ElvenScoundrel Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 I can't be the only one that's noticed the increase in high quality TV shows these past few years! It seems, and I might be quite wrong here, that there's less sitcoms and more interesting and engaging shows. What are you guys watching or staying up to date on? I'm watching: Game of Thrones Spartacus Falling Skies Arrow The Walking Dead Vampire Diaries Anything else that's interesting out there?
Contessa Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 Supernatural has maintained a good quality for me. I've loved it from the beginning. Great characters, good and interesting storylines, ability to make fun of itself from time to time. It has it all!
Strelky Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 I don't watch TV much, but I'll always get up early to watch Ed, Edd, and Eddy
Emily Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 All culinary shows and travels. Especially japanese culinary show like the iron chef.

More like decrease, and most of the really good stuff gets cancelled. NCIS Supernatural Doctor Who That's all I watch.
Dude500X Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 Dweedle has a condom ready for when he jizz's his pants when Doctor Who resumes in NZ
Emily Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 Do you mean you're ready for an autopsy for crime scene investigations?
Veta Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 Supernatural has maintained a good quality for me. I've loved it from the beginning. Great characters, good and interesting storylines, ability to make fun of itself from time to time. It has it all! HAHAHAHHA nice joke mate . The walking dead season 3 was a big disappointment , the zombies were just foders while the series became a drama between two groups of people .Also !SPOILER ALERT! the fact that andria died was one of my happiest moment on the show , I hated her and she was written very badly .
Vulon Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 How has no one mentioned Breaking Bad?! Tsk tsk. It's pretty much the best ever. If you haven't watched it, watch it. Now.
formel Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 For me it is Spartacus and True Blood. Watched recently "Rome" (HBO 2005) which was also very well made and entertaining.
Veta Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 Yea spartacus sucks ( there was this dude with gel in his hair wtf ?) , and True blood is gay, it really is . The best shows now are Game of thrones and Breaking Bad .

You dare?! I wasn't joking. Supernatural is a good show, I'm sorry it doesn't live up to the lofty standards of something like Game of Thrones in your eyes, but that doesn't make it a bad show. It's entertaining and interesting, so unless you can back up your little jab then I have nothing more to say on the matter. Then again it's all about opinion, so it doesn't really matter. About The Walking Dead. I'm sorry if you are misinformed but it isn't about zombies. It's about PEOPLE during a zombie apocalypse. It's always been about the living and not the Zombies. I thought that was common knowledge. It didn't become a drama between people, it has always been a drama between people.
Veta Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 "Jab" lol dude . I have been watching supernatural for years now , after yellow eyes and when dean came back from hell, it has been too much fanservice and in general . dragons , fairy's ,phoenix's,angels ,gods , horsemen of the apocalypse , lucifer and that damn knife , demons are just a joke really . As for the walking dead , yes drama , but exciting one like Breaking bad, not just Andria fucking every character in the show .If I wanted that I'd watch a soap opera .
Symon Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 It comes in cycles over the decades. I've seen upswings and downswings. Never doubt the ability of TV executives to make poor decisions. A good example was just about the first Vampire series out of the block, Moonlight. Many thought it had it all. Good actors, interesting plots that always left questions, that were answered later. A unique take on vampires that I could believe in. The TV execs decided it ought to be 'CSI-Vampire' because CSI was big. The writers said no, and in part due to a writers strike, the plug was pulled...... Just in time for every one and his dog to be releasing vampire shows. Instead of first out of the block....just perfect timing.
Dude500X Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 Supernatural is cool, only seen the first 2 seasons though.
polluxval Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 only watching the walking shit. my book doesnt allow me to watch tv series as much as i would love to.
Jerbsinator Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Dexter - Love itBreaking Bad - The best show on TV, hands down. Justified -Haven't watched, heard it's really good Homeland - Also haven't watched. The Killing -revived from cancellation, HURRAY! Fantastic Season 1 and 2, go watch it if you haven't seen it! Season 3 coming soon! Hell on Wheels - Good show from what I have seen, which admittedly is not much. Californication - Watched season 1, it was good but I never watched any of it after that. Might catch up with it sometime.

dinomagick Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 I watch(ed): The Walking Dead.NCIS + NCIS Los Angeles.I liked Supernatural up until the last season or so...In the beginning it had alot of history about supernatural beings all over the world and the theory/tales that surrounded them.... Then it went all Demon/Angel fighting religious .... I also like various Anime, Dexter, Falling Skies and am really looking forward to Defiance. (Thinking about playing the Game too).
R0R0N0 Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Spartacus and Breaking Bad. I missed out on a lot of other good shows though like Dexter because I was living under a rock.
cereburn Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Maybe I missed it, did noone list Firefly re-runs? I also like Walking Dead and have been watching Arrow, but am still on the fence if I'm really into that show.
Guest 000 Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Game of Thrones S3, Vikings, The Borgias S3, Da Vinci's Demons
woodenstick Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Game of thrones might be the only show where I actually enjoy watching the opening: Gets me so pumped up for the episode Get so depressed when I finish one though, 1 week is a long time to wait Also someone just mentioned the best tv show ever to be made and unjustly cancelled by stupid #$%&ing douchebags at fox, if you hadn't figured it out yet, I'm talking about firefly. Luckily we got a movie which does it justice afterwards, but I still hate #$&%ing fox those %&^*ing dirtbags
