I added everything at once, already tried disabling all AAF mods with resulting in no difference.

Well...for future - never, like never add ton with mods without testing them :) Especially AAF...1-2 mods - check! Now I can only suggest disable all mods and add them back slowly - then you can mod which causes crash...Or disable at least half...

And as izzyknows said about F4SE - it must be exported manually in your F4 Steam folder and added as executable on mod manager.

I launch F4SE trough mod organizer, also the F4SE loader is in my fallout4 folder and works just fine without any actual mods loaded.

And yeah i guess its a bit careless to add them all at once. Kinda new to the whole modding thing and saw this modpack was getting updates so didnt expect to have to troubleshoot anything.

307 plugins in total so kinda gonna take while ...xD

my guess is you have a mod that is a different version of the game.   If you are pre NG it is pretty easy to download the latest version of a mod and then realize its for the NG while the version you need is usually further down the list.   I have done this before and the symptoms are what happens.   If this is the case they have mods that while change the effected files to work with pre NG or download the correct version if there is one.

No wabbajack, manually downloaded all links in this guide. Nexusmods directly went into modmanager. Others i had to manually install and add into modmanager

Hello, i recently installed all the mods in this manual via mod manager.

Now i have the problem when i run F4SE trough mod manager, the game crashes after a few seconds.

I have looked all over the internet for the past few days with no luck.

Buffout crash  report: https://pastebin.com/E5EhqbA0

I'm at the point where im gonna give up modding as a whole.  Had this problem with mod manager and vortex. Stuff takes hours to install so its really demotivating...

Found the solution and my game is working !

2 mods that caused crashes: Devious devices & Slavers

Not sure if these mods are just outdated or incompatible in combination with others.

Really hard to figure out since i downloaded every mod from this list.

Anyways thanks for the replies.

Check the load order of your plugins. You can use autosort, but some mods should be top/bottom. And if you want to add more, check compatibility and mod versions/requirements as well. Good luck!

Go to your high fps physics fix folder ini and find the ocbp physics and write “false” instead of “true”

it’ll fix your ocbp crash bug. Ocbp works fine and I’m in next gen

I have followed the instructions as closely as possible twice now but these instructions are so poorly written I can't get it working properly. These instructions need to be rewritten, not just updated because now it's just a clusterfuck to read. Here's what I did: installed pre-basic req, installed basic req 1-7 exactly as said, for bodies I installed bodytalk for male and CBBE for female, I then installed AAF and VKC theme but again the instructions are so poorly communicated am I supposed to scroll down to the AAF installation instructions that for some reason are all the way below the final step (28)? At this point, I just installed AAF and VKC like it says to and then moved on to animation packs (installing 12 through 27) and then moved on to installing the ultimate AAF patch at the end. Ok now what about all the extra stuff at the bottom that I want to install as well? Very little instruction there, am I supposed to install all of this extra stuff before the ultimate AAF patch or after? Where does it go in the load order? I don't think the snarky comments at the end about being able to read are particularly fair when your own ability to communicate instructions are lacking.

The pictures and diagrams seem to be out of date too.

I agree xxhashixx, it is a bit of trial and error. Something I found to be very helpful, is to first install all the requirements + CBBE, AAF, VKC theme and all animations, and then to simply launch Fall Out 4 to make sure everything is working correctly (especially AAF and F4SE), before installing any of the other mods. If F4SE isn't being detected correctly, none of the other stuff will work either, since so many mods rely on it. This barebones launch allows the AAF core to initiate without the burden of other mods on top of it, trying to use it.

Before the big update, I finally had it all working. But this week I tried to reinstall it all with the latest version of Fall Out 4, with mixed success. Erections aren't working (I may need to try a full reinstall to get that to work), strapons aren't working, and neither are Tats after Rape. I don't think Plugs of the Commonwealth are working either (I have yet to see one get equipped by Devious Devices). I've also noticed that the Pipboy doesn't always get reequiped after an AAF scene, leaving you unable to access your inventory.  This can be fixed by typing "player.equipitem 00021b3b" in the console, but having to do that every single time the Pipboy fails to reequip, gets tiresome fast. Also, I have never been able to get Animated Fannies to work, without it messing up the face of my character. Maybe something to do with load order?

But on the positive side, the latest AAF version finally allows characters to animate without a fade to black. The transition to AAF scene is so much smoother now. So that's a big plus.

How many years now?  I'm no genius , and a bit obtuse, but your instructions are so literal and accurate, I have never had any problem following , AAF always works. What an amazing bunch of talent working together to make something truly amazing, thank you. From what I have seen , nothing even comes close to your work in Fallout, not even SR. and it just keeps getting better.

For the record, I had problems until I switched to Mod Organizer 2.  Since then, everything is clear, I can categorize everything, alter load order, fixed everything. Yes there is a learning curve, but once you understand what its creators intended, it simplifies everything and puts it completely in your control. Learn it, never deal with that crap again. I have layman tutorials that I cannot post here if you care to hear some user tips pm me for the link.  My game always works, and is VAST, using this "Fucking Manual" , and most the newest anims not mentioned here.  Because I took the time to learn "mod organizer 2"

After hours of trying to fix erections in BodyTalk, found that LooksMenu version 1.7.0.1 (listed in the manual) does not fit, with version 1.6.18 everything works

Posted (edited)

i have a problem with the player and npcs having a bent erection. I tried adjusting it with universal shlong editor but none of the commands work

plus, it seems if I unequip my armor which is modded NCR ranger armor the erection would be normal but why would it cause an issue if during AAF animations cloths are unequipped

I have Looks Menu version 1.7.0.1 and the latest version of the game, and erections for humans work fine, provided I build the Bodytalk files in Bodyslide with the erection slider set to 100%.

However, Super Mutant erections do not work, and none of the feral ghouls have genitalia. Did I forget to install a file perhaps?

that's wrong

Make sure to build Male Body (If you have BodyTalk, ignore Atomic Muscle for this step) with Erection slider at 0% and the 'morphs' box checked, in Bodyslide.

Try set to 0% and install LooksMenu 1.6.18
