AllTraits = Any Sim can have ANY and ALL BDSiM Traits. A Sadist can also be a Masochist.

 

ConflictingTraits = Only Sims with Dominant Type Traits can have Dominant Type Traits and vice versa--the way it has been.

FlirtyFetishes: BDSiM Official Guide & Info

 

FlirtyFetishes: BDSiM is a mod for The Sims 4 created to simulate the real-world BDSM lifestyle. My goal is to go beyond the sexual aspect that is received in BDSM and bring forth other great elements such as special relationships, training, various events, and so much more.

 

 

COMPATIBLE WITH ALL MODS!

(To avoid conflicts, please just ensure all mods are the most current version and compatible with the latest game patch, always, forever, no excuses, indefinitely, because I fucking told you to!)

 

Traits & How to Begin

To initiate FlirtyFetishes: BDSiM, begin by adding traits to your Sims through the Rewards Store or Wicked Whims' "Wicked Attributes".

 

 

 

For Sims who prefer the Dominant role, there are 3 traits available to be added:

 

 

For the submissive role of Sims, there are 3 traits as well:

 

 

And for Sims who enjoy being both, there is the Switch trait:

 

 

*The Switch trait activates the Dominant trait and Submissive trait skills and social interactions.

 

 

 

BDSiM Skills & Moods

 

 

 

Every trait comes with its own skill, moods, and social interactions. As a trait's skill is increased, more social interactions will be unlocked. Using a trait's interactions will increase the trait's skill progression.

 

For an example:

A Sim with the Dominant trait will start with 3 social interactions. Every time the Sim uses the Dominant socials, the Dominant skill will increase. When the Dominant skill progresses from level 1 to 2, more Dominant socials will be unlocked and available to use.

 

 

*Sims can only use BDSiM social interactions with other Sims who also have BDSiM traits.

 

 

Sims with BDSiM traits will begin to increase the major skills for whichever role they have. For example, a Sim with the Dominant role traits has an overall skill for the Dominant role that is increased for every Dominant act the Sim does. This is the same for Sims with the submissive role traits.

In our world, can one say they are a Master/Mistress simply because they said so? I think not. Therefore, the Dominant major skill is to see that your Sims must also earn their honorific!

But more on this later and what it means for your Sims with the FlirtyFetishes: BDSiM mod. In the meantime, be aware that the Dominant skill and the Dominant trait skill are two different skills with different purposes. And this is the same for the submissive skill and submissive trait skill as you can see examples below from the skill panel.

 

 

 Moods are unique to each BDSiM trait and will appear from certain acts or occurrences relevant to that trait.

 

 

 

 

D/s Dynamic

 

Now that we have discussed how to begin FlirtyFetishes: BDSiM and your Sims are happily situated with their BDSiM roles and traits, it is time to move on to the BDSiM relationships offered in FlirtyFetishes.

 

The first relationship that is available for your Sims is called the D/s Dynamic--Dominant/submissive Dynamic.

 

 

For this relationship to be created, you must have one Sim with a Dominant role BDSiM trait (i.e., Demeaning, Dominant, Sadist) and one Sim with a submissive role BDSiM trait (i.e., Degraded, Masochist, Submissive). These Sims will then need to have at least 50% progress in their Friendship AND their Romance:

 

 

Once this occurs, your Sims are ready to become a BDSiM item in a D/s Dynamic. A new pie menu category called “D/s Dynamic” will appear within the FlirtyFetishes Pie Menu Category.

 

 

Within the D/s Dynamic pie menu, you can “Ask to Create D/s Dynamic”. Fantastic! If the other Sim agrees, these two lucky Sims will now be in a D/s Dynamic. Congratulations! If not, keep trying. Sometimes it may take a bit more time to convince another Sim to engage in BDSiM; just like in real life, eh?

 

 

Titles & Ownership

Now, remember those major skills we were discussing earlier—the Dominant and submissive role skills? Increasing these skills will come in handy for the next relationship: Ownership.

