DerpedPerd Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 I've been getting this bug & errors everytime midgame & i haven't even reached diamond city... at 1st, it's all ok, going smoothly & no problems then halfway through or when reloading the save, stuck at 68% forever.... Varithina Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 The install for aaf seems to change every time a animation pack or aaf itself is updated, for me it kinda defeats the purpose of having a framework in the first place if what are in effect sub mods (animation packs) keep in effect killing it, I gave up on trying to keep a working aaf ages ago, if you just go with the basic, minimum install of aaf then you should be ok, but that may well mean half the mods that require it not longer work due to missing animation packs. Chances are you will be constantly waiting for the install guide to update every time the animation/other mods or aaf itself update which can sometimes take weeks to sort out, by which time of course something has updated in effect killing aaf again, which then leaves you waiting for the install guide to be sorted out again. Personally I would rather aaf simply rejects or ignore animation packs or other mods that for what ever reason no longer work with it, which should at least allow us to keep a working game longer that a couple of week or sometimes even a couple of days.

Jakeripper Posted July 26, 2021 Posted July 26, 2021 I'm having the same troubles. Just reinstalled everything and started a new game using Mod Organizer 2. I spent days trying to get it to work in another game and thought I had finally succeeded but Violate and Sexual Harassment still weren't running animations so I started over once again. I was using this as my guide to reinstall everything The xSE Preloader says No game data on top level when I try to install it and I have edited the XML to the specifications for MO2. I'm still getting used to MO2 as I used to use MM. I tried switching to Vortex and had nothing but headaches. Both MM and Vortex I completely uninstalled before switching to MO2. I am still in Sanctuary in the new game and I am trying to get somewhere to test either Violate or Sexual Harassment. I am using Loot to sort the load order as I am still trying to figure out the features of MO2, like how to manually sort load order. Wish me luck.

No, that's an error directed at Animators and not end users. That one doesn't prevent AAF from working and animations play flawlessly. THIS is why we want people to come to the AAF Discord for troubleshooting. So people don't attempt 'support' by talking out of their ass. ?

I made no mention of it preventing animations from working AAF add it's own padding to prevent issues. It clearly fucking says it in the log. And I also mentioned two other viable things to check that you just glossed the over. I have provided more support on these forums than all of quips combined. And am far more capable to so without talking out my ass as I can provided support outside the purview of one setup. So why don't you let the people who bother to regularly help those who post on the forum do so and you can feel free to stick to the discord and troubleshooting your nuanced guide instead of quoting me on topics months old when the user I replied to hasn't even posted need for more help. K, no thanks, bye.

Because the forums are a messy clusterfuck of wild quotes, inaccurate, mis-represented or outright incorrect information, and a drawn-out headache to troubleshoot even the most basic of issues. There's a reason there's a giant "TAKE IT TO THE DISCORD" on it. And your hyper-defensive attitude at being called out says everything, honestly.
