Joshuam303 Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 Hi! I am downloading sexlab stuff and I have been running the FNIS generator after each download but after the last one it said " ERROR(2026): Too many animations 24 (..\..\meshes\actors\character\animations\testpack\FNIS_testpack_List.txt): + testpack_tp_A1_S7 testpack_tp_a1_s7.hkx" I read that downloading the FNIS behavior SE XXL could help but I downloaded version 7.6 and even though I enabled it both in mods and plugins (I am using vortex) it isn't working still
Ernest Lemmingway Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 Are you using the FNIS For Users executable from FNIS XXL?
Joshuam303 Posted October 7, 2020 Author Posted October 7, 2020 No xD I thought it'd be like install then bam works like patch mods I will look now thanks

Just Don't Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 That's the correct executable, just make sure Vortex is using that one. Where did you get ""...\meshes\actors\character\animations\testpack\FNIS_testpack_List.txt): + testpack_tp_A1_S7 testpack_tp_a1_s7.hkx""? This Test pack is not a part of FNIS (regular or XXL) and it's not a SLAL pack I've seen. So which mod is providing it? does it really work? what happens if you remove that mod prior to using FNIS?
walkingwounded Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 I use MO2 and I had to add both the FNIS and FNIS XXL mod packages at the same time to get it working properly with a large set of animations. I think the XXL mod was missing some core files or something so it threw errors when installed on its own. You would still use the XXL version of the executable, which I presume Vortex can be be configured to do. In effect I merged the XXL files over the base files, overwriting as needed. I tried Vortex shortly after release, it has some good features, but eventually I decided on MO2 once I took the time to understand how MO2 works. Note: this was from earlier in the year (2020Q1), so this may be obsolete info, but thought I'd share it in case it is 'normal' to have both FNIS packs installed. I think at one point it reported over 24,000 animations, but I was not being selective in what I was installing at the time. Worked fine as far as I could tell.

I have both (regular) FNIS and FNIS XXL installed. IDK if FNIS regular is a dependency for XXL (off hand) but it seems to be, at least with my installation. I do have the XXL version pointed to in vortex, so that's (XXL) what is running when it does it's thing in the background during mod installations.
Reefor Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 I need help. I'm a bit of a noob and don't understand this problem enough to fix it. I downloaded a few animations packs last night and installed them, now I'm getting this error message when running FNIS: ERROR(2026): Too many animations 112 (..\..\meshes\actors\character\animations\SexLabAP\FNIS_SexLabAP_List.txt): s AP_Standing_A2_S1 AP_Standing_A2_S1.hkx The number was higher but I went into the game and used the anim loader to deactivate all the anims I could (disable all, rebuild registry, reload Json, reapply Json). My animation count is now 93, lower than the 112 that FNIS is seeing. And of course it didn't fix the problem. I read something about a possible conflict if you have the same anim registered more than once. So I went into MO2 and found all the older versions and deleted them. So if there was a billy 4.3, billy 4.4, & billy 4.5 I deleted 4.3 & 4.4. I did this before rebuilding the registry but the list of animation mods on the left when you first open the loader didn't seem to get any shorter. I installed the FNIS XXL a while ago so I don't remember it well, but I think I merged it with FNIS. Both are in my downloads window plus the creature pack. I downloaded the zip file for XXL and opened it to see what's in & there are 2 executables in the FNIS for users folder, generatefnisforusers.exe & hkxcmd.exe. So I set up hkxcmd.exe as a tool and ran it from MO2 with no help. There was also a readme file in the zip which I read but I didn't understand most of it and it didn't seem to address this problem at all, at least as far as I could tell. I tried to reinstall FNIS XXL but it's telling me that " the content of <data> does not look valid" so I can't reinstall it. I'm really not sure what to do. Do I have to deactivate all the anim packs in MO2, uninstall the loader then reinstall it, then add the packs back 1 by 1? Or is there a better fix?
