Standalone mod features:

• Custom Porn Channels: Adds seven brand new custom porn channels to your TV, all showing original quality programming!
• Video Rental System: Now, you can also straight up just rent any porn videos to watch as well, no need to wait for them to show up on one of the channels.
• Additional Social Interactions: Your sims can now have a discussion about all the saucy stuff they just saw on the TV. The "Discuss Porn Films..." social context menu is available while (and shortly after) watching any of the porn channels.
• Optional personal porn watching preferences: Attention span length and watch preferences can be set individually for each sim, so they watch only certain kinds of porn (straight, gay, lesbian). - see Manual for details.

For the mod to work, you have to Download and Install the Base CinErotique Mod Framework first.

IF YOU'RE UPDATING THE FRAMEWORK FROM v6.x (DATED PRE 2023-APRIL), THEN YOU NEED TO REMOVE ALL CINEROTIQUE FILES, AND RE-INSTALL EVERYTHING!!! THAT MEANS VIDEO PACKAGE FILES AS WELL!!! PROBABLY BEST IF YOU JUST OUTRIGHT DELETE YOUR OLD CINEROTIQUE MOD FOLDER AND START OVER!

If you are a bit sloppy at managing your Mods folder, you can use the Windows batch script I wrote to find any v6.x or older CinErotique related mod files that might be hiding in your Mods folder. THIS IS COMPLETELY OPTIONAL THOUGH, ONLY USE IT IF YOU WANT TO!

-IMPORTANT:- When updating the MOD FILES to a newer version, always overwrite older files when prompted to. 

1. Download the latest mod framework from the top of the #DOWNLOAD THIS FILE# section.
2. Unzip it with 7zip or other compatible zip/rar software.
3. Copy the whole CinErotique folder AS IT IS straight into your Sims4 "Mods" folder.
   THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT, as the BASE_FRAMEWORK_PECO_CinErotique.ts4script file can not be more than one folder deep within the Mods folder!
4. Move any video package files you might already have into the CinErotique > Videos folder.
5. Make sure you've enabled both "Content and Mods" and "Script Mods" in the game's Game Options > Other settings.
6. The core framework installation is now done, so let's move onto the "Pick Your Videos" section and download some actual video content for the channel(s)...

If you are a noob to sims modding and feel unsure, here's a step-by-step guide for first time installation.

 

While it's not required, I recommend you to install the following mod as well:

• Wicked Whims by TurboDriver - Enables the "Masturbate to TV porn" interaction for all CE channels.

THE 32-BIT 'LEGACY EDITION' OF TS4 IS NOT SUPPORTED BY THIS MOD.

• You can download and install as many or as few videos as you like! there's no limit! The mod automatically recognizes installed content and adds it to the ingame TV playlist.
• You can download the individual video package files from the #DOWNLOAD THIS FILE# section.
  • If you want to mass download all files, please refer to this forum post for more details and a full tutorial.
  • Alternatively to that, if you open the "Download this file" section in a new tab, then you can just hold down the CTRL key and click all the "Download" buttons.
• Copy the package files over to CinErotique > Videos folder within your Sims 4 Mods folder.

STEP-BY-STEP FIRST TIME INSTALLATION OF THE MOD FRAMEWORK:

1. Download the CinErotique Mod Framework.
   Go to the mod's page and click on the DOWNLOAD THIS FILE button.
   
   
   Look for the !CinErotique_Mod_Framework_[vX].zip file at the top of the list. Click Download
   
    
2. Copy/Move the downloaded !CinErotique_Mod_Framework_[vX].zip file into your Sims "Mods" directory.
    
3. Extract the file in place with 7zip, or a compatible software of your choice.
   Now you should have a folder called "CinErotique".
   
   Make sure the "CinErotique" folder is in the root of the "Mods" folder!
   Do not move the "CinErotique" folder any deeper into other sub-folders!
   THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!
    
4. The core framework installation is now done.
   If you've done everything right, your main "CinErotique" folder should look similar to this:
   
   with a "MODULES" folder containing the gameplay module packages....
   
   and a "VIDEOS" folder containing the individual video packages.
   
