Most hated character?

I'm assuming this is out of any games you've played, or this would be in the Fallout section.

 

Anyway I don't have just one character I hate above all others, there are many that I hate equally.

 

Notable characters would be Tali and Mr. Starchild from the Mass Effect series, I may be in the minority for Tali hating, but from ME2 onwards Tali just started grating on my nerves more and more, and I don't think I need to explain why I hate the Starchild. Another notable character that I hated would have to be Hope from FFXIII, to the extent that everytime I mentioned him I referred to him as FUCKING Hope, little twat had the LEAST likable personality out of the group. Then we have Trahearne from GW2 for taking the spotlight away from my character and essentially relegating the PC into a glorified errand boy. From Saint's Row 3 we have Kinzie whose voice just grated on my nerves, to the point were I wanted the PC to just shoot her. And finally Pyrrha from Soul Calibur V, I hated everything about Pyrrha (I hated her brother too, but only his personality, his fighting style (both of them) was alright) her personality, her voice and her fighting style.

 

That's also probably not all of the characters I hate in gaming as I'm probably forgetting one from other games.

I have many, perhaps due to misanthropic tendencies. I can't decide between these so I'll list them:

 

Rinoa Heartilly, Final Fantasy VIII - For being an idiotic, simpering co-dependant perpetual damsell in distress and setting back the progress of female leads in Final Fantasy and JRPGs in general about 10 years.

 

Adam Malkovich, Metroid Other M - For acting more like an abusive husband than a military commander, doing absolutely nothing of worth other than getting his own men killed repeatedly and still expecting to be respected as a some sort of hero and for making the single stupidest and most unecesarry self sacrifice I've ever seen.

 

Pet Social Workers, The Sims 3 - Not technically characters, but they qualify because I say so. These guys annoy the hell out of me. What sense does it make that a baby has to be starving, covered in it's own filth and shrieking in terror for days before a social worker takes them away, but a pet social worker takes all of your pets if one of them happens to be lonely - not hungry, not mistreated, LONELY for a while.

Rather than look for a mod to stop them however I instead use a mod to murder any social worker that dares turn up to my household, I believe this was the mature thing to do.

CJ from San Andreas. You're a career criminal - man the fuck up. Most of CJ's homies, for being dumb stereotypes.

Luc from the Saboteur. For his grating Frenglish. At least in Allo Allo it's supposed to be funny.

Easy Pete from FNV, for never giving me his dynamite. Just because I don't pick explosives as a tag skill doesn't make it rocket science to light a fuse and throw a stick.

Moira from Fallout 3.

 

Ramkamhaeng from Civ 5.

 

The scientist with the horrible fake german accent in XCom.

 

Not really a character, but annoying none the less is the advisor (Penultimo?) from Tropico 4.

She isn't technically a character but I hated her guts through out the entire series.

 

Khalisah Bint Sinan al-Jilani ~ Mass Effect 1-3

 

If they hadn't added the option ot knock her out in every game I don't know what I would have done

Dog from Duck Hunt hands down.

 

I swear, everytime his dumb face comes up to laugh at me for missing, I drop my controller and flip him off with both my hands.

Hate is a strong word , sure many of these characters are very annoying but do you really 'hate' them ?  

 

For me it has to be Raiden from the MGS/MGR series , don't get me wrong , they are great games but I hate !!! Raiden . his voice. his looks. his writing , I HATE him with every inch of my existance :@

Heh, I made sort of a game out of avoiding him whenever I went to Skingrad.

I've seen others point out that it can be sort of like a survival horror game, and it is. All you need is the ominous music every time you see that guy.. popping out of nowhere... stalking you... everywhere.

Pyramid Head is less creepy.

I second that Moira was an annoying little shit in FO3. The kids outside Becky's and Franks in The Den in Fallout 2. I hated them, they stole and I couldn't kill them or I'd get the Child Killer perk and then your game would go down the drain real quick....

 

Oh, the guy whose entire vocabulary and repertoire of words consisted solely of "PLEBS ARE NEEDED!" in Caesar II and III.

Why is emily a horrible person ? Cicero was the worst !

 

 

 

Cicero and Lucien could take out Alduin on their own if they wanted, but they don't, because they have better things to do.

 

 

Cicero is actually a pretty interesting character as well, if you actually bother to read his journals.

One more to add, Talbot from Uncharted 3, not really annoying, but come on, a guy who is enough of an asshole to leave his enemy to get eaten alive by spider deserves to drown in a pot of soup

Deckard Cain from Diablo 2.

 

"Sit a while and listen" just raked through my skin. That dude followed me through EVERY level and did nary lift a finger to help out, except tell stories!