Ownership is a wonderful commitment between two Sims, even more so than the D/s Dynamic. One Sim must be a Master or Mistress and the other Sim must be a slave for this relationship to be established.

For a Sim to become a Master/Mistress, the Dominant skill must be maxed. There are 10 levels.

 

 

For this skill to progress to completion, your Sim may use Dominant role socials i.e., any socials of the Dominant role like Demeaning, Sadistic, Dominant trait, etc., and the Dominant skill will increase. Or they can study with the BDSiM skill books by purchasing them from any bookcase:

 

 

 

For a Sim to become a slave, the submissive skill must be maxed.

 

 

Just as with the Dominant skill, this skill will increase with submissive role socials are used, such as from the Degraded, Masochist, and Submissive socials. Skills books are also available to purchase and read from any bookshelf!

 

 

 

Once the role skill is completed, your Sim has earned their deserving title! How exciting!

 

 

*The Master trait is the title given to a Sim with masculine gender preferences and the Mistress trait is given to Sims with feminine gender preferences.

 

It is now time for your Sims to begin their relationship known as Ownership in FlirtyFetishes: BDSiM. This relationship will start when a Master/Mistress collars a Sim with a slave trait.

 

*Please be aware Sims must already be in a D/s Dynamic before collaring and Ownership can be initiated.

 

There are two ways a Sim can be collared. If your Sims want to have a big event and show the rest of the BDSiM community your commitment to each other, then having a Collaring Ceremony is the way to go!

 

 

Collaring Ceremony

Simply go to “Plan a Social Event” under the “Social” category on your Sim’s phone. You will see the option to have a Collaring Ceremony. Select all the required parties for your event and location.

 

 

Now the Ceremony can begin! With this event, it has a main goal and other goals to complete.

 

 

To collar your slave, all your Sim has to do is simply open the D/s Dynamic pie menu and select “Collar {1.SimFirstName}”.

 

 

This will prompt the Ownership relationship and now your Sims are committed to one another!

What if a big ceremony isn’t your Sims’ style? No worries! Once the Master/Mistress traits are added to your Sims and they are in a D/s Dynamic with a Sim with the slave trait, the “Collar” social will become available. Then you may collar a slave Sim in the comfort of your own home…or wherever you please!

 

There are also buffs and whims that occur throughout FlirtyFetishes: BDSiM gameplay.

*Whims are a new addition I am still learning, so some socials may complete whims and there may be other bugs—but nothing to harm your game!

 

 

Creator’s Note: There are plenty of things in FlirtyFetishes that are not yet completed. Some photos may be empty and there may be other elements that are lacking. Please understand that I am adding updates monthly to fill and grow this mod. Your patience is appreciated!

 

Your feedback is greatly valued so please let me know if there is anything you would like to see added or different. I am happy to take most things into consideration.

And if you see anywhere that has a typo or is empty where there is mostly supposed to be a description or other writing, please let me know ASAP with a screenshot if possible!

 

*Troubleshooting: I am always willing to help resolve any issue that is affecting gameplay with FlirtyFetishes: BDSiM. But before you contact me, please take these steps first to save us both time and resolve the issue as soon as possible!

 

1.    Is the .TS4SCRIPT file only ONE folder deep?

The bar in your File Explorer should look like the photo below:

2.    Is your game updated? Are all your mods up to date—including FlirtyFetishes? Prove it.

3.    Have you removed all your mods EXCEPT FlirtyFetishes and loaded the game to see if the issue still exists?

4.    Have you read through this guide, like really read it, to see if maybe you are missing something?

5.    If you have done steps 1-4 and the issue persists, then please contact to me! For the quickest response for support, contact me via Discord. (Gain access from Patreon) If not, try X(Twitter) before LL. Whichever path you choose, I will do my best to get you and your Sims back on track!

Once I finally summon up the will to update my game, I'll definitely be giving this mod a look...Kudos to @EllaNoir for taking it on, I suspect it will generate a lot of interest if & when it develops further.