5. Run Sims 4.
   Go to Game Options > Other, and make sure that you have both "CC and Mods" and "Script Mods" enabled.
   
    
6. Now for the final check, load one of your saves, and click on a Television.
   You should see a new menu appear, called "Watch Porn channel".
   
    
7. That's it. We're finished. Now let's download and install some actual video content for the channels...

 

HOW TO DOWNLOAD AND ADD VIDEOS FOR THE TV CHANNELS:

1. Go to the mod's page and click on the DOWNLOAD THIS FILE button.
   
    
2. Download the videos you'd like to have in your game.
   You can download any number of videos, there's no lower or upper limit.
   The mod automatically recognizes installed content every time you start your game.
   
   (To help decide which videos you want, you can find previews for very video at the mod's page.)
    
   • Also, if you want to mass download all videos, please refer to this forum post for details.
   • Alternatively to that, if you set your browser so it doesn't ask to confirm where to save the file every time, then you right-click on the "Download this file" button and Open it in new tab, then you can just hold down CTRL and click on the "Download" buttons going down the list, it's pretty fast too, should take less then a minute to do so.
      
3. Copy/Move the downloaded .package files into the following folder:

ON GAMEPLAY MODULES AND HOW TO ENABLE/DISABLE THEM:

Gameplay MODULES represent mod features that can be individually enabled or disabled based on your personal gameplay preferences.
For example, you might not like the overly powerful 'Flirty+4' buff your sim receives every time after watching porn on the TV, or you're not particularly fond of having certain TV channels to be in your game.

 

Note that this MODULE management feature is totally optional, the mod works just fine with the default settings, I just wanted to include the option for users to be able to customize their in-game experience in case they wanted to.

 

For detailed description on what each MODULE do, please refer to the included README_file_descriptions.txt within the mod's MODULES folder.

 

HOW TO ENABLE/DISABLE MODULES:
You can disable MODULES by changing the files' extension from .package to .off, and vice versa to turn them back on.

So, for example to turn the 'RAW TV channel" MODULE off, rename the PECO_MODULE_TVCHANNEL_raw.package file to PECO_MODULE_TVCHANNEL_raw.off

 

NOTES: 

• When you turn a MODULE off, it will be GLOBALLY DISABLED in the game, not just for a particular save or played family!
• While it's not recommended, instead of changing a MODULE's extension to turn it off, you can just delete the package file straight away. It accomplishes the same effect.

Version 7.x - USER MANUAL / WHAT'S NEW

 

HOW TO ACCESS THE BASE CHANNELS

All porn channels are locked on all TVs by default (apart from a preview channel), with three possible ways to unlock them...

 

Option 1.: Pay a §399 one time fee to unlock all Premium Channels on a single TV.
If you're a law abiding simizen, there are simply no other way! The hard working pornstars of Simsville have bills to pay too, and you, as an upstanding, honest member of your sim community, simply can't bear the thought of them going hungry, just because you want free porn.
Quick and Easy!

 

Option 2.: Bah, payment-smayment! You didn't spend 4 years on siM.I.T. university to waste your money on something that you can acquire easily for free. Put that degree in Handiness to the test, and hack your way through, by completing the "Super Reception" upgrade, all you need is your trusty screwdriver and some parts...
Yarr, it's a pirate's life for me!

 

Option 3.: If you're a rich sim with a large household (and lots of TVs), you might also consider buying the CineSAT™ Satellite Dish or Cable Box- both retailing at §1399 - that after being placed on your home lot, will enable all porn channels for all TVs.

... either way you chose, all channels are now unlocked, enjoy the show!

CinErotique Settings Menu

SET UP PERSONAL WATCH PREFERENCES FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL TV CHANNELS

This feature allows you to assign personal watch preferences for each ingame TV channels (both basic and porn).
Channels can be Liked (x5 watch probability), Disliked (x0.2 watch probability) or Disabled.

