051Kurt Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 Hi all, I recently bought skyrim and wanted to try out some adult mods. I have a few problems I just can't seem to fix. First off here is my FNIS. I'll also attach my mod list and load order. When I installed it with MO2 the game crashed. I moved it up to #5 in the load order (right after the essential skyrim files) and tried to run it. Same thing happened, I would launch SKSE through MO2, it would say mod organizer is locked and then about 30 seconds later it would just disappear and the game wouldn't load. I decided to manually install it and it did end up working. However the game will only load if I don't have the USLEP plugin checked. It doesn't matter if I have it at the top of my load order or the bottom. This really isn't a big problem since I managed to get SkyFem to work. The one bug I've encountered is the whiterun guards still have the male body with a female voice, but once they strip they have a female body with some graphical bugs. I'm mentioning this because it may have something to do with my next problem. No matter what combination of mods and load orders I use I can't use Devious Devices. I've tried running it with just the required mods. Without DD the game works fine, but when I install DD the game crashes when I load a save. One post I saw said to use "COC whiterun" in the console and then load my save. Sadly this didn't work. My final problem is with my character model. The only way I can change my character's proportions is with the weight slider, even though I have multiple pages of body sliders. When I try to use one of the other sliders nothing changes on the character model. Using lazybodyedit I can change my proportions while wearing clothes, but as soon as I take off my clothes my model goes back to the default CBBE model. Thank you guys for the help Progress update: I've been sifting through all of the body mods I had installed and originally picked TBD but none of the custom clothing worked, it would either be invisible, make my body invisible, or look like default armor. I then switched to CBBE 3BBB. I managed to get all of the custom clothing to fit and continued to mod. At some point I must have overridden the settings I had in bodyslider because the clothing was invisible again. After spending a few hours trying to recreate the settings I've decided to remove all of the mods and start at square one. One of the biggest problems I had today was finding out how to get my mods on the batch build page. Do I drop the files of the mod I want to edit (IE sliderpreset and folders like that) to the respective folders in %\BodySlide and Outfit Studio - v5.2.0-49015-5-2-0-1601492988\00 BodySlide\CalienteTools\BodySlide? If yes where do the converted files go? I copied what I thought were my converted files to the original mod folders, but I got major screen corruption when trying to run skyrim. Once again thank you guys for the help ❤️ loadorder.txt modlist.txt
travelmedic Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 First off, don't use the Legendary Edition of the Unofficial Patch with Skyrim Special Edition. Get the Special Edition version of the Unofficial Patch. Same goes for SKSE64 vs SKSE for Legacy (Legendary) Edition. Same goes for virtually all mods.
travelmedic Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 Next, it looks like you're using multiple body mods - I saw both BHUNP and 3BBB on your load order, and your mod list shows a bunch of UNP and CBBE stuff. You can't run more than one body mod, so pick the one you like more and stick with that. Some of the outfits might work with the opposite body, but there's a chance you'll see visible neck and wrist seams if you do that. Having multiple body mods might explain why you're not seeing a change after using Bodyslide. Don't get discouraged, learning to mod properly does take some effort, and a lot of trial and error, but is worth when you're done.
gregathit Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 As was mentioned, you must use SE mods with the Skyrim Special Edition game. LE mods are for the Skyrim Legendary Edition version of the game. The mods can't be mixed between versions. It may be better to start over and make absolutely certain you are only installing SE mods. Also, follow the instructions listed above as well.
Whizkid Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 last but not least, try not to install everything at one go, take baby steps i.e. install test to make sure it works then install another mod, trying to install everything at once is a recipe for disaster. imo, install textures and visual/body mods first these are the easiest to fix, after that install main framework mods e.g. sexlab, arousal, nasty creatures etc.. my 2 cents.

I use CBBE-3BBB for my female player and BHUNP for converting older UNP-based LE >> SE followers, since making the bodies look "right" (ie as close to dupes of their UNP originals) is far easier in BHUNP that if swapping for a CBBE-3BBB body. The trick is to have BHUNP load before CBBE-3BBB You also have to use BHUNP outfits for the converted follower(s), but that's not a big deal. I have three followers (Hikari, Sha, and Elwyn) who have been converted from UNP source that way The biggest PITA is using bodyslide with BHUNP, since Bodyslide doesn't apply skin texture correctly to the BHUNP body, and adjusting sliders (for the body) is more difficult with the breasts specifically (nipple and under boob shadow is misplaced) the weird hip-stripe thing is more of a nuisance than anything. Meshes also need to be sent to a dummy folder when built for BHUNP so they can be manually transferred into the follower mesh folder, (and use only the original untouched textures provided with the UNP follower mod) and in cases where the follower comes with its own skeleton, that needs to be swapped for the XPMSSE skeleton as well. Having said all that, it's probably not something that someone should be doing if they're not even aware that you can't use LE mods with SE., and that mods should be added slowly with checks in between to ensure the game is still stable after adding new mods...