 

If it could be developed in coordination with animators & CC creators ( @Kritical  this would mostly mean you! ) that would be awesome!

One thing I wanted to mention @EllaNoir:
I'm really not an expert, but isn't 'domineering' normally a term a Dom/me would want to avoid being labelled as?
In discussions in certain (real life) kink scenes/communities it was always said how there's plenty of people (especially men) trying their hand at being a Dom/me, but the vast majority are just inconsiderate, selfish and 'domineering assholes'. At least that came up a lot.
As I understood it, an aspiring Dom/me should strive to be dominant, with all the perks and also responsibilities that come with that, and not end up being a 'domineering' idiot taking advantage and abusing people, thinking that's what D/s is about. 
People are people after all, but from what I heard one encounters such negative examples a lot.

But for all I know that could just be semantics that are different in each kink scene?

Like I said, not an expert, but since you mentioned correct terminology, capitalisation and such, at least I wanted to mention this.

As far as terminology goes Domineering is one people in a D/s relationship do not use. Dominant for male or female and submissive for both as well. If they are not partners and just doing physical acts. Top and bottom. Many relationships start with D/s and if it works will work into M/s or Master/slave where protocols are used as well as titles. That being said every T/b, D/s & M/s relationship are as different as the people that are in them. I think this is a great start and has vast areas it can grow into.  I am not sure 

 

I would suggest putting your traits into an area that allows us to find them when going to the pie menu (cheat sim info) (add trait)

 

If you would like to talk more about D/s community. we will have to figure out a private way to converse.

I haven't encountered any issues with separate households, however, the skills for the Sim not in the player's household may not advance in skills as soon.

Thank you! This was something that was considered, but I've decided to learn to create my own animations and CC. Definitely something that will be done and to look forward to in the future!

While this may be a thing in the community in real life, I decided to add this as a CAS trait for someone who can respect the rules of BDSM, but also have the characteristics as someone Domineering. I actually had 6 traits, Domineering and Submissive included, in a poll on my Patreon, for the first traits to be added, and Domineering won by a long shot lol. So yes, in the real community, it might be. abad a thing. But in our simulated world, it can be what you want it to be ? thanks for mentioning it. Always feel free to do so!

I'd like to ask if you have any recommendations for Wicked Whims settings to complement / facilitate the way your mod works?  (I ask because when I first installed it and set my test couple appropriately, I then had them initiate the D/s relationship -- at which point they promptly rushed off to have sex with the newly-minted submissive taking the top role, which was rather jarring...  LOL! )

I have no issues with the terminology, but I am troubled by the fact that none of the Dom's options are positive: lie to get attention, point out flaws, embarrass... I want to have a positive S/D relationship and while humiliation and punishments are a wanted and essential part of the scene, lying and pointing out flaws are not. These options make it seem a bit abusive. I love D/S relationships and your mod has infinite potential so I hope to see it developed further.

 

I hope I don't come off as too negative. I have wanted a mod that adds a D/S dynamic to the game pretty much ever since I came upon Wicked Whims. I thank you for this.

I haven't gotten too far into the mod myself, but I had the same feeling about this.
The whole interaction for the Dominant being called "Manipulate", gives this a bad vibe, in my opinion.
I would recommend "train (sub)" instead. That can incorporate "manipulation", in the sense of encouraging, pushing or just telling them to do a certain thing.
That all those interactions seem to be purely negative doesn't sound too good to me either.
But it's a start! 
Don't want to be too critical, it's all coming together still.

@EllaNoir Considering how much damage "50 shades of grey" did to the reputation and overall perception of kink/BDSM, would you consider more wholesome/positive interactions for the D/s couple?
In my personal understanding it should be about nurturing and training, making the best out of each other. 
It would suck if it would appear to be all about manipulation, abuse and personal instant gratification.
But this is, like you mentioned, a simulation or imitation of life, so maybe a purely fetishized depiction might be what people want.
Just doesn't sit too well with me, seeing kink and BDSM presented from that kind of angle.
