[mod] Character Body Overhaul

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

If you put Barbershop below Carnalitas/CBO (and better character UI) you get the correct display.

Barbershop suggests its load order below clothes mods like EPE (IE CBO), but canalitas suggests barbershop above it. SO there's no real way to  rectify that with load order.

I run with babershop below them all personally, reckon it works out fine.

please upgrade it as soon as possible, now it can't work when I am playing persian kings.

Usually you need to wait before updating your game, I'll stay a few months in the previous update before moving on

This is a good way to do it,but Steam makes it so fucking annoying to do.

Sure you can roll THE GAME back to  a previous patch, but all workshop mods automatically update. There's no way to stop them. So your game and LL mods are are 1.10.2, but half yourworkshop mods are for 1.11 and shit breaks.

Crazy tto me Steam doesn't let you choose to turn off auto updates on mods.

its being worked on dont worry it just takes a long time because of how intensive it is, and the majority of the mod work currently is one person

Which is why i always backup both the workshop folder and the (manual) mod folder in documents. Does nothing for you right now but once you get a solid mod order going i would suggest to copy a snapshot of your workshop folder so you have the option to force it back. You can find the CK workshop mods under steam > steamapps > workshop > content > 1158310

Then i just have them ready to go like in the example image.

The only finicky thing about doing it this way is that the workshop / paradox launcher won't always realize that you are running an older version of workshop mods, so when you attempt to update everything to the newest version steam won't be able to fix it for you. You will have to completely remove all the content of the ck workshop folder and then verify integrity of game files to get everything up to date again (which requires all the mods to be redownloaded from scratch).

Other than that little bit of annoyance it will allow you to keep playing previous versions of the game with older workshop mods.

Is there a way to improve performance (court frame rates and time speed) because the mod kinda kills my late-game performance

the community patch helps a little with this, but both it and this mod are currently updated please wait for it to be updated and then im sure we can look at optimising further

hello, would just like to ask a few questions. fairly new with CK3 and how mod works, but i'm having issue with CFP and CBO + CBO Vanilla is on.

Only affected items are cloaks and rings with the icon (see the selected cloak and the icon on the left side of the name) any other cloaks seems to work fine. Without the CBO and CBO Vanilla, these cloaks works as intended, but not when CBO is on. They seem to be warping or as if the clothing is not recognizing the body. Is this an a known issue or just something within my load order.

tbh i don't even know what those icon means and I'm fine with not using them, but the AI seems to automatically apply them specially with church/religious characters and espionage. kinda gets tiring editing them one by one through the course of my playthrough

My Load Order from top to bottom:

Spouse Designer 1.11
Spouse Designer - Toggle Nudity (Character Creation)
Young and Beautiful
Nameplates
Community Flavor Pack
Better Barbershop
Carnalitas
CBO
CBO Vanilla
Change Character Appearance
CCA + Barbershop Compatch
Divine Intervention Menu

If I'm not mistaken, the lower mods overwrites the ones on the top, right? Everything else seems to work fine, except for this.

CBO is not updated for 1.11.

And you  neeed the CBO community patch (that'll probs be updated 1st), plus CBO+CFP comp mod... so basically you need to read mod descriptions in the future.

Thanks. I added the Community Patch, but is that supposed to be below the CBO Vanilla or just below CBO?

First rule of modding CK3 - you need to make sure that the version of any mod will work with the version of the game you have. So if you have allowed your game to be updated to 1.11 you are probably stuffed until the mods get updated.

Second rule of modding CK3  - lots of mods require a compatibility patch (compatch) for them to work properly with another mod (or mods). For example, CBO requires a compatch to work properly with CFP. This is a different patch than the CBO Community patch. And while we are here, the CBO Vanilla patch is only required if you prefer a more 'vanilla' body shape rather than the more 'generous' sizes provided by default CBO.

Pro Tip: Always use the notification option for any mod you are interested in. It can save you a lot of time and trouble. Also keep an eye of the support threads as sometimes quick hotfixes get posted directly into the thread.

is this compatible with legacy of persia?

definitely not, some Persian rulers are topless, with some clothing items completely missing from the barbershop.

That's because it's a code repository that you're supposed to use with git, not a file storage site. You can download repositories manually by clicking 'download zip' under the green 'code' button to the top right.

Edit: Or you can right click an individual file and 'save as'.
