I've just installed the alpha and the DD patch and I'm not getting any menus in MCM. I left it running for a bit (sometimes takes a while for the MCM to repopulate) and tried setstage ski_configmanagerinstance 1 in the console to no avail.

I also get a warming in NMM that PrivateNeedsNew.esp is marked as a .esm

Try typing in the console "stopquest PrivateNeedsMCMconfigQuest" and then follow that by "startquest PrivateNeedsMCMconfigQuest". The warning that it's an esm shouldn't be a problem.

Tried the stop/start didn't work, tried a new game and still nothing.

Is anyone else having a problem, or is it just me?

Just to confirm, I only need PrivateNeeds 3.0alpha and PrivateNeeds 3.0alpha devious Devices. I dont need PN 2.11, PN RND or PN SexLab?

Yes, you shouldn't need the previous versions or any of its addons.

Were there any error messages in the console wehn you did the start/stop commands?

Hello, i have used your mod for long long time now for many plays! I started a new game some week ago again together with lots of other mod and this mod and all other is all working really great!

So now my problem is i really want to try your new version, but i have a bad feeling i can not simply upgrade since you say it's total redo? :c Also i use RND and Sexlab, in case you say i could upgrade, i should remove the PrivateNeeds-Sexlab.esp and PrivateNeeds-RND.esp?

Thank you so much already!

I found that your bsa was packaged wrong.

So they can't Install the MOD rightly.

PS:

Can Translate the new vesion to Chinese, and share it on 3DM?

Posted

Thank you xia! I unpack bsa and moved loose file in right place, and it seem i manage to upgrade well! I just remove some old script with savetool :D

It's a great MOD,

I used it for a long time.

I think we have the obligation to help author to improve it.

It's also for ourselves...

Posted

Yes it is! Unfortunately i was happy to early, i get papyrus from missing script after all. I will revert back for now, i will leave some thing i noticed though, i hope it help! Unless it was caused by old script not correctly removed, then i am sorry!

To test i always had character sleep for six hour. I did not change any setting, only activate Hygiene and the *New* thing on main page (i am sorry, i forgot exact name)

-bladder was really full every time

-bowel was only a little full after maybe every four or five time i sleep, so like 24 or more hour

-my character was always remained *Immaculately Clean*

-the defecate sound did not play

I am really looking forward to next version!

I agree the alpha version of 3.0.0 (non devious devices version) is a bit buggy (tested it on old saves and a new game). For instance :

- The animation levels are not saved and remain 0. I've reapplied FNIS Generation Tool for Users but with no result.

- The Urination/Defecation power doesn't work anymore. Casting it doesn't bring up the dialogue box anymore and the animation doesn't play.

- Still can't urinate/defecate indoors, still getting the message "I can't do it here". I haven't found an option to turn this off but it was announced for 3.0.0 (maybe you haven't integrated it yet).

Edit : Rebuild the faulty BSA (file directory was wrong), deleted old scripts and now it seems to be working OK.

The MCM Menu doesn't show up in my game. I cannot set any settings. Seems like doesn't work... any advice?

read the topic. It's my advice

Two points it is posted as v3 Alpha Rebuild, mistakes can occur, as to BSA error, author may have had loose files masking the error. So things seemed fine at his end, he works and likely posted last thing before sleeping, then straight to work in morning. So give him a liitle time, now issues been reported, if you can't fix the BSA yourself.

Problem with BOSS, it is no longer being supported.  I have the latest version of BOSS and when I use it, get the error of unable to download the latest list.  After an internet search, found that BOSS is to be replaced with another program, LOOT, I believe is the name of it.    Seems the creators never heard of the saying, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I've made a reply to this moved to general Skyrim Forum as became to big and off topic for here. Everybody should read it but especially you sgtsnorkles because you are mistaken BOSS is well and truly broken and becomes more so every day.

Why LOOT is much better than BOSS ever could be

Well, yes and no.  LOOT does have its points, yet I have problems with it.  For instance.  It places the unofficial patches behind each of the DLC esms that they are for.  USKP is just after Skyrim.esm, UDGP is after Dawnguard.esm and so on.  Problem is that this load order has caused problems with one or two mods.  I forget which ones.  It does get many of them correct, yet the reason is, the same reason BOSS did so, the master list is up to date.  The master list for LOOT has more mods and in their correct order than BOSS did, because BOSS was not updated as much.  You watch, eventually, LOOT will have issues because it will not be kept as up to date as it should be.  A lot of work goes into keeping the list up to date and down  the road it will screw things up.  Just like everything else having to do with programming, it all comes down to GIGO.

No you have not read my post actually at all or you would know less than 300 Mods need Masterlist entries for Load Order Reasons that is the whole point LOOT is automatic this Mod will be sorted correctly now without updating the MasterlList as for how it sorts Unofficial Patches no you are wrong again this is one of those 300- Mods that have been placed specificaly to fix issues actualy confirmed to occur. There is always a possibility a unreported issue will be found provide valid repeatable evidence and the LO will be ajusted to fit valid evidence.

The LOOT Masterlist contains many warnings and Bash Tags also but these are a convenience for modders that are additional and have no bearing on Load Order.

The entire purpose of LOOT is to eliminate the MasterList Requirement by actually checking the required Master Files for each Mod.

99.9% of Mods are sorted this way entirely automatically without any MasterList Entry at all. This is verifiable fact

These are the key words

  • Priority the Default for this is 0 and assumed a negative means before positve after the number is relative position
  • After this means a named file must go before it some files have both keywords

The entire total list

  • Priority (92 hits)
  • After (204 hits)

Under 300 files in total check the facts yourself these are the line numbers given by Notepad++ word search.

sorry richard I did start a new thread but I had to respond to that misinformation.

[Edit] Please respond in the thread I made posting a short statement here linking to that response is reasonable to redirect anyone else interested but to continue the debate hear is not fair on Private Needs especially with the recent updates creating so much activity.

The .bsa has a folder named sounds rather than Sound, I think this may be the reason there are no fart sounds.

that would do it but author has already updated the download.
