If there was one nude mod for any girl in this game (and I mean any girl), which one would you choose to have one? For me, it would be Ann for obvious reason XD

I would love to try and mod this game but I have no idea where to start.

probably with the 3dmigoto tutorial. its a thing people use to mesh mod videogames including koei tecmo games lately, such as nioh 2. this is the closest thing to a tutorial for using it.

if it doesnt work you can bring it up in their github page i think and they might be able to fix it

I tried using 3dmigot with it before, but it didn't work properly. Instead of getting proper models and .dds files I was only getting some random image craps.

So you either needs a better knowledge regarding the game shader to specify on the .ini or 3DMigoto only support 3DSMax which is most likely since it's source coding is based in IB VB which are 3DSMax format.

Also the game engine is Omega which is infamous for not supporting mods or making it extremely difficult to get them to work.

Samurai Warriors, Warrior Orochi,etc.
Some of these games got modded because there were more people who had interest in thsi game.
As for Persona it's more of a niche game and don't have that much public.

Oof omega huh. I need to get around to watching the video though. The problem I have besides the length is the information overload. I think it's a video I need to slowly digest.

well i guess its never a bad time to learn how to use 3dmigoto, if not for this game than for something else in the future lol

Welp for some reason 3dmigot just started working with persona 5 now...
And I did the exact same thing I did last time....
But maybe in a different screen?

So I watched some of that 3dMigoto video and I got it for the most part. Thought it would be harder to understand. But for the Blender part, do you need to know everything about Blender to mod? I have never used Blender before.

For the most past yes. Since you will need to create new meshes for breasts etc....
If you only want to make things invisible understanding 3dmigoto is enough.

I might need to have a different approach.

I'm watching Blender tutorials on YouTube specifically from Blender Guru. The whole mod thing seems pretty cool. I just hope that I can do well in it.

I swear there was a post here (right before this one)  asking for instruction on 3dmigoto file.
But as I was about to quote it it disappeared anyway....

Here you go.
Just extract it in your game folder and create a "Mods" folder.
There are already 2 parameters I was using before and I noticed that they were working for grabbing almost all models.

You can change "_vb8" & "_vb3" to anything you like as I was just testing when I added them.
Btw _vb3 might be kinda useless lol.

Yeah sorry about that. I found the files on github and I thought my question was dumb so I deleted it. Thanks for the help though. I installed the one you gave here. I found the index buffer hashes for Panther's suit, pigtails, and her whip.

I see. I also have other hashes here while I was testing.
However I spent most of my time trying to work with the model but anyway...

Weren't these models the ones from P5D and the PS4 JP P5S ripped, modded, and converted for XPS (As the watermark indicates)? I almost forgot we had these edits. Would be good news for people modding the game as they can just convert them again to what the game uses instead of modding/making the 3D models from scratch all over again.

models mods credit to Xelandis on DA

btw i doubt those mods would work in game (bodies are custom made i think, different bones/skeleton or something like that)

Do you perharps have the source? Wher eyou found them.

Edit: Nvm I think I found them... Gonna check it.

After a crappy port(?) from the xps nude models.....
Legs were spread so I'm guessing that's one of the issues....
Other might be the image format. (.png) for testing.

For the frame analysis portion, I made one of Panther in Alice's jail and for some reason, I couldn't export the model and yes I have the 3DMigoto add on installed for Blender. Do I need to only export the files that match the hash for Panther's suit?

I found out that in Jail each model has a different "shader you need to search".
This is my setup for Ann.

Spoiler

image.png.2ccd95e2443aa9222f3770189ab4a3ee.png Ann shader = ba3613fbf83ce352

..................................

Now I think I found out the issue and it's most likely the way I ported it which is kind of a crappy way of sorts.
Things to note.....
The model I was using is most likely from the first p5 game or the original artist (modeler). So skin color is different (can be fixed later).
Now for the strange ..... spikes the reason is likely the way I converted(?) .xps to 3ds (.vb.ib).
After removing the uneeded parts I exported it to fbx with only the meshes than imported back to blender  and merged it with the original model to later remove the original.

I need to do it because Blender plugin needs .vb .ib data to export properly. And the issue here is since it's using an "old" data it's not exporting the extra vertex.
A way to fix it would be exporting the model directly from 3ds max which is a program I don't have.

Or I may be missing something completely....

I think you messed up the weight transfer, make sure u do vertex mapping-nearest vertex and source layer-by name in blender. Make sure u delete the tail on her original outfit beforehand or it messes up part of the model. U can export it as a vb and ib if u merge the xps mesh with the original mesh in blender and then separate by loose parts to get rid of the parts u don't want. I just haven't been able to get the textures to look good.
