Good to see that this might be moving to AE soon. Have all the requirements been updated?
Another question. Does this place nice with VR? I just got it in the sale, and I'm tempted to try it out but I don't expect it to work that well.

There is, in point of fact, already an alpha for AE. Beware that Become Your Killer has been scrapped for being busted and unmaintainable, and WeightManager is being ported separately - as well, we are presently having trouble with equipable bellies, less than half of which are our fault.

 

As for VR, you will find Gaz' Kofi linked on that page - where he has a donation goal of getting a VR capable rig. At that point, he will be committed to developing a VR suited version as well.

I'm afraid not - and it would be better just to address the crash. Did it generate any crashlogs in Skyrim Special Edition/Data/NetScriptFramework/Crash?

Im confused creatures on the ae alpha can swallow you fine but its hit or miss if they will kill you on digest like npcs do no Idea why any thoughts

No I don't see a crash folder NetScriptFramework folder and I don't see a crash report

 

but it keep happening when I let a follower vore a enemy that leaves a skeleton

Oh that's neat. I gave up and refunded VR because I could barely get the damn thing to work right even with mods. But at least the mod is still being developed.

Yeah, that's a common glitch. If it annoys you though just type in (help swallowed) and player.unequipspell (the id it gives you) to remove it

You're trying to unequip the "swallowed by follower" MESSAGE, the one you wanna unequip is FE000CE6, the one marked as a spell

Got an accessory question for the veteran modders out there, is there a way to make any jiggle physics mods work with Devourment? I've seen lots of videos of it, but i'm not too mod-savvy, so I was wondering if anyone knew the process.

I really like this mod, but there's one issue I keep running into over a longer playthrough. Eventually, something inevitably messes up that requires flushing the vomit queue (usually it's something stupid like NFF warping a follower to me after they've been supposedly swallowed, causing a bugged out vomit queue entry). The real problem is after using the "flush vomit queue" debug feature, it induces a permanent ~5sec delay to EVERYTHING devourment does except the hotkey menu. Using the "Reset Devourment" debug option doesn't seem to work, and using ReSaver to clear out the old scripts only makes things worse - it fixes the delay issue, but breaks weight gain from food and messes up the naming in the notifications (ex. "[...] swallowed [...]"). Trying to uninstall and reinstall Devourment using ReSaver mid-playthrough doesn't work, as I get an infinite loading screen when loading up the script-cleaned save after disabling Devourment + Devourment Spell Tomes.

 

Does anyone know how to fix the script delay issue WITHOUT trying to use ReSaver? Using the Flush Vomit Queue feature is basically inevitable due to various jank, but it'd be nice to find a workaround for the script delay it causes without breaking the rest of the mod...

 

Edit: I found that doing Stopquest and Startquest on DevourmentManager and DevourmentUtil allowed the Reset Devourment debug tool to work, and that tool is able to fix the issues caused by ReSaver cleaning, but I still end up with the original long delay caused by Flush Vomit Queue. One step closer to saving my playthrough...

if there is an AE alpha already, did it jsut bypass the .net script framework, or did you find a work arund the fact meh doesn't want to make a AE version of his mod?

We bypassed both it and Libfire completely; they weren't strictly necessary for what we needed to do.

Very nice,  I am glad that you bypassed it mainly because the maker doesn't want to update it for AE, so good to see that you were able to do it a different way without it.

Some, but not related to those. Gaz is going to port weightmanager separately, Become Your Killer has been dropped for being a massive pain in the arse, and problems with the new Racemenu are causing inconsistencies in the function of the equip bellies, if you use those. Alright, so I just updated to the new Devourment, but for the life of me I cannot figure out again how to activate it so everyone else can be preds too....could I get some help?
