Crash to desktop when approaching the Falkreath gate

As the title would suggest I am having trouble with the city of Falkreath lately. It started a while ago, and I have tried every solution the internet has provided, so now I turn to the wonderful people of LoversLab. Mod order to follow, sorted with LOOT, and I use Vortex as my MO, because MO stopped functioning for me.

 Open Cities - Partially Incompatible. exterior elements have not been placed in the exterior world so they won't show up in the open cities mod.

First of all I suggest to use MO2 (which usable for SKYRIM LE and SE) then If you really want to find the mod that causes the ctd, install your mod that affect, followers and invironment one by one.. of course you can also first install all body and gameplay mods then your SLYRIM LE should work normally even when you go to Falkreath. but if you get a CTD then, you may need to go through those mods that affect animations of costum animations as well. 

 

Also did you try an previous safe, where it didn't happen? a corrupt safe can also cause a ctd at a certain point, even tho i may load normally. I had that once, since then I only safe inside a buidling/cave to reduce that risk.

Try to wait 3 days? Can be NPC with bad nifs. In your case i think its Lestat1627 and memory

Whenever I have had this issue about crashing near a city, it has always been an NPC overhaul. Last time I had this exact same thing was Ordinary Women. I too, would go back to using MO2, as I find it significantly superior to Vortex. I would check your NPC beautification mods. I've run into this issue 3 times around cities over my modding lifetime, and always it was something with one of those. I also see you use Open Cities, personally I wouldn't recommend that mod, unless you aren't going to modify any cities or City NPCs in any way.

So, people are not only giving advices with incorrect information in them but also telling users to install dangerous and pointless mods that don't even optimize anything. KEK!

Might aswell recommend users to install his other mod that comes with stack corruption right out of the box.

This says that you are either using the old outdated version of MNC or that you did not uninstall it correctly when you installed the correct version.

Chances are there is a creature there whose mesh is causing the problem.

 

The problem has nothing to do with NPC overhauls which thousands of people have been using for years without problems. The outdated version of MNC however is a known cause of CTDs like your and the OP's.

 

And for what it is worth, I don't use MO myself but you are the first person I have come across for who MO "stopped functioning".

Can be a skeleton issue if a follower or someone that is in the city requires a specific skeleton to be installed and it's not when you enter the cell of that person it'll cause your game to CTD. So reinstall any things containing skeletons like schlongs of skyrim and XPMSE.

If he was crashing all over the place then it might be an issue with those mods. The problems with the old version of MNC and SLNC is well documented.

If it's a follower mod nobody else uses.

It's not really a follower mod that nobody used but more of a where did you get the follower mod from. For me whenever my game crashed it was because of a follower mod I got from over seas as half of the time the info for the mod and it's requirements were written in gibberish when translated and I missed the type of skeleton needed for the follower but now I use HDT and no more problems.

I have about 100 followers in my game. I have several hundred more which have been in my game. I have never had your problem but the problem with the old versions of MNC is well documented.

How many follower mods do you see in the OP's LO?

For clarification, the only time I crash is when I am in the open area of Falkreath proper, weather it is approaching the front Gate from the North or exiting buildings into Falkreath itself, but I can COC into cells in Falkreath with out crashing, however it doesn't regester as me entering into the building for quests like Hearthfire. I tried the fix suggested by the wonderful Lestat1627 however upon exiting the deadman's drink I immediately got a CTD. Unfortunately same story with MNC I uninstalled the file and swaped it for the newest one, but it still CTD'd on loading into Falkreath.

The only follower mod I had installed was "Make Anyone a Follower"

That I did, but the culprit hath been found and Yote, it was the guard armor replacer mod, kinda sucks that I had to get rid of it, it made the rest of the guards look so cool... oh well. But updating MNC has drastically increased my performance. So seriously thank you for recommending it, and thank you everyone for the helpful advice you gave me and for taking time out of your days to help me.
