jimi20 Posted November 29, 2020 Posted November 29, 2020 If yes, then to what extent, and if no, then why not ? Thx!
gregathit Posted November 29, 2020 Posted November 29, 2020 No. Literally everything is different. Skeletons, code, meshes and so on.
myuhinny Posted November 29, 2020 Posted November 29, 2020 It would take some work if you wanted to port something to skyrim. Outfits would need to be converted to the skyrim pose then changed over to skyrim nifs redo texture paths and new skeleton/rigging added for it. Also keep in mind that anything you port from oblivion that is from the actual oblivion game can't be uploaded as it falls under beth's copyright rules. https://www.loverslab.com/topic/58624-how-to-port-oblivion-files-to-skyrim-using-outfit-studio/
KoolHndLuke Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 Meshes and textures can be done through BS. Should be tutorials to explain/show how. You will need to convert and rename the textures and put them in the correct path for SSE. Export/Import object for the meshes and resize and copy bone weights and sliders, manually set the texture path for each part of the mesh as needed. Good opportunity to customize things as you want. Some of the meshes can also be very low poly- looking much too blocky in the newer game, but you can fix this with OS functionality now. Other things you can fix with Nifskope I think.
TDA Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 some animation, too, is possible thanks to MikeCG rig, but needs to be adjusted. , but it's all ancient
