More complicated follower mods and SL mods compatibility (Devious Followers; Submissive Lola)

I'm having a difficult time getting the more complicated and extensive follower mods (Vilja, Sofia, Selene Kate, etc) to work with SexLab mods like Devious Followers (Continued) or Submissive Lola the Resubmission. I think it is because these follower mods use their own follower system and not the game's (they also do not show up in Nether's Follower Framework). Probably because they were designed to be able to be used as followers along with whatever vanila followers provided by the game since the game limit is only one follower at a time.

The problem with this is that these custom followers are more interesting and fun to play, just because they are more fully fleshed out and developed than the standard pretty-face follower mod on the nexus. So from a role-playing perpective, it would be fantastic to be able to get them to work in one of the Sexlab follower mods.

Does anyone have any ideas for a quick fix or a compatibility patch or something that would allow these follower mods to be included? Generally the custom follower mods use their own extensive custom dialog trees. I also noticed in SSEDIT that neither Sofia or Vilja were in the follower faction or something like that compared to a standard mod like Hedy, but when I tried to add them to that faction, it didn't make any difference in game play.

Another Option would be the console.

1: Add them to the potential follower faction

2: set their relationshiprank with you to 3 or 4

now you can recruit them with the normal follower system.

Obviously a not so elegant way which has to be repeated in every new game, but its relatively fast.

The reason why they arent in that faction is to avoid it fighting with the Vanilla system (surprise)

Similar to Serana, those Followers have their very own Quests which hold all their functionality and putting them into the default Faction can mess with their own AI in.. undesired ways which is why its not recommended to add them to that Faction

Follower mods like DF or SubLola however look for that Vanilla Faction, as its the most sufficient and least complicated way to check for Followers. Followers not in that Faction usually dont want anything to interfere with their AI anyway - which is again something that can cause issues when you bring those Followers in contact with those mods

Would it be less disruptive then to force DF or SubLola to register a custom follower mod via the console, if that is possible?

SE version no more available

It's very very complicated as one can change, adapt, modify behavior, everything on a follower.

I use it for a year know and still discover new features.

It handles Serana flawlessly, Faye no problem, Sofia no problem.

Have a Netch in your home, no problem.

Did not test Vilja.

The console is just a way to edit objects ingame without having to start the CK/xEdit, thus it makes no difference whatsoever. I believe the mods force your Follower into the default follower faction anyway - and they are both running packages on that Follower

"Custom AI" in this game only means that the specific NPC has some unique packages for them that gives them some special functionality  or makes them do specific things in specific locations. Having things like follower systems or DF/SubLol running on them might overwrite those packages which can cause minor oddities