 

Where to find it: Currently active watched channels can be rated from the top of the TV's pie menu by using the "Rate this Channel..." option + there's an in depth picker also available on the second page of the TV's pie menu, called "Set Channel Ratings"; this will let you assign several ratings at one go.

 

Some notes:

- Channel ratings are done on an individual, per sim basis.

- Liking channels does not mean that the sim will auto choose them every single time, it just means that they will be more likely to choose Liked channels on average.

 

Cheats: Shift click Sim > Assign Baseline TV Channel Ratings > Here you can assign likes/dislikes based on some pre made profiles, or can reset all to default.

 

CUSTOMIZABLE PERSONAL PORN WATCHING PREFERENCES

Accessible through clicking on the active sim and selecting 'CinErotique' from the pie menu.

 

Sexual Orientation: By default, all sims can watch all kinds of porn, but if you'd like to roleplay, you can set up personal watch preferences for each sim, so they'll only watch certain things on the TV. (for example, a sim with a preference of "No Gay Porn" will never watch the gay channel on the TV.)

 

Personality Traits: If you like to really take some sims to the extremes, you can give them either the 'Porn Maniac' trait - these sims will always choose to watch porn over anything else -, or give them the 'Virgin Eyes' trait - in which case they will be disgusted by such lowly forms of entertainment of the flesh, and will never stoop so low as to watch it.

 

Attention Span: Our dear little sims are famously easily distractible creatures, so this new system tries to give you some control over their porn watching habits by setting them up with a Short, Normal or Long attention spans.

 

MASTURBATE WHILE WATCHING TV

Did you just catch your sim watching the naughty stuff on the TV again?... why not let him/her relieve simselves by having a quick session of "coup de main"... Just click on the sim, and select "Masturbate to TV Porn".

Note: this feature requires Wicked Whims v170 or later.

 

SOCIAL INTERACTION: DISCUSS PORN FILMS

Your sims can now have a discussion about all the saucy stuff they just saw on the TV. The "Discuss Porn Films..." social context menu is available while watching any porn channel, and even shortly after.

"Oooh, did you hear about how CinErotique star Taylor Stiffed just broke up with her boyfriend... again... and wrote a song about it... again! Yeah, tell me about it!"

There are three decorative Always-on Displays available, - Plasmatron, Monolith and a frameless one.
All of them can be configured to show content from a certain channel, they can even be muted if you need it so.

They can be bought from Build Buy > Electronics > Misc for §1.

Note: these displays are purely for show, they can not be interacted with by the sims. If you want some that can be watched, then choose the new...

CINEMA DISPLAYS

These Cinema Displays are ideal for cinema builds (duh), as you can just plop them down, and let your simmies flock to see the show.

There are two versions of this screen, one is framed and one is frameless. They are the same size and do the same thing, so it's just about which look you prefer.

They both feature 5 swatches, which represent the playlist they will show. These are:

• All videos - this just plays random videos, like the Shuffle Channel does on the TV.
• Movies - this playlist only includes the videos that are marked as movies.
• Straight / Lesbian / Gay - these are - quite self-explanatory - only play content that are marked as Straight, Lesbian or Gay respectively.

They can be found in Build Buy > Electronics > Televisions > 'CinErotique CINEMA display'

Note: you can not "change the channel" on the cinema screens once they are placed on the lot. If you want to replace them with a different one you have to do it from the Build-Buy menu... They only cost $1 though, so it shouldn't break the bank to do so

PS: don't forget, if you don't like the size, you can always just resize object by using the [ and ] keys.

Also, if you're looking for some sweet cinema seats, ATS4 has you covered.

I don't have Island Living installed, but Bewitched (ooh... i can do it in sepia!) and Friends sounds definitely fun, probably not for a full length 3+ minutes clip, but maybe for a half minute trailer promo thing.

If you don't mind, I'd request your simstars in the channel have a maxis-match hairstyle, for lore-friendly immersion. And another suggestion, you can download from the EA gallery many great creations of real life celebrity sims. I hope the future movie in your mod use any of them.
