ChancellorKremlin Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 So dies legendary film critic Roger Ebert, at the comparatively young age of 70, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Roger was the first ever film-critic to win the Pullizter Prize for criticism in 1975, only eight years after becoming a film critic in 1967. His reviews generally gathered large audiences and have been syndicated on thousands of newspapers and websites around the world, and were famous for their no-nonsense approach and simple thumbs up or down ratings. RIP Roger, while I disagreed with a few of your movie reviews, I found the majority to be spot on, and a good indicator of the quality of any given movie. Tread lightly, you're in a better place now, where bad movies haunt you no longer. Sad days.
Happysparkles Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Interesting point made, I am one of the most out of it people there is (Thanks to my magic key to LaLa land) But even I've heard his name. A Legendary critic indeed. My he Rest In Peace .
Ashal Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 I frequently didn't agree with his opinions on movies, but I still always sought out and respected his opinion regardless. He'll be missed, he was the last of the celebrity critics.
myuhinny Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Quite a few have passed away recently Roger Ebert and Annette Funicello died at age 70 and Margret Thatcher. Annette Funicello had quite a few good movies.
Kamen Rider Kuuga Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 No matter what, he had one Hell of a sexy voice.
