deviant51 Posted October 15, 2025 Posted October 15, 2025 I got this weird bug where offten deals don't register correctly. example: make 1 deal (slut deal). registers correctly, current deals 1. make another deal. collar deal. immediately get punished for not wearing collar, don't recieve collar and current deals still show 1. but it is listed under bear deal. when I buy out of deals I only have to buy out of 1 before I can dismiss the follower. it seems to have happened randomly. I tested on my other playthroughs and those are now also broken.
deviant51 Posted October 16, 2025 Posted October 16, 2025 (edited) I discovered the problem. it took a while since it are 2 mods that cause the problem. it is devious lore SE-AE 3.0.2 (this really sucks since I really love this mod) AND AI Overhaul AE 1.8.7 they should probably be added to incompatable. to clarify the problem I added a screenshot. retrotie Posted November 8, 2025 Posted November 8, 2025 I believe you can force a collar in the debug menu or... use an add item mod.
sen4mi Posted December 3, 2025 Posted December 3, 2025 (edited) Devious Follower - updated ESPs for v1.6.1170 V2.14.6 contains several esps (DF SLACS Patch.esp, DevFollowerVoiceMore.esp, DeviousFollowers - AI Overhaul - Patch.esp) which depend on an AI Overhaul.esp However, there's nothing in the requirements documentation for this mod which says which AI Overhaul.esp that is. Does anyone know where to find the right dependency? (deviant51's post, above, suggests that it's probably not one of the versions contained in AI Overhaul AE 1.8.7, though maybe it's one of the other versions.) Edited December 3, 2025 by sen4mi

Those are just patches, if you don't have the mods they're patching for you don't need them

I did decide I was not going to use SLACS, so I should have recognized that. That said, it's frustrating that these are undocumented. 1
riko3 Posted December 9, 2025 Posted December 9, 2025 This mod is insanely good. Holy moly, The mod feels like you're (Witcher 3) Gaunter O'Dimm or (Shrek Forever After) Rumpelstiltskin's sex prey. I'm curious and asking veterans: when comparing Devious Followers to Submissive Lola, how would you rate them, and how would they differ in type, should both be run? I have only 3-3.5 hours in Devious Followers.
riko3 Posted December 9, 2025 Posted December 9, 2025 Question 2: spoiler warning ↓ Spoiler Does the potion make you randomly teleport from destination to destination?
Kat8086 Posted December 14, 2025 Posted December 14, 2025 So I took the potion, I no longer have any deals and am still in gold control. What happens next? I have a quest in the journal but nothing else seems to be happening

I have only 3-3.5 hours in Devious Followers. They are very different in tone. Both can be run together, but it's not recommended to have both a devious follower and a submissive lola master/mistress at the same time. Devious followers has an option to transfer you to Lola after certain conditions are met though 1

Izrafiel Posted January 21 Posted January 21 So does this mod show up in the pause menu, like the original did? I'm not seeing it there when starting a new game.
Ikaros Posted February 16 Posted February 16 (edited) Great mod! I have two questions about the piercing deal levels : 1) I've had one instance of the follower changing my character's piercings for "slave piercings". I have not managed to get that outcome on another character. I'm trying different amount of deals, willpower etc. What are the conditions for the follower switching the piercings? 2) I've reached level 3 for the piercing deal, which means the player character must "show the piercings" to NPCs when talking to them. I thought this meant only removing the chest slot (#32), but apparently not. I've had debt added randomly when wearing shoes, amulet, etc. It seems really random. What are the armor slots allowed in piercing deal level 3? EDIT : both solved. 1) the switch happens at stage 3 after talking to an NPC with piercings hidden according to the mod (see point 2), the follower will attempt to speak to you about checking the piercings. Something was bugging out in my save, but after restarting Skyrim the follower successfully engaged the player character and the switch happened. 2) Which armor slots are considered verboten by stage 3 is real finicky. Some gear on slot 48 are acceptable, others not, for instance. For those using oBody, any gear activating the breast pushup will make the follower punish you. Also, all gear added by Circle of Lust for some reason. Really expensive trial and error. Edited February 17 by Ikaros
Balmung889 Posted February 24 Posted February 24 How do you make a follower not devious? I swear, I read it, but I can't find the explanation, and my poor English doesn't help.

Get close enough to the npc (they don't have to be a follower yet) so they are in front of you and you can interact with them. This 'selects' the npc. Open the Dev. Follower MCM and click on the General tab, it's the 2nd tab down. Look for 'Modify if follower is Devious'. The npc's name will be here with one of three options available: enable/disable/can't follow (I'm paraphrasing). If the npc is a valid DF, you should see the 'disable' option. This is the section with no npc targeted, put it here for reference. If there are a lot of npc's you wish to disable, you can choose to disable all npc's by going to the Debug menu and clicking that option. Exit the MCM while the script processes and wait for a notification in the upper left corner. Then when you meet somebody you want to be a DF now or in the future, go back to the MCM General tab and enable them as a follower. 1

However, I ran into a problem. After completing the mission, I wanted to separate from my companion. The command didn't work. She replied, "If you need me, you know where to find me," but continued following me. How do I solve it?
riko3 Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Has anyone had the issue of: They disable the arm and Leg Cuffs in the MCM. But somehow the Devious Follower keeps giving those bondages via dialogue even though they've been disabled in the MCM. Currently this is the only bondage problem I'm having every other type has been working correctly til now.

The disabling feature is only for the Modular Deals, Classic Deals aren't altered. Works as designed. 1

I've Skooma drinking enabled but for some reason I can't ever get the random roll for it to be my "deal".

I sort of figured it out: Basically, there is a Rule 1, Rule 2, and Rule 3 for different categories. You try to obtain Rule 1 and Rule 2. You technically have to roll all the deals, see the whole layout for yourself, and then adjust your separate Modular Disables to obtain the deals you want. If you want Rule 3 of Slaughterfish you "have to get" Rule 1 and Rule 2 of Slaughterfish first. At least this is how it seems.

Hi, this reply might be a bit late, but I just read your post now. When I last played DF about a year ago, I always had the exact same problem trying to dismiss the follower from my services, even though he was never a DF follower. My solution was to go to the Debug menu in DF’s MCM and select the “Dismiss Follower” option. That always let me dismiss the follower. (I don’t remember now if you also have to dismiss them via vanilla—it’s been too long—but make a save and try messing around with it a bit; it should work.) Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
