Exactly what meshes/textures do I need to install?

1. Following recommendations for beginners posted here.

 

  Wild guy's female body details or Luumia's Smoothish 2? The guide recommends Smoothish, but I saw a lot of other mods recommending Wild guy's textures. They're both pretty old, no idea here. Also, Smoothish has both male and female textures. Does this mean I can install wild guy's and Luumia's male textures alongside?

  Wild guy recommends Cmar's anatomy mod. It seems to replace the default nipples? (nipples only? not breasts?) And there are penis and bottom meshes too? They're super old, don't know about them.

  Recommended HDFeet textures. These are just textures, as I get it? They won't conflict with any bod meshes? Are they default, or...?

  It says EVE body is great, so I download it. Before that I browsed the download section, noticed that BetterBody by Hiroki had the most downloads, but it's been updated pretty long ago (2018). Besides, I don't like how it looks anyway. So, EVE it is. In the Eve's page there are files "for those who don’t use Wicked Whims". I do use WickedWhims, but what if I want to replace every female's body with EVE? I want everyone to have it, because I think it looks great. Do I install the default files alongside? Or only them? Now, if I nstalled the default version, does this mean every sim will have EVE's body by default? What is this option called in body selector? Is it "native" or "default"? Also, why doesn't EVE have a section in downloads. I wouldn't know it existed if not for that guide.

  The next is Sopor's Allure (brest meshes). Again, it has the core version for "default replacement of the nude mesh top for females allows the mesh to appear in CAS" and the accesory version for WW's body selector. I don't want every female to have Sopor's breast meshes. Do I just download the accesory version? As I undestand it, now I won't see it in CAS, but will have the option to select it using the WW sim menu?

  The next is Heavy Brests. The guide clearly states to use either Sopor's Allure or Heavy Breasts. but I noticed that there's "Stand Alone Nude Top" optional file. I want the option to have HeavyBreasts for WW's body selector. Is this the file I should use if I just want that and not for it to replace the original meshes? (which would be EVE's, if I used their default option?)

  Bouncing Boobies. Does this mod simply add the animation to make the breasts bounce? Doesn't replace/add any meshes and should be fine with any breast mesh?

 

2. A lot of animations from another guide recommend certain meshes too.

 

  Amra recommends both Lunar's animation for penises, that appears to be outdated (does this make his meshes outdated?) and Noir's Pornstar penises. I have also seen his Futanari Penis mod. No idea if I should use futanari penises only for females and the other for only for males. Asking because I saw some weird penis behaviour in sims. Installed both of his mods and in some animations, when used futanari penises, the penis was not where it was supposed to be. It was either floating a bit, or pointing at the nose when performing a bj, or any other issues. Is this normal behaviour? Even the default penis sometimes looks weird in some animations. Is this an animation problem then? Some of them might be too old? A number of them dated back to 2017 and they were recommended!

  A.Trois requires Azmodan's Improved Male Rig. Is this a mesh or some kind of animation? Do I install it alongside some other male mesh? What about penises? It also requires Sims 4 Tongue by autobanned (which is outdated as stated by autobanned himself) and Cherry Cum mesh (which has a newer version not on LoversLab). Do I still install the tongue and the cum mesh? Will the animation work without them as intended? If I install only the newer cum mesh?

  These are just two of many. All of them have their own requirements.

 

3. I won't even start on clothing and other CC.

 

Kritical's Naughty Collection wants me to install EVE's body mesh v6, but I already have the 8th version? Is it okay to use the newer one, or do I actually have to download the 6th?

Erplederp's Hot Stuff has 10 files. Overlays, feet, textures... What do I need here? I can read the front page thoroughly, don't get me wrong. I am just a bit lost when I add all the info there with my questions above.

Many other clothing mods require their own meshes and textures, many of which seem to conflict with each other and my head is spinning trying to undestand what exactly I need here or there. I don't have time nor energy seemingly required to read all the hundreds of pages of every mod, but wouldn't it be nice for modders to update their front pages sometimes or provide a better description for newbs like me who don't know everything there is to know about Sims 4 modding? For example, here I had to go to support and read twenty pages to understand that you need both "Gold" and "Platinum" animations and only one type of each! Just one sentence would'be been enough...

 

TL:DR

I would appreciate it very much, if someone posted a good guide on what exact meshes/textures/other mods I need and how to make them work without any conflicts. Or just point me to somewhere. Two guides that I provided links for don't answer my questions.

I asked my friend about the possibility of sharing his "mods" folder, but it is too big. He said that there were some attempts to make AIO mod packs, but every single one of them was abandoned in the end. Also, no mod developer would be ok with that. Shame.

@yoyoman69 I never talked about the whole Cmar's anatomy mod usage, I only spoke about 2 files from there which are nude female top and bottom, there are the instructions about this in the mod topic. And you don't have to use exactly those meshes, they are just my personal choice and you're free to use whichever you like more. If you don't install any nude body meshes at all, the default WickedWhims body will be used. Cmar's female top and bottom give you the shapes and my FBD mod gives you textures.

The male part of Cmar's anatomy mod (the morphing penis) isn't compatible with WW (if not outdated at all) so you must not use it.

And yes, you can install male and female body parts taken from different mods. Note that usage of any other penis mesh except the WW default may cause some animations look incorrect (even if it's generally compatible with WW) since penis size really matters and the majority of animations are created using the WW default penis.

You also must not use Azmodan's Improved Male Rig to avoid conflicts and visual issues because it's already included in WW by default. Rigs are mot meshes, they are skeletons to animate body parts. You don't need any additional rig at the moment, WW already contains all necessary additional rigs, so forget about it.

Yes, exactly. You can use only one default override that will be visible in CAS and you can use as many non-default meshes as you like. You can set different meshes for different sims in the game using WW body selector (including the default override mesh that you use).

 

I would not recommend you to collect the entire bunch of body mods and install it at once. It's better do it little by little, for each body part with testing in the game, once you're done with one part, you can continue with another one.

@wild_guy Thanks for clearing out some of the misconceptions I had. I won't download any rigs or penises then. Still, some CC clothes require certain other body parts or textures. Namely, MISSme's two futa clothes mods require Noir's and LunarEclipse's futa penis texxtures. Do I just download their texture overlays? Or do I still need their meshes as well, as the clothes seem to show them. Of course I will have to make sure that they're not default. And this question goes for animations as well. If they list some mods as required, do I just ignore it, as is the case with rigs, penises and tongues?

All in all, could you list your personal 2021 go-to choice of default and non-default meshes and textures?

I don't know, they say you need textures. Honestly I think that's pretty strange requirement but it's up to you what content to use and what not. Of course you can try those clothes without required textures and see how it looks and you can not use exactly that CC if you don't want to install additional textures. Anyway it's better to ask author.

Animations is quite different case. Usually you must have the CC required for animations for them to look correct. The required CC is mostly objects that sims use in animations either as inventory or as locations. If you don't have the object required as locations for an animation, you just can't use that animation since there is nothing to click on to start the animation. And if you don't have the object required as sims inventory, the animation will work but it will look incorrect because necessary inventory is missing.

Oh, I don't use a large variety so maybe I'm not the kind of person to look up to.

Always WW default penis + Lunar Eclipse's default male skin (that I edited for myself) + Luumia body hair (also edited). That's for all males.

Cmar's female top and bottom nude meshes + my FBD for all females.

And Necrodog's default HD feet v.5 for all.

For animations: Azmodan's female strapons for animations that involve strapon usage and CherryPie's cum mesh for animations that might use it. Other CC depends on particular requirements of animations you use.
