It sounds to me like you built all the outfits, but you didn't build the body itself. It shows when you unequip your heels. 

 

Remember to build that too. Unfortunately I'm not with my pc right now so I don't remember what it's called. Just plain “Fusion Girl Body”, I think.

that... would make sense, I probably just batch built everything without much thought, decided to try it out, see if it works, thanks for the advice!

Batch build would include the body.  I'd be surprised if your preset is the problem.  But some folks can eyeball a screenshot and tell you what's wrong.  Is your issue with vanilla outfits (i.e. vault suit) or is it pretty much everything?   That will probably tell you a lot.  The other thing is usually slottable items do not have a body and overlay over the nude body, but other full body slot outfits may include a body.  So if the nude body was built with one preset and the slottable clothing was built for another you will get clipping, which is I think what JB was describing.

 

By the way, worth mentioning, there is some clipping around nipples you may run into and that is well sortof preset related but also lack of definition in the mesh.  You can try reducing the nipple length or just inflate the outfit in Outfit Studio.  Unfortunately nothing is quite perfect.  There is a really good series for Outfit Studio on YouTube, look for the channel "Mom's Gaming Channel (Ciraeyna)" -- she does a really good job with her series.

If you want to go exploring, for me the best thing to do is to advance the (nuka ride) quests until you get the blue scooter. With that you can go to the Commonwealth.

 

But on the technical side, there is no problem if you want to do it later, you just have to have the dialogue with Duke outside the vault 111, not elsewhere, which can be tricky because Duke is weak and if he follows you he will end up dying.

That does not relate to what they asked. Your implication is that a Norita that goes out adventuring before going starting NR will by definition not be a virgin. As I recall (and my recollection might be faulty as I might be confounding memories of a Nora playthrough as opposed to a Norita playthrough) I was able to do this back in I think 6.6. I did not do very much, though. I think I never got any farther than going to Drumlin Diner.

never mind the body I'm using has a "clothed" and "unclothed" variant and I guess this outfit was buit in "clothed and not the other one

Not sure I follow.  Is it just this one outfit?  Many outfits?  Have you tried to reduce the breasts to see if that changes anything?  But this is slottable outfit, so if your saying heels has an effect it might be the heels includes the body and it is a different shape/preset than the slottable outfit.  

 

I remember seeing something similar with EasyGirl outfits (in a non-Nuka Ride game) and it turned out I forgot to install or build FG conversion (don't remember which).  EasyGirl as an example is one of those mods you have both CBBE & FG builds that may overwrite the same mesh (not everyone does it this way), so you have to select the right outfits (EasyGirl has HH FG, and the other one is CBBE).  EasyGirl heels often include the body, and because i missed building it properly when i put the heels on it would go to that very slim shape that HN66 prebuilt meshes for, so the non EG outfits would have the clothes floating to my preset shape.

 

The way you can tell if there is a body is in BodySlide you select the preset + outfit and hit the Preview button, if it has a body you will see it there or it will just be the outfit floating without a body.  But most of the clothing (I don't know if it is ALL?, but most of it) comes from the BodySlide mods that you install with NukaRide.  In any case, if you notice this with heels, next thing to do is figure out what mod that comes from and make sure you have the right bodyslide files, and verify it is built.

Wasn't even with heels funnily enough, it was with the pink sneakers from NR, without the sneakers it looked fine enough

Yeah those sneakers include a body, so that would make sense why you see that effect.  That would suggest the pink sneakers are not using the right body preset, or the BodySlide output + plugin don't agree on the mesh to use, or perhaps something else going on.  JB or Axary might have a better idea.  I haven't noticed that as an issue myself.

 

At the bottom of the screen it shows the mesh (NIF) that it will output to, the plugin (ESP) would have to agree with that, and it appears that is OK.  So that rules out the BodySlide output + plugin don't agree scenario.

Are you using a VPN?  That's a common problem with people using sites that have download limits, a lot of the free download sites have quotas -- it's their business model.  I don't use a VPN and haven't had a problem with the quota on MEGA (it's somewhere around 4 or 5GB daily or 6 hours, mixed info) when downloading the mod -- there have been rare occasions where yeah I hit their quota limit but I have also hit it on other free download sites.

Yeah that's pretty unusual unless your downloading other stuff from MEGA (they meter it based on your IP address, if that helps at all), only advice I would give is get familiar with what you need to download the entire folder is > 4GB but you don't need everything and some of the files are older versions sometimes.  I don't think the page 1 post calls out it out specifically, but the majority of the optional stuff is in the Optional folder (there is at least 1 thing in the main folder that is optional and perhaps was just put in the wrong folder).  If you leave the MEGA page/download up it is supposed to resume automatically once the quota is renewed.

 

This alternate site question has come up before and the last I recall there is no alternate, not sure if anything changed but I am sure the author will chime in if it has.

 

BTW, I realized the Random Main Menu Themes are additive, the V1 and V2 is I guess Volume 1 & 2.  V2 is relatively new.

I'm creating the facegen file for the next update, this is for the NG version users, but it would be convenient for those on the old gen to have the file too. It is a small plus for performance. 

 

Turns out that with the facegen file Sophie now has two overlapping hairs. It's a bug that apparently those who were playing in Next Gen had, but I've created a script so it won't happen again.

 

I'm finishing the mod this week, and will need a few days to play it from the start of the new content to the end for one last bug hunting. So let set the date April 11th night to upload the new version.

 

I take this opportunity to leave a couple of pre war Sophies.🤩

Hello JB, is this facegen feature is somehow related to X-Cell mod? Will it require this mod? I am asking because when this mod was released many people started to make facegen patches to work with this X-Cell.

And a question to users here, is X-Cell mod really that good? Is it worth is to use with JB's mods and heavily modded FO4 in general?(400-500+ mods). Will it break things in such mod setups?

X-Cell is not a requirement.

 

Next Gen users uses X-Cell, so my facegen file will come in handy for them.

 

If you are not Next Gen, will still be very useful to have it.

 

If you don't have facegen files, then your game, locally, creates textures for new actors and saves them to your disk. Imagine arriving at the square for the first time and the game starts writing textures for each unique face it finds there. Frames could drop. Although it probably won't even feel on an ssd.

 

So, in short, whether you have XCell or not, it pays to have it.
