Alright guys, I know I'm doing something wrong here, lol. SOR4Explorer.exe won't open. Plain and simple. I double click, right click and hit "run as administrator", same thing. Just doesn't load up. Any tips?

Make sure your game isn't installed in Program Files (x86) directory as that is a protected system directory. Also check your windows updates as .Net Core is needed and you may need to install/reinstall it

That's the thing. Used to work until today. SOR4 has been installed in Program Files (x86) since day one, and I haven't had a problem with it thus far. I have the game on Steam, so it goes there automatically. Still, haven't had that problem.

Gotcha. As a general rule for modding games, I install Steam, GoG, Whatever in C:\Games or something as I have run into issues modding other games that were installed in x86. I would then check your .Net installation. Other than that I am out of advice as those 2 things worked for me.

Not entirely sure where to find that. What exactly is it?

Also, the game works just fine, just as a side note. It even still has the mods I applied to it previously. Just the Explorer file won't start up.

Okay, got it fixed, lol. Dumbest solution ever. Just had to rename it to anything other than "SOR4Explorer.exe". So silly.

Small contribution here. Just finished a nude version of SOR2 Blaze for Streets of Rage 4. I imagine y'all know how to install it, so have at it! Credit to Herick Fernandes for creating the original sprites. I just made them usable for SOR4. I also made her breasts a bit bigger. Only a couple of the sprites were a bit of trouble, seeing as I had to make her air kick about half from scratch. It surprised me when I noticed that the sprite was almost completely different from the original, aside from her face and hair. Worked out, though.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the mod!

This mod would be nice if someone could do it with fewer pixels, with a better quality.

Well, it's just as pixelated as the original, lol.

Ughh... "New Moves" is troublesome. That's gonna break all our nudie mods. I hope the good NON PAYWALL modders come through for us with these new characters and new move sets :-|

Sorry, I thought you'd be more excited about the fact that the creators are giving us more content, lol.

Also, if modders want payment for their contributions and creations, they have that right. Sorry you dislike that.

I am definitely happy about new content especially if it is free (or reasonably priced) but I was just bemoaning the fact that I would have to decide between my perfectly curated mod list and new DLC. I will try to be more detailed in future responses.

As for paid mods, yeah those modders do have the right to negatively impact the modding community (imo) that has survived and thrived for so long in a "forever free" format, all in the name of making a few bucks and in-turn creating a black market which sows even more toxicity in the community. But as I believe the case to be irl, let people do what they will, the masses will decided what is right or valuable with their wallets!

They also have a right to make this type of thing a career. Quit whining about paywalls. One of the VERY first things you learn when you get started on using mods is "Be prepared to spend a bit of money". The thing you want in your game is unlikely to exist, so if you want someone to make it, you'd better be willing to pay for it.

The message you convey is that you're kind of ungrateful and prejudiced toward people who charge for mods. But you know, for some, it's a career. It's literally how they make enough money to survive. If you want all that content to be free, that's pretty much wishing they didn't have their current job. I appreciate free stuff just as much as anyone else, but if someone's charging me for a mod that I really want, I'm willing to pay for it, even if you're not.

First off, you could not be more wrong about my gratitude. I am immensely grateful to modders and the modding community as they/it has not only provided me with countless hours of entertainment but also with the most beautiful pixels ever put together into a sprite/background/outfit/etc. Ever since I downloaded my first Doom2 WAD files circa 1995 I have  loved, respected, and even DONATED to modders like HydrogensaysHDT (who created physics in skyrim), Ousnius and Caliente (who gave us beautiful bodies and a framework for the whole community to use in order to create outfits in Fallout and Skyrim), DeserterX (who has made some of the most beautiful outfits with an attention to detail that is unparalleled), Elianora (who has contributed countless outfits, player homes, and other knick knacks to Skyrim and Fallout) as well as many others including those that posted their SOR4 mods on this thread. All of these people and others like them have enriched the gaming lives of millions over several years and hundreds of titles and they have (mostly) done so out of sincere passion for the game and its community and not for personal monetary gain. Now I (like many others) may not have the artistic talent to give Blaze a boob job but I have helped with mod translations, beta testing, thread management, voiceover, and conversions/ports and therefore am familiar with the hard work that goes into this and again, this is why I respect and show my gratitude to this community by contributing in any way I can. TL;DR "One of the VERY first things you learn when you get started on using mods is "Be prepared to spend a bit of money". The thing you want in your game is unlikely to exist, so if you want someone to make it, you'd better be willing to pay for it." might be your reality but is unequivocally false over the course of decades in this community

As for my prejudice, you are correct on that observation. Being as passionate about this community as I am and have been for decades, I am afraid and therefore prejudiced toward anything/anyone that would threaten the community. Never mind the fact that paywalls create more piracy, but if they were to become more normal, one fear is that the game companies could eventually start to take issue with the fact that modders are making money off of their intellectual property and therefore would move to eliminate modding in some way. This is all part of the reasoning behind LoversLab not allowing paywall links and downloads on its boards and also why so many modders provided their work for free. While I bear no ill will towards someone trying to make a buck in these hard times, I will continue to stand on my soapbox to help keep the original spirit of this community alive and dissuade people from normalizing paywalls. That all said, I have and will donate money, points, wishlisted games and amazon items to modders when budget allows and will even partake in a Patreon "early access" mod but I will never stop "Whining" about paywalls.

Sorry for this screed but I am quite passionate about this particular subject. This is all I will say and give you the floor for final word on the matter. Much love to this community...even you! :-)

Fact is, mods will probably end up mostly being behind paywalls in the future, so there's not much you can do about it. You can rant about free mods all you want, but be kind and supportive if someone choose to charge for their creation, alright?

Also, you can turn a passion into a career. Yeah, it may get old, but it really depends on how you go about it. Not everyone can, but if you do it right, you really can make that passion your career without turning it into a grind.
