RGB22111 Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Hi! I'm having issues getting some Sexlab animations to play properly. It seems nearly random what animations work and what ones do not, for example just in ZAZ the pillory sex anims work but the armbinder ones just have the characters involved just standing there, doing nothing while sounds play. This also applies to the default animations that come with Sexlab, I can't get them to work, sometimes one character performs the animation and the other just stands there (the best example of that is the built in dragon anims, the dragon does all the proper motions and my character just stands there.) I did run FNIS and it gave no errors. Same with Nemesis, no errors, still these animations randomly not working. Running my load order through LOOT did nothing as well (and caused instability unrelated to SL, so the order you're seeing was not run through LOOT). I'm also using Mod Organizer 2 as my Mod Manager, I don't know if that matters but I felt it worth noting. All non sex animations are working fine, ZAZ's non sex bound animations, Devious Devices' anims, Dodge anims from TK Dodge, etc so I know FNIS and Nemesis are at least mostly working. EDIT: I forgot to mention that I had the same issues with Nemesis disabled and just running FNIS (and with FNIS disabled and just using Nemesis.) The way my MO2 setup is arranged the outputs are redirected into a separate mod that I can enable and disable as I wish, so for testing I disabled everything FNIS related and tested the anims, and then disabled everything Nemesis related and tested again. No change. Additionally because the outputs from FNIS and Nemesis are seperate mods in MO2 I set the priorities of them so Nemesis's outputs overwrite FNIS's when applicable, so the edits FNIS makes to humans is mostly overwritten by Nemesis.
DankestMemester Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 i also have this issue but all characters t-pose unless i delete 0_master.hkx, otherwise all animations work except SL related animations, i have almost exactly the same animations and also use fnis & nem with similarly empty logs for both.

Worth checking as that's an experimental combination and far from being common.

Just Don't Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 There is no reason for FNIS alone not working. From your FNIS log there is only one warning (that you should totally fix by simply enabling the SKELETON Arm Fix and update FNIS behavior again). For extra checks you can enable the HKX file compatibility check before updating FNIS, that check will scan all the animations in the mods listed and warn you if there are any incompatible ones (which is a possible cause for T-poses). Not sure why you get these NOTE for identical animations in some SLAL packs, I have some of these and I'm not getting these messages. Weird, but it shouldn't affect the end result, otherwise it would be a Warning or ERROR line. No idea about Nemesis, so I won't comment on that.

It provides nearly effortless management of mod installation and installation, load orders, and even a few perks like "lightening those mods that can be made light (ie not tied to the main 255 limit load list) , links to the mods pages, notification of updates (unfortunately only for Nexus direct installations, but that's about 90% of my modlist), etc. if you're still having issues when only running under FNIS, then you probably have LE animations installed, or too many animation packs installed, you haven't registered your animations using SLAL, or you have some other conflict. That is, presuming SL/flower girls/etc and its/their underpinnings have been correctly installed in the first place.

For extra checks you can enable the HKX file compatibility check before updating FNIS, that check will scan all the animations in the mods listed and warn you if there are any incompatible ones (which is a possible cause for T-poses). Not sure why you get these NOTE for identical animations in some SLAL packs, I have some of these and I'm not getting these messages. Weird, but it shouldn't affect the end result, otherwise it would be a Warning or ERROR line. No idea about Nemesis, so I won't comment on that. As noted I have no idea why but when I enable the arm fix FNIS crashes while it builds the behaviors. Also, I'm not actually getting T posing, the characters just stand there (inside each other) playing their standard idle standing animations while the proper animations should be playing (interestingly their expressions still change, even though their bodies are just using the standard idle anims) I went ahead and ran FNIS with the compatibility check as you recommended and still got no errors, here's the log. It provides nearly effortless management of mod installation and installation, load orders, and even a few perks like "lightening those mods that can be made light (ie not tied to the main 255 limit load list) , links to the mods pages, notification of updates (unfortunately only for Nexus direct installations, but that's about 90% of my modlist), etc. if you're still having issues when only running under FNIS, then you probably have LE animations installed, or too many animation packs installed, you haven't registered your animations using SLAL, or you have some other conflict. That is, presuming SL/flower girls/etc and its/their underpinnings have been correctly installed in the first place. As far as I am aware I don't have any LE animations, I only have three LE mods, two of which I have I converted myself and neither of them effect animations (one adds accessible chests to merchants and the other allows for adjustable cell respawn times) and the other LE mod is Dibells's blessings, which does not add or change animations. Also FNIS does not give warnings relating to non-compatible packs. As for the install of SL (I don't use flower girls at all), I think it's all installed correctly, it does mostly work, just a select few animations don't. Here's my full modlist, including mods without ESPs or ESMs. For whatever reason Mod Organizer outputs it in reverse of how it outputs the loadorder, so the top item is the final thing loaded, rather than the first. First off I managed to get the SL default animations working, as it turns out the modpack I used completely deleted the default anims rather than just disabling them, so SL was looking for files that were not there and given nothing was there FNIS flashed no errors. One download of SL framework later and a quick install fixed the issues with the default animations not working (and took my anims in fnis from 8 thousand to 11 thousand, clearly quite a lot was deleted by that modpack.) Having seen that I decided to reinstall all anims that were added by default with the modpack in case some animations were partly removed from them as well. Thus far beyond a few of the ZAZ animations giving issues things are working well. Additionally I have decided to get rid of Nemesis, as it turns out to break some animations in SL Defeat (namely the stealth knock out animations.) Seemingly no issues thus far without it, we shall see. If any of you notice mods that require Nemesis let me know. Thanks for your help!

That's bad. I can't see a good reason for a mod pack to do that. Especially if you end with ~12k animations (it isn't that much, but even if the anim count is a concern for whoever made that pack just throw Animation Limit Crash Fix and problem solved). Good thing you could pinpoint the problem and fix it. Not sure if every user who relies on things like modpacks (was it a Wabbajack pack?) can handle that... but that's a rant for another thread.

It was a Wabbajack pack. Cupid more specifically. It's worth noting that large number of animations also includes mods like Devious Devices, Deviously Cursed Loot, SL Defeat, TDF Prostitution, Paradise Halls, and quite a few other mods than add animations that were not in the base modpack. I could be wrong about the deleting but a new download of SL framework did fix the issues so I assume that's what they did. If I recall before adding a ton of extra stuff (and sorting these missing animations) it was probably more around 8-10k anims total on the base pack.