That is because of CBBE textures on a BHUNP body. Your Bodyslide is set up for the BHUNP body. YOU would get similar effects with CBBE vs vanilla or UUNP vs CBBE or vanilla. (I run LE) I have one mesh for my PC, one for all my followers, one for NPCs and one for Elders. The meshes are all UUNP just to make things simpler with armour and clothing but the principles are the same for mixing UUNP and CBBE.

Creating the meshes for the followers is using the BHUNP preset sliders, which are different than the CBBE-3BBB set and more accurately conform to their original (UNP-ish) designs. They also have the "extra" textures associated with my settings when I installed BHUNP. In game, they also react to BHUNP racemenu sliders, not CBBE-3BBB sliders. I run in SE (the version of skyrim for which this forum applies). I have one mesh for my player, another for Sha, another for Elwyn, another for Hikari, and several others (CBBE-3BBB) for several other followers. General NPC females use variants on my female player body. (I have both male player and female player game vectors) I respect your personal choices for your game, but I don't think you understand what my purpose was in adding BHUNP. BHUNP is handled using different slider sets in Bodyslide, and that's why I added it, so I could build more accurate pseudo-clones of the original body shapes for the noted UNP-based followers,. And yes, I'm well aware of how Bodyslide only uses CBBE(ish) textures for display in the utility. That's why it doesn't apply properly to BHUNP presets (or UNP presets either)

Using lazybodyedit I can change my proportions while wearing clothes, but as soon as I take off my clothes my model goes back to the default CBBE model. First, when you installed CBBE-3BBB, did you make sure to install all the bells and whistles, including the optional racemenu support? Second, when you first built your naked body in Bodyslide, did you make sure to use a 3BBB preset to go along with the CBBE-3BBB amazing body? Personally speaking, I've found that using a stock CBBE or UNP preset doesn't result in a proper 3bbb result.

This makes absolutely no difference to how Bodyside or Vortex deals with files. Your Vortex screenshot clearly shows CBBE overwriting BHUNP files therefore those BHUNP files will not show up in game. A simple experiment would bwe to reverse the rule in Vortex and have BHUUNP overwrite CBBE and see what happens in your game. 1 hour ago, anjenthedog said: And yes, I'm well aware of how Bodyslide only uses CBBE(ish) textures for display in the utility Bodyslide does no such thing. Bodyslide works with whichever body type (UUNP or CBBE) you chose during installation and it will use your default skin. See screenshots below. 1 hour ago, anjenthedog said: Creating the meshes for the followers That is because the followers are not using the default meshes, they are getting whatever meshes are in their individual folders or whatever folder you have their esps pointing to. What about NPCs? If they have the ghost nipples and hip texture thing then they have a mesh/texture body type mismatch. My PC's body My followers' body NPC's Elders None of them have any ghost nipples, hip tear or any other sort of problem in Bodyslide or in-game. Those bodies are all using Fair Skin (my default skin) in Bodyslide. In-game my PC, my followers, NPCs and Elders may all be using different textures from each other (I use about 6 in my game).
anjenthedog Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 If you say so. Odd that my game isn't playing by your rules. When BHUNP overwrote CBBE-3BBB (I installed BHUNP after CBBE-3BBB) things were screwed up for my player, and that's what alerted me to the need to swap load order. Interestingly enough, my BHUNP conversions all have the same color labia I chose when I installed BHUNP, which is different than the color I chose for my female player when I installed CBBE-3BBB. And as I said before, BODYSLIDE misrepresents the textures when a BHUNP preset is chosen, which simply makes it more difficult to duplicate a UNP follower mesh that has no existing bodyslide preset, (texture problem in bodyslide presumably since BHUNP is a child of UNP) but it's not impossible. As I said already, I only transferred the BHUNP designed meshes for those followers and applied them to/against the existing custom textures for those followers. They also respond to the hotkeys I assigned from the BHUNP MCM, whereas my player responds to the hotkeys I assigned from theCBBE-3BBB MCM Enjoy your game. I'm not going to continue this unnecessary flame war. edited for clarification

If you're talking about standalone, self contained followers who have their own meshes, then yes, you're absolutely right. However, I'm trying to keep things simple for a new modder, and what would be easiest for them to get started with. I'm sure eventually the OP will want to branch out and experiment more once they've mastered the basics. Better not to confuse the matter for them at this point.

In that case, as I noted in my original reply (in so many words) , it's probably not something a newbie should be fiddling with. I was more responding to the claim that you "can't", which perhaps should be stated "shouldn't" until you're a bit more expert than someone who installs LE mods without realizing the problem with that.
