But problem is... textures are for Nini's COS body, and you are probably looking for UUNP or CBBE...

I used to have Nini skin for UNP, but I deleted it along with other files I don't need.

Now I regret it. I never knew that "Trying to get Ninirim look" (were i originaly get the files) thread is gone

1. nini skin is literally pure skin desaturated 15%, resized to 2K and recompressed again because compressing it twice wasn't apparently pixellated enough

2. COS is CBBE.

Once again you have an opinion and nothing to back it up, which makes it a pointless opinion. Pure is a waste of space relative to the skin it's derived from because it's recompressed. Recompression happens if you use a lossy format whether your memory size changes or not.

 

Second of all, the entire >point< of the DXT1 format is it ALWAYS outputs to a fixed file size. Always.  So if you're once again done trying to be all mad at me for not giving a shit about your bipolar content rants, and your Phoenix Wright gotcha moment is not only redundant, but day one wiki material you obviously know nothing about, we can move on.

 

Nini resized and recompressed it again on top of that, loss of visual data and quality, the end.

When storing the RGBA information of your texture each pixel requires 32 bit to store the information. For DXT compressions the texture is split into segments of 4x4 pixels which are then compressed. These 16 pixels take 512 bits to store without the compression.

Pure was lossy to begin with, so basically regenbot did a lot of met art texture combining of Caprice with fair skin for nothing, unless you're on a 6bit TFT laptop, in which case I'm sure it looks great. While regenbot has improved in technique, just like ZwabberdieBo he insists on compressing the fuck out of everything with lossy formats and as long as that continues there will be pixellated output, and that is a fact, not an opinion because that's how lossy compression algorithms factually work and have since the 80s.

 

Whether it's anyone's favorite skin is entirely redundant. You can like or dislike whatever you want, whatever happens on your hard drive is your business. None of that changes that Mature2 and Fair are the objective bar, and neither of regenbot's skins measure to the same level of craft or process use.

haven't bake that to skyrim body, it's faster to just port the body that come with those textures

you can't get those textures to look as good as original anyway

 

v4 it's 3 textures, 3 more than with oblivion v3 (head was in body texture? don't remember)

so arms attached back to body, and compressed to 1k... outch, that suck

hands removed from the arms, less crappy, there's space around body, it will go there

now the legs, damn, result is even worse than oblivion that had legs under body, can't be bellow oblivion for skyrim, legs will go near body, where hands were supposed to go, where to put hands now?

and that's how v4 became that thing in skyrim (if that was left alone, you could do the usual saving the .jpg as .dds and your texture is ready for whatever game it is, not doa, saw in the skyrim mod they have reverse left leg uv map to load right leg texture on that, how come nobody thought about that before them)

 

when you save a texture as dxt1, dxt1 compression filter is applied on that texture

when you resave that texture as dxt1, dxt1 compression filter, is applied on that texture (even if you did nothing to it)

because of that you can download the uncompressed texture, if you want to mess with it, you do it with the uncompressed (and when you are done, you compress that, or you go whine in the technical section you ram ctd)

you download follower x that use texture y, that follower texture folder is 150 mb (if it's not uncompressed 8k)

you play with texture y, same texture so 150 mb again

you have npc replacer z, that use texture a on that npc, texture folder is 150 mb too

 

you need 450 mb with your char, follower and that npc on screen (150 *3)

 

you replace follower x diffuse with a 8k texture, 40 mb if i remember right

you give npc replacer z another 8k texture, that's 80 mb

and you pick texture y 8k version for your char, 80 + 40 + 80 (msn is 8k or 4k?) + 5 mb (8k for black & white is useless) + 1 (the texture that put some red here and there, kinda useless since you can barely see that in game), you now need 210 mb with bigger texture

follower x use the same msn you use, why make him load a copy paste of that? put the msn you use in that useless custom race npc texture path, and waste that ram on better things

I personally don't need it, I think it looks out of place in Skyrim or at least in mine.

I just wanted to take a cheapshot about the lack of help the OP seemed to be given over arguements about what was a better skin.

what would you do with that stuff anyway, you use the body those textures are for or the outfits that go in that body?

 

it's 5 min to port an outfit, you load daz, your t pose victoria, put the outfit on her, and it's ready

don't have the unp or cbbe victoria, so i just play with that victoria (can't give those outfits to npc? i can live with that)

I don't know what is going on anymore however it does seem that this is nothing to do with the texture pack the OP was after and more to do with someone wanting a mod that another person doesn't want to release.

 

If that is the case, I am pretty certain that is their perogative.

I know how to import and convert things into Skyrim so, i need only the full body with head. (nif + textures)
The armor converting is my problem.
