I am playing through and so far everything has been great until the Flagpole quest.  I talked to Mason and now I'm supposed to meet the Overboss.  But where do I go?  There is a quest marker that points me to the train at Nuka Station.  I don't think this is right as there really isn't a way to get there that makes sense.  Help?

That is super weird. The Overboss is in Nuka Town, in the tower where you normally go if you are Overboss. But if the mod is sending you elsewhere, I have my doubts that the Overboss is where it should be.

 

The Overboss is "deactivated" and only activates (or spawn) when Mason asks you to go visit him. Can you write "sqv _NukaRide_TheOverboss" in the console? A list of characters should come out. Among them you will see one called "Overboss", and it throws you his ID. However, I suspect that you will see "Overboss": NONE.

 

If that is so, it means that the alias was not filled correctly. 

 

You had this mod installed in previous versions, did you play around a bit, and now you have updated? The quest may have been "borked" during the updates. It is the only reason I think the aliases have not been filled

I've personally never tried this option:

 

ResetQuest _NukaRide_TheOverboss

 

This will reset the mission and you can talk to your boss again to get it. But I don't know if it would help to fill in the aliases correctly, I think that is already left in your savegame.

Yeah I tried that right after I posted, but Fizztop Grille was empty.

 

The aliases on the quest are filled with the correct actors.  I did "player.moveto CB03E92F" and found the Overboss and the 3 guys in suits in College Square back in Boston.

 

It seems all 4 of them are running the AI package 0008B336, BOSCadeDefaultServicePackage.  That makes them go to an XMarker on the Prydwen.  So as soon as they spawn at Fizztop Grille, they start traveling there.

 

The NPC records for those 4 actors show that BOSCadeDefaultServicePackage is indeed the package assigned to them in Nuka Ride.esp, so this isn't a mod conflict or anything like that, they are running the AI package that Nuka Ride assigns to them.

It seems that PipPad and "ChangeAnimArchetype" don't get along. When you put on your audition outfit for the first time, the character changes into a nervous posture. I solve that with a small Utility.Wait (1.5) before changing your animation archetype, so that you have time to stop looking at the pipboy.

I don't know why but every bug report I take really seriously XD I'm really glad and I will definitely have to package the scripts to avoid corruption in the downloads.

I suspect the reason most people haven't encountered this bug is because they are playing with new characters that haven't killed Kellogg yet, so the Prydwen doesn't exist.  Because of that, the XMarker the AI package refers to doesn't exist so the Overboss and his guests stay put at Fizztop Grille.

 

I fixed it by copying that package, changing the Location from the XMarker to Editor Location, and replacing the BOS package with the modified copy.  Fixed plugin attached.

So yeah, other than that issue with the AI package, the whole mod played really well.  All the quests worked as they should, the dialogue with its facial expressions and body movement is great, and the humor is just the right kind of twisted.  I loved the porn studio with the 70s porno music and lights.  The mod fits into the world really well, I liked the callbacks to the Porn Star quest from Fallout 2, and in general it feels like humor of the first two Fallout games.

 

This is a really well done and well written mod.  Kudos, @JBpy.

Thanks to the feedback, I could fix my clothing mod - patch for NukaRide.

Now the clothes get off for animations ?

Great, thanks! That would definitely explain what I saw.

 

As for the fundamental problem with SKK Combat Stalkers potentially spawning Pack raiders and setting them hostile, the notes on the mod suggest that should only happen IF "relationship is hostile" which is definitely confusing since the Pack raiders in NW aren't aggressive toward me. Does anyone have suggestions for how to troubleshoot that? If no, I'll likely start asking on the SKK Discord (when I find time).

 

On placement of the motorcycle, maybe a couple blocks southwest on the approach for the main entrance to DC would make sense? Fusion City Rising places an entrance to the DC Subway there as well, just southeast of Hardware Town. You still can safely walk between there to the entrance without worry that you'll be jumped by enemies (no random encounter spawn points on the way) and can pretty much see the entrance from there too.

