SOLUTION ACHIEVED!!! - Relationship Panel UI Fixed idk anymore

 

Creating a new D/S Dynamic no longer had the UI issue, finally! I created, ended, and created again without issue. However, I still had the UI issue only for the sim that held a D/S Dynamic at one point in the past. I had to restart the D/S Dynamic with the affected sim in order to fix the UI issue.

 

So to fix, restart your D/S relationship(s) with the affected sim(s) to fix the UI issue (this includes any sim you ended it with in the past). 

 

While I attempted this before it never resolved anything until now. After ending the D/S relationship one last time (as this is what I wanted all along) everything was as it should. If you never created a D/S relationship than you shouldn't experience the UI issue going forward.

 

 

 

To @EllaNoir: Technically the issue is still there such as in my case, but I shouldn't need to do this work-around to fix what broke my relationship panel. It sounds like (spit-balling here) you may have some data that is persisting across updates. In my case, an old D/S I ended irl weeks ago (and in-game months ago) was still giving me the issue. Perhaps any code related to 'history', 'duration' 'end' should be looked at for example.

how did you do that? cant find any button for ending the D/s dynamic nor for starting one. I know there is one there coz I remember starting it before

Your sim has to have at least the 'Dominant', 'Submissive', or 'Switch' trait and (I think) the other sim has to have the opposite trait (d or s). I used mods that allow me to add traits on a whim. I cannot speak to the more legitimate/intended method for achieving those traits and/or skills. But that is what I did to quickly enable the "Flirty Fetishes" social menu and ask "create D/S Dynamic". Once in a D/S dynamic, you will have the option to end it.

welp... I retract my previous statement declaring this issue fixed using the work-around I explained in my prior message, as I have been unable to reproduce it! 😫

The testing I did earlier was brief and not saved. As I returned to the game now to make the fix official I unfortunately still had the UI issue. I tried similar steps several times and still.... as fucked as ever.

 

 

IDK man... maybe I thought I fixed it the first time? Despite seeing the glitchy friend/romance bars correct themselves and scroll up and down the list with no missing sims... maybe it was only partially fixed at the time? The relationship list I have is a fairly long and I am noticing that sometimes when I open the panel, the beginning of the list looks fine, other times all issues are seen within the first few rows. But I can definitely say regardless of where/how, the UI issues are STILL here. 

 

I will keep my previous post up in case others who try it find it works for them. But idk where to go from here but to delete this mod and move on. I'm over it. 

 

 

@EllaNoir Your mod breaks the UI panel! Sim's names don't match their profile, missing sims in list, glitchy friendship/romance bars.

No other mod does this unless say it's a UI intensive mod following an EA patch. Your mod is lagging in finding a solution, and your multiple patch attempts are very telling and only adding to the frustration. I don't care if you are a "rookie" modder as you claim yourself to be and respectfully spare me the ADHD comment. Personally I am impressed with this mod especially for coming from a "rookie"  modder, but what the hell, this is ridiculous... I expect this crap from EA, not the mod community. 

 

I will happily eat my words if it is a 'me' problem. I do have many mods, and my save is a fairly large 1 year old file. But I doubt I am much different from other people reporting the same issues. Please reproduce this issue on your end, game test it, and/or offer some work-arounds. Perhaps other users/modders can assist.

Yea so listen- I think the mod may be broken. Wiped all of my other mods, deleted all save files, redownloaded and ran with just this mod. Nada. No traits showing up, no menu options- nothing. Every other mod I have (WW/DOS/etc) are fine- it's just this one. 

 

She posted there was a fix on patreon but it doesn't seem to have done anything. I'm frustrated with it, honestly. I've been running TS4 for years and nothing seems to fix this issue. 😞 Any one with any suggestions would be awesome. Again though, it is just this one. It worked fine in the past but this last update seems to have just turned it off somehow.

9.3 isnt giving me the relationship panel ui bug (at least on load), i havent tested extensively yet since i was just figuring out what was causing the exception, 50/50'd down to this mod

 

then again i dont know if the updates between 9.3 and this current one add much content and if any of the updates in between would work as well

YES same for me. their friendship and even romance levels keep messing up and its been frustrating me a lot !!!! i wasn't sure if it was actually caused by this mod but i believe so... so i can't even level up my sims in their dominant/submissive skills/traits and it really sucks. also for some reason i can't buy the dominant skill books ?? specifically those ones? idk whats happening

luciferleighs solution right above this post did work for me. odd how an older version that should be outdated somehow works much better than one that is supposed to be up to date

damn. wish i saw this sooner lol

i deleted the old file and it seems like there's only the updated one now, but yeah still, the issue is still there. i've been wanting to progress my sims D/S relationship soo bad 😭 i even followed the method she provided on her Patreon, basically recommending to delete the mod and save without FF, then to put back it in ur mods and reload ur save file with it. but ig only the old version works.... guess we just gotta wait for a fix 💔

*The Master trait is the title given to a Sim with masculine gender preferences and the Mistress trait is given to Sims with feminine gender preferences.

does the game look at the gender or pronouns or body frame or equiped gender or fashion choice?

how exactly does the chastity system work? i have a mistress (maxed all dominant skills + goddess maxed), a male slave (maxed all submissive skills + sissy maxed), he's collared and has signed the contract of consent, and im able to tell him to put on cock cage yet nothing seems to happen, is this just a feature waiting to be added or am i dumb?

I don't see the wheel and I can't even start a d/s dynamic relationship. I have the attributes and so does the other sim. I created the folder for the mod, and I have the package and script file in there.

Having the same issue as everyone else above. Even with the latest version.  The UI is messed up and there is NO D/S dynamic option even though I'm at full friendly and romance bars and one is D and one is S.  Nothing.  I've removed, reuploaded, deleted thumbcache.  Time for me to give up on this mod because it's causing more issues than it's worth.  Shame because I really wanted this storyline.

Just got back into the Sims and this is my first time using the mod, so Im not 100 on if everything is working as intended, but I think it is? My issue is different than what everyone have posted so far tho, I gave my sim all the submissive qualities, but the only one I see on the pie menu when I got into flirty fetishes is the brat options. Like I said, its my first time using it, so Im not sure if I'm doing something wrong or not, but I dont see submissive, or submissive trait, nor the others. After reading some posts before I saw mention that maybe some options only show up if you're talking to a sim with the opposite trait, tho Im not sure if that applies to this at all and Im not sure how to go about giving other sims traits to test it out with. If so I guess being a brat has no opposite option? Tho anytime I try to be submissive my only option is to whine about stuff. :p

As an aside, I think I got everything mostly working, except I have no nipple textures when wearing or undressing... the only reason I know I have them at all is when my sim takes a bath they magically have nipples. So I figured Im doing something wrong with that too. Oh, and some of the restraints dont work in Kriticals sub mod but I think they might be linked to levels or something, not sure, but this isn't their mod page so *shrug*. But if someone knows something about that too, let me know?

Oh, and Im using the exclusive version of the traits. If someone knows more, please let me know. I'll put in a picture as well to better explain it. This is all I ever see~

I absolutely love the idea of this mod - but I'm also having some issues.

 

When my sim acquires the Sub skill by 'Tease with Dance' or any other Submissive action, it seems to break their Hygiene bar, either making it disappear completely, or it breaks and becomes unresponsive. I am also unable to read any of the books from the mod. When clicked, nothing happens.
