CTD after getting FNIS to run

alright so im no genius to mods or anything idk what load order even is i just miss the days where NMM would organize everything for you now im with vortex and i got all the mods i needed for some adult animations and such, and at first they werent working just stuck in the same place together while the "animation" played, now i got it to work after finding a video showing how to run fnis in vortex as well.

After that and testing the animations worked the game crashes whenever i enter a new area or try to save or fast travel, ive been unistalling mods left and right and even turned off Fnis (i have it installed just not running) thinking "well it sucks but i can play the game normally and then turn it on again later when i want to" ya know? yeah no turning it off doesnt remove the problem as well, its still there and its not just 1 corrupt save or anything ive made multiple saves on my file and it all crashes to desktop so ill be providing a few pictures im pasting in photoshop from my print screen button that lists all my mods and then the plugins i have on in order top to bottom, i cant google my way out of this one so i thought i should ask for help on forum even though im not really used to using forums, so if im accidentally breaking rules or something dont delete, please let me know, i also made a "help me" type of thread on nexusmod too but doing it here incase they dont handle it because i have adult mods or something and also some of these mods are from the bethesda modding community me disabling those really doesnt do anything for my problem with the crashes

it says i need microsoft c++ stuff for a requirement for that mod, im not comfortable with needing those types of offsites downloads since i know c++ is for programing code and such and i know nothing about it so i dont want to download it and run it only to screw up my computer or game even more, will just downloading the mod help or would i need to download the required c++ thing as well to make it work?

Do you have this?

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17230

If not, get it and start over again.

By the way, NMM is still available here:

https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Nexus-Mod-Manager/releases

and it is still being updated (by the community).

That's not a healthy attitude if you want your game and mods to work as intended. Requirements aren't optional, that's why these things are listed as requirements. Besides, the file you need to download and install is in the official Microsoft website, direct link and everything. Just go to that link, download the file (just in case, you want the "vc_redist.x64.exe" one) and follow the installer steps. Once you have it installed you don't need to do anything else, your computer won't explode and the mods relying in that software will be able to work.

Did you check the text FNIS gives you after you run it? that's the first place you should be looking. Errors, warnings, CTD% and so on. If you have too many animations your game will be unstable, you can avoid this by using the fix from Engine Fixes (the setting in question is "AnimationLoadSignedCrash=true") or by using Animation Limit Crash Fix (another mod).

ill download it i just tend to stay away from mods that require that kind of stuff because i know nothing about stuff that looks complicated so i tend to rather not even try to understand it rather then try it and it screws up more stuff, and no i didnt, i just installed everythin using vortex i never really did check to see if it had a read me or anything and i doubt i overloaded with the ammount of animations because i only got extra animations from the sexlab stuff i downloaded which had like 300 i think and everything was working smoothly until AFTER i was able to make the animations work by looking up a video on how to run Fnis, but anyway thanks ill take your word and install the c++ stuff

I know what you mean, there are plenty of technicalities that escape my understanding. But most things required to use most mods are a couple of clicks and ~5 min of reading away. If you ever feel overwhelmed by the things ahead take your time, check the info in front of you and go slowly. If you still have doubts just ask around.

Like I said above, checking the available info about the mods/tools you're using is key to address problems and fix them. In your case you would know if there are any errors/warnings or if you have too many animations. As you say you don't have many animations I'd start looking elsewhere. Now that I look at your screenshots I see Sexlab 163 beta 8 but there is also Sexlab Light SE and matchmaker Light. Those "light" mods shouldn't be there if you have the full framework installed. (side note: I also see you have Anim limit crash fix installed, didn't see it before, so amount of animations should not be your problem at all).

I don't know why using FNIS was the turning point for you, but there are things installed that shouldn't be there. Remove these light mods and see if any other mod should be removed (obsolete, out of date, incompatible mods, etc). And see if Vortex is giving you any warning/notifications about other things malfunctioning (I'm not familiar with Vortex so I have no idea where this would be, but most mod managers can detect and notify some common issues).

okay so i downloaded it, i ran it, the 64 one and it told me to restart my computer i did and now whenever i run skyrim se through vortex i get a popup before the game starts saying:

"no valid segment found! srtcrashfix64 patch cannot be applied. it may be due to incompatible runtime version or some other plugin already made changes to the patching segment." i have no idea what all that means and i still get the CTD after trying it in my game

Engine Fixes has a two parts install, you need to install both files (and according to the description part2 can't be installed with a mod manager, so you have to do it manually). So yeah, read and follow the instructions and if it still doesn't work check that you're using a compatible game/SKSE version.

Also, your CTD will likely continue even with Engine Fixes installed, your issue is likely a mod in there that you haven't removed properly (or the mod requires additional mods or settings to work).

i fixed it so i read i had to disable another crash fix mod to stop getting that popup and i also downloaded the skyUI mod as well and it turns out everything is good now, after a few tests no more ctd after loading in some new areas and i had to turn on some of the SL light mods you recommended me to turn off otherwise the animations wouldnt play and now i have both a running game and animations, thank you