@JBpy still plugging away on the dialogue revisions. I have to say this mod has an impressive amount of diialogue (Coming from me that's saying something) so it will take a few days... lol.

By the way, I forgot to mention the easy fix for incompatibility with unique player: just delete texture refs from the ARMA outfit Forms and that is enough.

After playing with this a while....I just gotta say well done @JBpy! This is a really enjoyable mod. If you expand on it further, I would humbly request the following:

 

1. Either make the apartment a bit more fleshed out with benches and CWSS ameneties or just give it a workshop so that it can be made to our liking.

 

2. Maybe make animations longer or more complex. Menacing Raiders from Hardship put on more of a pornstar performance at the moment.

 

3. Would like to see more errand quests for the bosses like the mule or cooking for Mason. Maybe in a perfect world, find some way for the pornstar to unify the gangs. I think its the little things like that which really put the polish on this mod.

 

4. Would like to see the studio fleshed out a bit more. Maybe recruit more actors for the business or add some kind of marketing and distribution scheme for videos.

 

Another idea I had is that if you could make sort of a Red Seat District in Nuka World where the pornstar could perform dancing as they do in Diamond City Expansion for tips. Caps kinda slow to roll in playing this out you know?

 

Have to say I love where you went with this. I sincerely hope you build upon it.

If you need to force the pipboy closed, you can do:

 

    If (UI.IsMenuOpen("PipboyMenu"))
        UI.CloseMenu("PipboyMenu")
        Utility.Wait(0.4)
    EndIf

 

The Utility.Wait is just to make sure it is fully closed before doing the next thing.

I just finished the Mod, loved it, went smooth! not a single hiccup! and i also have some comments:

1.- This is the first mod i've found where the heroine engages in sex activities without shame or worry for what the commonwealth people think, I loved the comment from the pack member: "You're a Wolf and don't care for what sheep's think of you"  that's VERY refreshing, almost every other mod debuff's for prostitution or make's you feel like you have to hide, idk, may be just the crazy perv in me, but that's something that makes me like it more.

2.- I agree in every point with @Olmech Specially on the apartment; would be easier for you to make it a player home and let us build to our content, CWSS for my is indispensable, but it would be another requirement in your list and not everyone wants it; i noticed a second floor and a closed door, and read somewhere your planing to expand it, still i think is best a clean empty place to let us build on it.

 

3.- I don't think i've ever seen so many moders playing, enjoying and helping on a single mod before, that alone is wonderful, and i thank you all for it your a beautiful and generous community, would be great if you could make all the mods to interact with each other, yeah i know and i want my birthday cake, but still, not only with Harship, but others, like Sexual Harrasment, Boston Devious Helper, Devious Devices, Crime & Punishment, DC Expansion, Ivy companion, SEU, Violate, Vanilla Fudge, pffff, etc. Let me dream! The more the merrier, if they can't be integrated, then include some similar features, there's a whole ecosystem there, waiting to be integrated.

 

                                I love the idea of the heroine being a famous porn star, recognized by random npc's everywhere, asked for sexual favors heading to a few mini missions, loved and admired by your settlers, hated and critized for others, desired by every man and some women in every faction, could be great, specially if the followers are included and like in SexEmUp can speed up the afinity process, that's very immersive, just like the motorcycle and Travis mission, man!, that could be my favorite mission! There's even some lines in the vanilla game your could use later on, like Deacon's "You're just a big and beautiful distraction" The line "I broke up with my girl, she caught me watching one of your videos" that, man!, that is genius, so surprising and refreshing.

 

4.- About that... how hard would be to include vanilla audio spoken lines even here and there, sort of C&P.

 

5.- Where are the BBC's? sorry i mean GBC's? meaning supermutants?

 

6.- I loved the mod, i did, but man that purse... doesn't match my porn star dress... ?
