So I searched through the thread and at the new files, couldn't find a mention of some of the add-on items I found in my old folder.

 

Had an "Extras" folder with:

 

PECO_ADDITIONAL_MOD_disable gay channel (assume I can achieve the same by removing "PECO_MODULE_TVCHANNEL_gay"  as I won't use these)

PECO_ADDITIONAL_MOD_eaiser_super_reception_upgrade

PECO_ADDITIONAL_MOD_more_tv_menu_icons   (assume this replaced by "PECO_MODULE_OVERRIDE_more_pie_menu_icons" in the new files)

 

Also searching your additional files here I found: (how did I miss this? have all your other stuff)

 

Is this still fine to use, meaning it won't conflict with the new CinErotique 7.0?

The whole "EXTRAS" folder from the old version should be deleted! Features that are still supported now have their equivalents in the "MODULES" folder.

Your assumption of deleting a Module in case you don't want it/need it is correct, though it's enough if you just change their extensions from .package to something like .off

Those files are still safe to use and need no updating, they only play on the PC, so they won't conflict with anything TV related.

2. But actually the lower count is because some trailers and adverts are now included in the Base Framework, and not as a separate individual packages.

Thank You! I had already removed the whole old folder, made a new one with the new stuff just to make sure I didn't miss any old files.

 

But I couldn't resist cross referencing against the old one before I deleted it.

 

I have a compulsion to make sure I dotted the "i"'s and crossed the "t"'s, and then go back and cross the "i"'s and dot the "t"'s for good measure. ?

"Basketball" is now titled: RAW_SD_cumming_off_the_bench_(FM).package
"Caveman" is now titled: RAW_SD_ill_purr_for_a_new_fur_(FM).package

But "Blaster Master" is indeed missing from the download list, looks like I forgot to upload that one, thanks for letting me know, I will upload it momentarily.

Thanks for the Update, finally got a chance to play with it and really like the changes. Those little figurines look great!

 

Wish all packages in real life would open with that much enthusiasm!  ???

 

Also liked the web store, actually buying the satellite and placing it, the mysterious package, posters, movie rentals and anything else I forgot to mention.

 

Can't wait to see what else you cook up in the future. Perhaps a golden ticket in one of the collectable boxes for a free tour of the CinErotique Studios, or a backstage pass to one of the stars dressing room, or maybe they come visit your home? Flash card, choose your own adventure anyone?  ?

Geez! Stop unwittingly spoiling all my future plans in advance, lol ? Truth is, I had to cut out quite a few planned features at the end to keep the release on schedule, but no worries, they will be slowly implemented as we go through v7.1 - v7.2 - etc.
Also, thank you for the kind words, and I'm happy that everything is (more-or-less) working without any major hickups (though, there's a bugfix coming - probably on the weekend - to iron out some of the bugs that are still in), the beta testers and I worked quite hard to make sure everything is at least at a non-game breaking level. ?

Autonomy is set up for a good default spread between porn and normal channels/movies - unless you manually give a sim the Porn Maniac trait, in which case, well, you get what you paid for -, so we have to establish some definitions here:

1. What does "every time" means? --- Like, how many times was that "every time" actually? If it happened like 3-4-5 times in a row that's just how random works sometimes, like getting 4 heads in a row when tossing a coin... hardly an impossible outcome, especially that I think the random number generator in the Sims4 is not that random.
2. "...watches the Porn channel" - there's 7 porn channels in the mod, so are we talking about the sim watching the same porn channel every time, or one of the porn channels?

 

Here, I just ran an autonomy test for a sim to select something on the TV by herself for 20 times, the spread was:

Ingame channels: 7

Ingame movies: 8

Porn channels: 5

@ bon_simp - Also, if you have ANY override mods (Especially those that are porn channels by other modders), this too will have an affect

 

Otherwise @ PECO. -  Cindy sure seems to be turning the TV off as she channel surfs for some strange reason. If that's a new feature, you might want to look at that

That's not the sim, but me manually cancelling the interaction from the action-queue, it's just that my OBS is set not to record my mouse cursor, so it doesn't show on the video.

I know you probably mean well, but I'd rather you to stop giving out support advices in my official topic, based on personal assumptions you have, because things might not be the way you think they are. 1. Set your browser so it doesn't ask to confirm where to save the file (so it will just download files to the default location)
   Chrome: Settings > Downloads > Ask where to save... [turn off toggle]
   Firefox: Settings > General > Files and Applications > Downloads > Always ask you where to save files [untick]
   Edge: Settings > Downloads > Ask me what to do with each download [turn off toggle]
2. Then right-click on the "Download this file" button on the mod's page > Open in new tab, then you can just hold down CTRL and click on the "Download" buttons one after the other, it should take LITERALLY less then a minute to do so.

When you turn a MODULE off, it will be GLOBALLY DISABLED in the game, not just

MOD WAS UPDATED TO v7.0b (2023-APR-28):

• The CE Webshop and FigBay are now both can be accessed from the sims' phone as well (Shopping Menu) - Thx Turbo, for the help!
• Added support for the new "SquareTube" television set that came with the "Basement Treasures" Kit.
• (Hopefully) fixed a bunch of small bugs.

Files affected by this update:

• BASE_FRAMEWORK_PECO_CinErotique.package 
• BASE_FRAMEWORK_PECO_CinErotique.ts4script
• MODULES / all PECO_MODULE_TVCHANNEL_XXXXX.packages 

GENERAL REMINDER ABOUT THE NEW 7.x MOD VERSION:

IF YOU DECIDE TO UPDATE FROM v6.x TO v7.0, YOU MUST REMOVE ALL OLD CINEROTIQUE FILES, AND RE-INSTALL EVERYTHING!!! THAT MEANS VIDEO PACKAGE FILES AS WELL!!!
DO NOT TRY TO MIX IN OLD v6.x VIDEO PACKAGE FILES YOU MIGHT ALREADY HAVE WITH THE NEW v7.x ONES, THEY USE A NEW FORMAT AND THEY WILL NOT WORK TOGETHER PROPERLY WITH THE OLD ONES!!!

I was looking at the incorrect readme. Do I need to have all packages present and do the file type renaming thing, or can I just leave out the tv channel plugins I don't want to see?

You can just leave out/delete the individual TV channel MODULES you don't want in your game.
