Merging mods and plugins can be troublesome when using mod managers that can keep track of available updates on Nexus (Vortex). I update my mods regularly, and having to go through the merging process every time I want to update something I included in a merge does not appeal to me.

 

Yeah, a lot of MCMs are poorly titled, this is where Barzing's MCM renaming function would definitely shine. I've gotten pretty well accustomed to just spamming page up/page down on my keyboard to navigate roughly to where I wanna be on the MCM list - but I see some real merit in being able to categorize it.

 

Some examples:

 

Stuffing all the Sexlab mods into one place.

Perhaps separating all the mods that deal with various aspects of slavery (Cursed Loot, Devious Devices, Simple Slavery etc.) into their own category.

Weather and environmental mods in their own categories.

 

There is potential here.

this 254 mods version is mine too, some months ago it spread through the web from different users that repost it on different websites, some asked me permission, some not, but i don't care. You can still find it there on loverslab where i posted it first some years ago in an archived forum thread. BUT this version is partially broken as i produced it with SkyUI SDK sources that are incomplete, so some functions that exist in last version of SkyUI 5.1 are not present in my 254 mods version. Some guys corrected this some months ago while publishing it on other sites. And some not.

Any advice for installing this mid-game? I see you mention "uninstalling SkyUI properly", could you perhaps elaborate on that? Pulling SkyUI out freezes my game on the load game menu so I can't exactly do a clean save, nor does Fallrim Tools help.

 

I see the mod works as intended on a new game, but I'm writing a fanfic so I'd rather not have to start from scratch.

 

Edit: Correction, it only freezes if I use the Continue option but it eventually CTDs on the load screen.

I see. I have noticed that the version I downloaded from the VectorPlexus site stops working if you clean a save using Fallrim Tools.

The additional page option disappears from the MCM menu.

 

I'll have to download the new version you've assembled and start a new game.

 

Also, any further updates on where you're at with this?

This has been rebuilt with SkyUI 5.2SE - and will not function with later versions of SkyUI if/when released.

Now that i'm back to Skyrim i installed SkyrimSE and tried This, but it's wrongly compiled, not totally your fault Caco Demon, one source in the zip was from SkyUI 5.1 SDK and this is precisely a "not up to date" source file and you'll miss some functionnalities while using MCM.

 

Here a correctly recompiled version (updated 2020/12/18):

Yeah, I ended up fixing it about 2 weeks or so before you posted this (Edit: 4th Oct) - the mod had stopped working all of a sudden with a SkyUI variant I edited for more notifications. Recompiled it and got it all working after some poking about. You've saved me updating my post at least - probably did a better job, at that.

 

As a matter of interest, have you made any further progress with this mod? Or do you have any other Skyrim projects you're working on, and wanna provide us with some details?

Ok, so you added  the "OnInputSelect" and "OnInputAccept" functions ? these ones were particulary missing in this compilation. Without it you couldn't edit strings (ie SmoothCam, you can't change the name of your saved profiles). 

 

I'll probably continue to work on this SkyUI dev but for Skyrim SE. And i will look into porting some of my loverslab mods to SE.

Hi, thanks a lot for this, i hope you gonna post it as a proper mod,

 

it's deserve more view it'sd kinda very hard to find, and with esl and new merging and smach utility, it very easy to go over the 127 mcm...

Nope, didn't change anything like that - just recompiled it after finding my initial conversion had suddenly stopped working (load order, probably).

 

Honestly, I don't think my version was working properly at all - and that'd probably be why. I downloaded your updated version a couple days ago to see the difference and realized my crappy version hadn't been sorting things into the alphabetized categories. In fact, I don't think it was actually showing more than the standard max of 128 plugins. So yeah, an attempt was made, but definitely not worth uploading. ?

Ty for this was banging my head for weeks cause some menu's where not showing.  I can confirm a new save is required tried using Resaver  but would not update to new menu without a new game.  Don't have any options to configure menu's yet  but it does work agine TY

I spent the end of year 2020 coding during my  holidays, i became ill (for other reasons - not coding - ?), but ...

 

Finally, it's coming very soon : an alpha version of my modified SKY UI codename "Resort" (inlcuding rename of mods and menus)

 

I'll post it in download section for Skyrim SE ... watch for it. ?️?️?️

OMFG...this was a god-send. 
You, are my savior. 

 

Now,...If there was a button that could refresh/kick lazy MCMs from showing, that would be awesome. 

 

My only issue:

I installed this magical plugin on an existing save and all my MCMs showed up...i was stoked .. except one...Campfire was being a pain since i added then removed it from a mergedPlugin.

 

So i decided to do setstage ski_configmanagerinstance 1...

and now many menus have disappeared

?

U can't install it mid-game, or use resaver and delete SKI_ConfigManager.pex from save before resaving it.

The menu is working perfectly for me, but one ODD thing:

Cathedral Weathers is sorted on top of the "STU" section. No idea why. I tried a few new games, but it remains there. Do you have any idea why?

it's propably because the menu name is a located name, located names for skyui can't be managed by papyrus. So the patch take the variable name, adapt it and use it as real name for sorting, that's why some mod names can be sometime in the wrong menu list, but i can't really do anything about it. or you can use the customisation/renaming possibilities via the  configuration menu.
