[Solved][Creationkit] How to create a friendly Draugr butler?

I would like to create a friendly Draugr NPC in the role of an undead buitler. Similar to "Lurch" from the Addams family.

Spoiler

Lurch_film.jpg

My first attempt used the Draugr race and it worked quite well. It moved around, was friendly, ... but didn't do anything else.

Unfortunately they seem to ignore the essential furnitures (e.g. cooking pot)  and idle markers (e.g. sweeping the floor with a broom) for a servant. I guess, it's because they are still registered creatures? :classic_huh:

Now, my next idea would be

A) to copy an existing race and switch the appearance to Draugr. Or

B) to create a completely new race, just with the shape of a Draugr.

Again, it's something I had never tried before.

Did anybody else built something similar or know of a guide, how I would do that?

I am not even sure if it would work at all :classic_unsure:

Ideas? Opinons? Comments?

they don't have animations for that.

you would need to make/have a human that looks like a Draugr (aka a Draugr that uses the human animations)

Eg, this:

The easiest thing looks to me like my idea A)

I clone e.g. the Nord race and would need to copy the whole Body Data tab from the Draugr race over to my own race.

Simple as that? Or do you know of any other caveats?

Thanks for the link, I'll peek into that one, too

Edit:Reminder for myself:

Will you be doing a Hagraven cook?

:classic_laugh: Not intended currently. But since the first time that I distracted and spell-pacified Draugrs in a dungeon (instead of just killing them) they reminded me of Lurch.

I'm just trying to make an old idea from 2012 come true.

Flame-grilled cabbage.

Note to myself: add more variety to food and drink, E.g. flame grilled cabbage. I like cabbage ? .. and we don't have an icon for that ?

I always knew it! Dragons are vegan :classic_laugh:

That whole eating-Farmers-alive-thing is just a cover story to keep the humans from sticking their noses out too much.

Update: Solved

Solution:

I didn't need to change that much at all

  1. copy DraugrRace to e.g. myDraugrRace
  2. remove ActorTypeCreature from the keywords
  3. add ActorTypeNPC to the keywords => some furnitures are limiting their access and other stuff that I had in mind requires that
  4. BodyData tab => Behaviour Graph
    1. male = >change to Actors\Character\DefaultMale.hkx
    2. female  => same for  DefaultFemale.hkx

One disadvantge is that they now loose their zombie walk, the advantage is that they get all the animations for the furniture.

Be prepare for the best dinner in your life :classic_laugh: ?
