tried to install another mod specifically for crash logs, AND EVEN THAT SHOWED NOTHING. So here i am, back to the shadows, help me regain my big PP energy fountain, plz.
pinky6225 Posted August 17, 2021 Posted August 17, 2021 silly question but have you tried restarting PC? i get that like once a month where it reaches the main menu, mouse won't move the cursor and then it crashes but a PC restart fixes

In no particular order that is most commonly caused by: 1) a missing master (make sure your new version doesn't require something that your old one didn't), 2) wrong Skyrim game (make sure you have the SE version of your mod and not the LE), and 3) problems with animations (which should be unlikely unless your newer version adds animations in which case run FNIS and see what that says).

Having a new requirement i mean. I have checked my Skeleton and all that, and they are up to the requirements. 2 - I was clearly in the SE part of the Nexus when i downloaded it and the Vortex mod manager will tell me when im using something that was made for LE, even if it does actually work with SE. 3 - I did try running FNIS right after it crashed, for whatever reason, same thing. But usually the problems i've had with not running FNIS when i should have, do not cause CTDs, only A posing or T posing. (not sure which it was)

Since it doesn't bother me enough for me to close down all that im doing at the moment. But i will do that at some point of course.
donttouchmethere Posted August 17, 2021 Posted August 17, 2021 Brainstorming: Check if a new game works without CTD Clean your old save with Fallrimtools  I guess you didn't remove the old 3B mod and cleaned your save first before adding the new files?  There might be other issues, like you have mods that where configured to your old 3B files and would need a reinstall.  SMP configuration might be messed up now? Maybe even added a HDT requirement? In that case you also need a HDT Physics source?  Messed up LO after removing/adding mods?

I literally do not have the ability to choose anything. It's quite specific

So thanks for giving the correct answer. . . though i would have fixed it either way since i turn my PC off for the night . . . non the less, you were right.
