I registered for a Moddingham account yesterday afternoon.  About 2 hours later I sent a contact e=mail to an Administrator stating that I had created an account and was still waiting for the e-mail that would allow me to authenticate my e-mail and account, and be able to download AAF.  I put in the message that I may have typed my e-mail address incorrectly.

I am still waiting for that e-mail (any e-mail).

Hi,

If you think you created the account with a mistyped email address, have you tried again to create an account using the correct address?

Yes, and when I try to create the account the second time, I'm told that my user name is already in use.

My suggestion would be to create another account with a different username then, perhaps append a character to it.  That way you could at least proceed with downloading AAF.

What does it mean when i try to put them in mod manager and it says the contents of <data> does not look valid

What's "them" in this context? You're going to have to be a lot more specific with your questions.

Also, like the manual says, ask for assistance in the help channels of the AAF Discord if you want a better chance of timely and useful answers.

Them = the Mods ?

I think that he means when installing with Mo2 maybe ?

When you must click to change the directory to make it valid in the MO2 installation

Sure, but which mods specifically? All of them? Or is this person trying to drag F4SE and Buffout 4 into a mod manager?

Can anyone tell me how to sort these components in vortex, I'm sure I have all the components installed but they still don't work, I think it's most likely a sorting issue, vortex's sorting mechanism makes everything difficult

Hopefully someone who uses MO2 has some idea as to what the mistake you're making is. When I drag the 7z file for AAF into Vortex it installs just fine for me though. I haven't used BodyTalk for a while, though since it uses one of those bulk downloader sites you may need to make sure that you're downloading the file directly and not ending up with a compressed archive of a compressed archive.

Are you talking about plugin sorting or file overwrite order? There are several ways you can reorder plugins, consult the Knowledge Base tab in Vortex and pull up the Managing Your Load Order article there. If you're trying to under stand file conflict resolution, then you want the Managing File Conflicts article there instead.

To install a mod in Mod Organizer 2 from a downloaded archive file (for example a mod you download from LoversLab):

1. click File > Install Mod...
image.png.c70be9c384c351785480752cfeed83bf.png

2. In the resulting window, select the mod you downloaded (This is normally in your "Downloads" folder) and then click Open

3. Be sure to click the drop down for the mod name to give it the *full name* of the mod, so you know what you installed when you look at your mod manager later.

4. This is just what it looks like if the mod doesn't have an installer package:

image.png.8e946445501eb2f60b4bdd2142edd1dc.png    <<<  Click OK once you've got the name entered the way you want it.

If the mod has what is referred to as a "FOMOD" installer, that is, it has many options, then you have to read very carefully and select the correct options for your setup

5. Once you have completed the installer, make sure to enable the mod!

Example

image.png.4e0ff429ab631c80388c26467cc8c7ad.png

^^ Checking that box, also automatically enables all the plugins for that mod.

That's the basics.  Be sure to check out Gopher and Gamerpoets on youtube, watch some tutorial videos, and you'll save yourself some headaches in the future.

Also, I watched your interaction on the discord, and you received a response from a moderator but then you never followed up.  Be sure to use the AAF_help_NSFW channel next time, and read rule 14 in the #rules section.  That explains how to start getting help :)

*Note: Do not click the Manual button.  The Manual button is a lie.*

The instructions have two links to Body Talk but only one of them appears to work properly.

Link 1 downloads TBOS-BT3-0322 and if I use that the penis is distorted.

Link 2 downloads BodyTalk3.15 and it if I use this one everything appears to work properly.

I'm not sure if the 3.22 version perhaps requires another file to work properly.

I've not been using BodyTalk lately, but I expect the most recent version requires ZBG (like the most recent version of FG does).

When you are building the bodies in Bodyslide, you have to set the "Erection" slider to zero before you build the body. That's been just about any version of Bodytalk I've used

I'll give that a shot.  I did not have to do that with the 3.15 version. Maybe that one has it pre-set correctly.

There have been a couple of presets that already have the erection set to zero (or maybe I just set them to that myself?). Either way, that's what solved the issue for me. Hopefully, you get the same outcome. Also, it's noted in the manual as well, any "Looks Menu" version above 1.6.18 breaks erections. Perhaps that is part of the issue as well?

You pretty much have it right.  The erection slider starts at 0% by default.  It's actually not necessary to build the male body unless you want a specific preset to be used as there's a malebody.nif file already built with both BT and Atomic Muscle.  Where people get into trouble usually is by building the body and changing the erection slider to 100 because they are using 1.6.20 and not getting erections.

So to recap:  LM 1.6.18, if you want a specific preset then build it with 0% erection sliders + Check the Build Morphs Checkbox and then press build.

I've been using 1.6.18 because the later one caused other issues beyond just AAF stuff.  I went in and checked the 3.22 BT and it defaulted to 100% so I built it at 0% and things appear to be working properly.

anyone having problems with uap staging and the edge meter only working on leito and bp70 animations? cant get the meter or the uap staging to work on the other animations besides those two.

The edge feature isn't fully implemented right now, I don't know of anything currently taking advantage of it.

Just dropping in to say thanks for this, it's a wonderfully helpful guide! ?

E: One question, though...

Quote
  • Load Accelerator [Its main use-case is build into Buffout, so those two conflict on a low (what is bad) level. Both handle VSync by default to accelerate load times.]

Is this disabled by default? LA seems to have a very noticeable effect, whereas I've not really seen such with Buffout.

Hi,

It is more important to use buffout, and not try and use Load Accelerator at all with a NSFW loadout as Buffout prevents some common crashes and can give you a great insight if you do have a CTD in the future.  Instead of LA, try High FPS Physics Fix as it also has a loading time reduction built in.  https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/44798

I've seen that mod, can't remember why I didn't add it to my LO... But I do use Buffout with Load Accelerator together, and haven't experienced any issues between the two?
