Thoughts on new Loverslab layout

Gif avatars don't play ( mine at least ) I don't  mind at all ,just wanted to point it out (it still works on the profile page though)in case no one else had said it .

 

Gif avatars might not play in IPB, I don't know. Have you tried re uploading your avatar? See if maybe changing it makes the gif play?

I re uploaded it , didn't fix it ; but like I said I don't mind.

There is a search on the top right of the page, if you want to search threads specifically just Ctrl + F and you should write there what you want ( this is a browser feature so it wont work on entire threads ).

Yeah I was meaning for entire threads.  Some of these threads have a lot of pages and I'd like to be able to find something specifically from awhile back.

Yeah seems the IRC is gone. Though prior to the new layout it seemed to be empty or just a couple lurkers when I would pop in.

I actually also like the new layoyut, If I had only one issue is, I am kind of still hating that no matter what LoversLab has these pervy adds on the site. Now I do not mind it so much but I have a quarrel with it when I am in public checking out lovers lovely lab on my phone and people (being nosey) over look my phone and see that annoying bar with the girls spreading their (well you know the bad, look up).... Yeah that one, when people see that they look at me like I am a sick sick pervert, which is not untrue but you know, It's like wearing a sign saying "HELLO EVERYONE, I R A SICK SICK PERVERT" and it can bring moments of shame. If anyone has pull I would love to petition to have it removed.  Unless it's one of those Premium member things, which in that case I guess I will have to suck it up

I know Loverslab isn't pornographic in the strictest sense of the term, but it is definitely adult oriented and why I question why you would even be surfing it in public. It's your own fault really. Loverslab has always had these ads, regardless of moving to a new OS. They are a necessary part of the internet and if it is what is needed to keep this site going I welcome it.

On the topic: I think the new IPB build is quite cumbersome and generally sucks compared to older IPB versions.

I don't know if this is the right topic to post this seeing there are other similar topics regarding the new forum layout.

But here goes.

 

A while back I replied in two threads which I now regret doing.

This because the topics are constantly updated by one person and keeps both topics on the top in "My Content" list.

Is there a way to deselect those topics and remove them from "my content"?

You should see an "Unfollow this topic" button at the top right of any thread your following.

I'm not following those topics, they were added automatically when I replied in them.

The "follow this topic" ends up in notifications.

 

What I'm talking about is

"Navigation bar>My name"

Click the arrow, the drop down shows:

My Profile
My Settings
My Content
Content I Follow
Manage Friends
Manage Ignore Prefs
Personal Messenger

Now if I click "My Content" a list of recent updates in threads I've replied to shows.

Ah, no there is no way to remove something from there other than deleting your posts in those threads. That section isn't really meant for keeping track of updates, just for keeping track of where you've posted before, so removing your posts there is the only way to remove it from that list.

Ok, thanks for the clarification.

I did delete the replies, but it seems the data is stored in two different tables so unfortunately that didn't work.

Deleted posts are only soft deleted so they can be restored in the event of accidental deletion or regret. They stay this way for 7 days before the system prunes them and removes them completely. Let me know what posts they were and I can prune them now.

Option "Allow me to approve members before they're added as a friend" is broken, It adds people to my friend list without approving.

Silly me , apparently there is a search thread on just by going to the thread you want, and then on the search on the right there will be section called thread .
