I really like the local flavors from the different starting traditions in each culture.

 

I've been participating in Sturgian arena tournaments...after parking my female companions in another town.

 

One thing that does frustrate me a little is my MC automatically protecting, rather than giving me the option of claiming, fallen local Sturgian women. This is the same guy who has had no issue with taking women as prizes after regular battles.

 

I'm assuming some changes here are already in progress with the new arena traditions you're developing. But on a related topic...

 

Have you considered replacing the random number generator behind the traits with some sort of system where you can allocate a certain number of points? Like at the start of Fallout 4, you can allocate points across Strength, Perception, Endurance, etc...but can't maximize everything. So if you had 15 points you could have a 10 out of 10 dick but only be a 5 out of 10 on general attractiveness. Or be 8/10 on looks with a 7/10 dick. Maybe things like perversity or fragrance could be on a sliding scale or be numbers in a range randomly chosen?

 

Just a thought. I have no idea how easy or difficult that would be to implement. RNG is probably simpler and there is some value in playing with whatever the RNG assigns. But it is a little frustrating in a long playthrough to miss out on features here and there (like Sturgian arena fun).

For protecting in tournaments I already ran into the issue myself and the solutions are going to be

1) Some settings you can set (because I can't open any kind of menu during a tournament)

2) Ability to talk to your companions and they will inform you of their own wishes (for instance a Sturgian or Honorable or Honorable Sturgian will prefer not to be protected at all)

3) More traditions, probably one in Sturgia which makes it illegal to protect downed fighters at all

1 thing this Protection thing in the arena is nice as you can avoid that some of your Companions that fight in the arena end up with 500 Children at late game why they get non stop raped.But please return the option that your Wife is save from Rape.My MC Protect always all Woman in the arena until now not 1 was raped thanks to that but yesterday i marry Lena go to the arena and in the first Fight she was raped in the second Fight she was raped again and my MC have done nothing so the MC Protect every Woman around the world but not his wife?

Well it's based on traits such as Honorable. Can't think of any reason it would ignore your wife. Were you knocked out?

And was your MC fighting in that group, or watching from the sidelines?

 

How mod-breaking are people finding 1.8.1 to be? A lot of the mods I like only recently updated to 1.8.0 so I'll probably be slow to switch.

no i was in the other Team was a 4-4 my MC Protect the other Woman that was in the loosing team a Companion from me and the 2 Woman in my Team but not my Wife.

And to 1.8.1 same for me have finish yesterday to fix all Mod and get a CTD free game for sure i dont update and make all again now if there is not a real important Update i remain on e1.8.0 for now.

By the way i read the change log and the bugs this update fix are the same that the Mod Basic fix do so for what break other Mods if the Fix is not need if you have that Mod

I'm not sure if you guys were playing another mod but probably, because the raid content was very boring and unsatisfying and even the person who wrote those events told me "You should probably just delete that crap ?" because of how unsatisfied he was with it. Also it was very old and became a bit buggy  and I didn't want to waste more time on it. But we will make a better raid menu with interactive events with consequences during the raid rather than the old version which just kinda appeared after and spit out some obviously random text lines at you. With my current knowledge of how wait menus work I should be able to make a much better raid system including some gameplay stuff which TW forgot to add I guess, like notables relationship with their nearby lords / happiness will affect how hard they are willing to fight the raiders.

I have no doubts you will, especially after the game's properly released, it's just that I found the raiding content the most accessible so mostly went for it when i play with this mod. Glad to hear you're working on a better version of the content tho

People like ambiental sex/debauchery, the raid scratched that itch, once we have animations a fully animated scene of this would be a favorite, even if the PC doesn't participate, for me, was one of my favorite things to do, I usually don't raid but got out of my way just for that little scene.

Well I don't really raid because it just messes up notable relations and makes it harder to recruit troops, and stuff like that event breaks every patch, and I had never heard anyone mention it even a single time, so I figured it would be fine to get rid of at the time. Also they didn't feel quite meaningful/real enough to the game world to be satisfying so I'll have to work on that as well.

Raiding is very good paired with Fourbiere(?) and roleplaying an evil or pragmatic character.

About nobody mentioning it, I would take it as a lot of people just likingi t.

FWIW I'm in the "keep notables happy" camp and never actually tried raiding during a PN game.

Why you get nothing from it actually other then a Penalty with Lords and the Village itself.But if it there some good PN content so i get something for Raiding in form of Young Virgin Woman or fun for my Troops/Moral/Mass Rape and so on the things change first its immersive at that time village was Raided near always and was never fun for the Woman in that Village second is it a good Way to play a real bad Boy Character

About the game - claiming 18yo is messy, because I have TWO times question if I want to claim 18yo and then I need to talk to her anyway. So how about removing asking for claiming, notifying the player (instead of asking), allowing player to claim via talking (or not) with some timeout. Same as for claiming captured females.

I like the 18/marriage pop-up. If I'm in the middle of besieging a town (fast forwarding and with many trebuchet/ballista messages), notifications appear so quickly that even with color coding it's easy to miss one.

If/when it gets added back I'll try it on some village with a culture I don't plan to recruit from.

I've been noticing and fixing lots of stuff in my current game such as: "X took care of Y" spam, gossip not working correctly, hearth lords family marriage not working correctly, law acceptance rate going up painfully slow, and remade some events with experimental new techniques, and I restored the old raid menu for now but I didn't test it at all. Also probably going to upload soon.

Yeah, so popup with notification, since player needs to claim the girl "manually".

Maybe. Whether you choose to click "claim her" or just a single-option "okay", it's still a click. If you mean you get that pop-up twice for a single girl turning 18, then I'm not sure why that would be. I only get it once. Maybe you have some conflicting mod?
