Bodyslide Issue

So, I am trying to convert an item to work with the AB body. However, even before I edit the item, in Bodyslide I select the item, select a preset to view it on. The item shows, but the body doesnt, why can I not see the body?

Does it have a body? Like is at an item for equipment slot 32? Because BodySlide only shows the converted mesh, and meshes other than the ones for the armor slot do not contain a body object.

Is there a body in the nif? If there is no body in the nif then all that will show in bodyslide will be the outfit or item.

I've managed to solve it, apparently the body and sliders weren't transferring. So that is fixed, however, now I run into the issue that when I'm looking at it in visualize and outfit studio the mesh food well on the body, but when I'm game after building, it clips.

Was there normally a body underneath the armor? If not then what you need to do is use outfit studios zap option to zap out the body that is under the armor to remove the clipping.

If it clips a bit just increase mesh volume of outfit in this place, also you can try add zap slider to remove body part that lay under clothes and cliping

But if you have large cliping this is probably because of different boneweight for outfit and body

There wasn't one with it when I loaded it into outfit studio, it was just the clothing piece stand alone. I had to set it to use AB sliders.

I think I might know what the issue is. When Unload the project, there is a massive space between the straps (the things that clip into the body in game), and what I've been doing is editing the mesh down to skin level, then saving, then building.

I think what's happening, is the space I am removing is actually acting as a buffer, or displacement. It didn't occur to me til just now that the space I am removing before saving, is about the same as the amount it's clipping into the body when I build it into the game files.

I think that may be the issue. I'll fiddle with it when I get home and see if that is indeed the case and report back here with my findings so the topic can be concluded and so it may help someone else in the future whom runs into a similar issue.

Ok, so, have done some testing, and, doesnt seem to matter how I edit the mesh, on build it goes back to being the same thing EVERY time... Here is what it looks like in-game, and in body-slide.

For some reason, it will NOT allow me to use any Atomic Beauty Presets =/

Probably you missing something with mod manager configuration if you use MO2, also check if you build outfit in proper location and name that game uses

Ok, further testing reveals that ONLY DD items do this, other outfits/meshes, convert just fine O.o
