Skyrim SexLab and VR

Hello, i was with this config :

 

Sexlab beta 7

sl patch 35

vrik 23

 

i wanted to make them up to date. So i managed to upgrade vrik to the version 26 but im not able to do the same for sl patch. When i try to update for the 38 version, my sexlab menu into the mcm is empty, i just have the vr option displaying in.

I made a reset of sexlab before leave the game, made a new save and updated the sl patch without succes. 

i though it was become im using the beta 7 and not the 8 one. So, i downloaded the file for update beta 7 to beta 8. installed it, ofc, than, tried to put the sl patch 38, but again, not working, my mcm sexlab menu is still empty.

 

right now, my config is:

 

sexlab 7

sl patch 35

vrik 26

 

What i need to do for update my sl patch without broke sexlab? thx for help

working perfectly here, now I can control everything, except when I'm no participating... How do you start to take contorl of npc scenes?

And one other thing, even if it is no sexlab related: Can you select a diferent race when starting the game? for me, the game is crashing when trying to select another race or changing the sculpt of my character. I've tried to create another profile (with mo2) and starting only with racemenu and realm of lorkhan, but it is crashing anyways... It is sad that all the npcs are beautiful and my character is ugly as fuck... ?

Not sure if this is the place for this question, but I'm running into an issue where the clone function of Sexlab does not work if I'm in beast form (werewolf). The animations will start, but my werewolf is completely invisible. I'm wondering if this is because Skyrim VR doesn't have a player werewolf body. Follower werewolves appear properly in animations. Any ideas?

Currently, VRIK disables when in beast form since it hasn't been updated to support werewolf or Vampire Lord form.  Just reverts to vanilla so the claws show.  There is no first person body for Werewolf or Vampire Lord right now.

Yep, I'm not expecting any sort of first person in combination with VRIK for werewolves. Sexlab's VR version has an option to play animations in 3rd person as is typical in pancake. The trouble is, even with 3rd person enabled, the werewolf body is completely invisible. Oddly enough, Aela is also invisible in werewolf form during Companions quests even though Farkas wasn't. It's so bizarre.

I wonder if you have a female werewolf model that's incompatible.  I ran into that with Moonlight tales where I couldn't even see the hands in first person.  When I got rid of the one that changed the models, I was able to see the hands again.  I haven't tried Aela as werewolf yet.

So just to give a bit of background...  VRIK works by injecting code into Skyrim VR that forces it to switch into 3rd person mode, which is how it gets the body to show up.  Bethesda hacked just about everything in the VR version with the assumption that you'd never see your body, so VRIK has to go to great lengths.  There's code in VRIK to add its own support for just about everything SL does.

 

In VR, Bethesda hacked in support for both the Werewolf and Vampire Lord.  If a clone copies the bodies that the player would use, then I'm not surprised if they won't show up --- VR has no 3rd person player body for either of them.  I think in the VRIK version of SL, there's no clone option at all anymore (Reikiri correct me if I'm wrong).  The 1st and 3rd person modes both work by using VRIK features that allow mods to control it's avatar.  If VRIK can't display the body, then that won't work either.

 

Now for some good news, I do have werewolf and vampire lord forms working with VRIK in my development build at the moment.  A friend of mine found a method to get the bodies to show up (fix skeleton files, replace meshes, update race records).  I went ahead and added preliminary support to VRIK so it can cope with their bone structure, and a first try at hand animations for Index/Oculus.  There's still some snags like the werewolves sprint animation, but it's mostly playable.  It'll probably take awhile to get something suitable for public release, and there's a good chance that it'll take even longer to make get support for mods like SL...  But it'll all probably happen eventually.

That all makes perfect sense as far as why the third person won’t pop up. I had a hunch that the player werewolf model didn’t even exist or couldn’t be called as the player and therefore would never show up. In any case, I’d gladly do some testing with your dev build if you want! I’m not much of a coder but I'm willing to learn (I work in finance lol, but I just love Skyrim modding)! Anyway let me know and I’d gladly be a guinea pig!

ok, there is an update about my problem.

First of all, yea, i was with skse 11 and not the 12 one, a little update of it was needed.

I cleaned my installation, removed all sexlab framework i had + vr patch + paryrus VR.

 

Now step by step :

 

1. sexlab framework beta 7

2. The upgrade file for Beta 7 to 8

3. SL patch VR 38

4. Papyrus VR

 

After that, i launched the game again. My sexlab menu was empty again. When i closed the mcm, like alway after all my tentative, i just saw the message about targeted npc.

But this time my brain tilted. I have a mod for target npc since lot of time.

 

 

i removed this mod...

 

And bingo........

now all work fine... finaly...

One thing, I've just realized that everytime a sexlab animation is started, the height of the npc is reset to 1 (or whatever the normal value is). I've tried to change every option I could see in both VRIK and sexlab. Is there a solution for this?

My bad, I forgot to upload the new version to the LL thread. The new file works with the new version of the SL VR patch.

Thanks Prinyo I use this too and have also had some Sexlab menu items go missing.  Where is this new file?  I searched but my kung fu is weak.  Cheers!

Has anyone been able to get any of the animation packs working in Sexlab? I've got no errors, they show up in SLAL, but when I go to register it says "Registered 0 new animations". I got ZAZ working I think because it has a separate register button in its menu in MCM. I'm trying to install SLAL_Billyy_Animations_v3.42_SE if that helps. Thanks for all your guy's work on this!

I know this one's obvious, but did you run FNIS? I can’t tell you how many times I forgot to do that.

Yeah, I've been messing with it for a few days now. It shows up and reads correctly in FNIS everytime. I'm wondering if its something with Jcontainers since I have the VR version instead of the SE version. It throws a plugin error in Vortex and refuses to start if I have the SE one installed. It's not a dealbreaker if I can't get it installed I would just like to have a few more animations other than the default ones.

That’s really strange. My load order is Sexlab (version from this thread), VR Patch, SLAL (SE version), SE versions of all the animation packs (load after SLAL), JContainers VR, PapyrusUtilVR (I know some say it’s not needed and not to let it override Sexlab, but honestly I haven’t had problems) and of course the usual body mods (I use Cbbe 3bbb and SOS) and VRIK. What is the plugin error?

That honestly makes me feel better that I just fucked up somewhere along the line rather than trying to figure out if some animation packs were VR compatible or not haha. I'm pretty new to modding so it kind of feels like my game's being held together by duct tape and superglue. But yeah when I tried to run the SE version of Jcontainers before I found the VR one I would get the error "Jcontainers64.dll (00000001 Jcontainers64 00000004) reported as incompatible during query" (<manually installed>): reported as incompatible during query" Of course I don't get the error when I have the VR version installed, and since it works for you maybe that's not the issue after all. Is there anyway to like bypass SLAL to register the animations or is that the only way to get them in the game? (I think I know the answer but humor me)

Pretty sure you need SLAL. In the MCM for SLAL are you first hitting enable all before you hit register? If you don’t do that first there’s nothing to register.

Hi, I have been trying to get this to work, and everything installs correctly but I'm unable to go into 1st person mode, instead I am locked in freely moving mode while a clone of my character goes through the animations.  Has anyone else had this issue?

Make sure you have installed the SLVR patch from the start of this thread. And then in the VR section in the MCM menu of SL select one of the options for 1st person view.

Something keeps changing my Gender setting in this mod to Female, loading the female only animation scenarios for my male character. I change it to male, double checking before continuing the game. But eventually, I’ll find it reset back to female. Any ideas what could be causing this?
