To answer your question: I use BOSS, TES4Edit, TES4LodGen, LandMagic, BSAOpt, Ordenador and PyFFI.  I am very comfortable with manual installation of mods, and I prefer to install mods manually so that I can have full control over them.  I have never wanted to install a mod that only had an OMOD version, until now.

But how do you sort your load order ???? What do you use to move a Mod up or down in load order. BOSS does not Know all Mods ( only the 26000 in the BOSS masterlist), all the Mods BOSS does not know will be placed at the end of your load order and you must sort the Mods manually.

Except of BOSS all the tools you mentions does not change or affect your load order.

-----------

OBMM and TESMM can extract OMods, create OMods, unpack/pack bsa files, set archive invalidate , Reset BSA Timestamps.

If you use Wrye Bash, it can also extract OMODs. In Wrye Bash, its called Project. Drag an OMOD into the Installers section, then right click on it or so, to do it. Its been a long time since I had to. For quite awhile, the feature was broken, but is now fixed in newer versions.. You may need to update it.

The BOSS program can create user made rules for placing unrecognized mods where desired.

It is possible to sort unrecognized mods in BOSS, with "user rules".  I use that for the four mods BOSS does not recognize.

And thanks for the tip on Wrye Bash!  I did not know it could extract OMODs.  I'll do that.

Well all the pieces are registering except the torso pieces just show the vanilla pieces for some of the armors, but I went through all the options when installing and picked out from the selected previews, looking at it in the edit option there is files called replacer, steel, dwarven and blackwood, which is some of the armors im having problems with , when I try to activate it in the data files on the menu it says this is not a valid oblivon plugin or master file

could be a fault on install script part. What armor and what file name? You need to check if their name has _ba# suffix correctly.

So I think the issue is the overwrite previews have a replacer file but while I can activate it in OMM, it wont let me in oblivion data files it should just be steel, dwarven and the blackwood cuirass thats the issue, Ill see if theres a way I can merge them in another file.

Okay so im launching it from steam and the replacer files that I need active are saying not a working plugin or master file which they're not but I dont know how I could just merge it into the main mod file, any ideas? Thanks

not a valid plug in? it cannot be!

Well but if that IS the case, merging will not help. No point merging invalid stuff. They are supposed to be usable individually. Normally you can merge stuff using wrye bash, tes4edit, tes4gecko or CS itself (the easiest being wrye bash)

I'll check them when I'm home to see if your download was borked somehow.

I checked them, and they look ok to me. Tes4Edit loads them just fine and Wrye Bash doesn't warn me of anything.

I'll show you their checksums, compare it with yours. If ANY of them differ, your download got borked.

To calculate sha256 checksum you can either:

Use 7-zip: There is  CRC SHA... menu item in you r-click context menu and choose sha-256. If not, you can configure your 7-zip to make it appear.

OR

Use PowerShell: If you're using Windows 10. Windows 7 and 8 do not have this library by default. Open up the terminal by shift-cliking an empty space in Windows Explorer, or hotkey Win + X then I, cd to your working directory. You can use the Get-FileHash cmdlet, like:

get-filehash "<path-to-file>" -alg sha256

So for example do this:

ls "<your-oblivion-data-folder>" -file | where -prop name -like "replacer - *.esp" | get-filehash -alg sha256 | format-list

# example output

PS F:\_sandbox\New folder\Vanilla BreakArmor> ls -file | where -prop name -like
"replacer - *.esp" | get-filehash -alg sha256 | format-list

Also do note that if you use Break Armor, you should not use the "Vanilla BreakUndies.esp" as it is for the old "BreakUndies.esm" which is outdated and should not be used  anymore in favor of "BreakArmor.esp".

Hi, I have several questions about this mod:

1. If the armor breaks, can it be repaired like in the vanilla game?

2. Is it compatible with other mods like "EVE HGEC Eyecandy Variants Expansion" and "HGEC more revealing standard armor" with their BBB?

3. Apart from this mod, are there mods like the previous ones but for H cup?

Link to comment

1. Yes you can repair.

2. No it add new/own vanilla armor replacers. If you install two armor replacers the last installed will overwrite the previous.

3. No. Only a few break H cup armors exists, no full break vanilla replacer.

You need the base Mod "Break Armor"   . Then you can install any break Mods.

Most break Mods use 4 armor meshes. First completely intact  and then 3 damaged versions.  Some mods are really simple, just removed some armor parts. Others show the damage: dented, holes, cracks. Apart from that "Optical presentation of the damage" the mod does nothing. In your inventory you see how much damage the armor has and can repair it.

Another vanilla break armor Mod I don't know. There are other break Mods, most with not only one amor, a big one with not only one breast size (A collection of break Mods)

---------------------------------------------------------------------

The Break Armor frame work is "only a esp with a script" to change the armor.

You can make any armor a break armor.

You need some break meshes.

If you have a cuirass in data\meshes\armor\Fur

The base cuirass is Cuirass.nif

You create some copies and remove parts of the armor with NifScope or retexture it (add dirt and blood )

Then you rename the copies but not the original nif, then you have in Fur folder.

cuirass.nif

cuirass_ba1.nif  ; first scratches

cuirass_ba2.nif  ; some damage

cuirass_ba3.nif  : max damage (you can add more stages, I know a break armor with 8 stages, or base nif + 7 stages )

That is all, the break armor ESP takes care of switching the armor. That's why break armor Mods does not have esp, only meshes and textures folder. (or only meshes folder if it is a vanilla armor replacer )

EDIT: You can use the BU armor Mod and rename the meshes and do not install the esp.

https://www.loverslab.com/topic/8661-bu-armors-compilation/

or this ( not sure if any of the Links still work , and most of it is in the  above Mod

https://www.loverslab.com/topic/85-outdated-bu-dungeon-10/

And maybe at nexus are some (not deleted) break Mods.
