Help: skin texture turns glossy issue

I had the exact same issue and my file showed nothing between quotes like this:

 

"data" : "",

 

when it should have been like this and problem was fixed:

 

"data" : "textures\\actors\\character\\female\\femalebody_1_s.dds",

 

I then went to racemenu and reapplied the preset and it never came back.

If you had read this thread more carefully you would know that that's not the proper fix. The proper fix is to remove invalid data entries instead of applying overrides that essentially do nothing or in worst cases break something else like unique player -type mods.

Which is only true as long as you've removed (or never had) the mod that put the invalid override there in the first place.
