wollboi Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 @JYGGALAG_69 1) It depends. ESLs can't be updated by patches (or can only in certain respects). I would use an ESP if you are unsure. 2) Yep. Put them at the top of the plugin order in the order that they are listed.
wollboi Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 @Aylis I've never played an orc lady before and almost threw up when I saw that they use male animations (including walking, idles, and conditional idles so that she attempts to cover up a penis she does not have). Thanks, Bethesda. I'm testing this ATM. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/11956?tab=description Edit: Seems to work fine. All animations switched back to female without issue so far. 1

Going through that thread i'm actually more inclined to remove it (so @jaeos won't get hit by lightning again ;)). But seriously, that looks nasty there and i got to think about it. 5 hours ago, alaunus01 said: And on your testruns going to windhelm last to avoid getting poor Susanna getting killed too soon. Have you looked at Blood on the Ice and/or Finding Susanna Alive? Yeah, got to agree with that. I'm quite reluctant to hand out free stuff (i removed quite a few otherwise good mods because of that). The one in Riverwood is so basic that it works fine as a beginners home to simply store all the things you like to keep. Ebongrove ties into Dawnguard and works nicely with the lore (even if that part is a bit hidden). Aldamar also fits well. This could have been the real home of the alchemist that used the shack and later died in that pond in Falkreath. If the existance doesn't make sense, be it lorewise or its location (like a castle in the middle of nowhere), i won't add it. But if it does, and isn't overpowered or feels 'cheaty', then i'll happily add it. I already tested them. Both were not my cup of tea. ___________________________________________________ One more to add later:? Fix Note icon for SkyUI That was a great suggestion... ?
unknownwake Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 Really looking forward to the results of Creature testing so i can get railed by a centurion. Thanks again for the guide, it's been an invaluable resource that i've been able to point friends to as a good starting point for learning about modding. 1

BlueInkAlchemist Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 I think I'm about ready to start getting set up through MO2, and my only real concern is my processor. I'm running a GTX 970 graphics card which should handle that end of things, but my rather aged machine is working with an i5-2500 3.3GHz CPU. That seems to be below the CPU recommended by Aylis. I'm running Fallout New Vegas with a variety of mods rather smoothly. Anyone running a similar configuration with advice or stories to share?

rodrigo2 Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 @Aylis Here's a suggested addition to the trees: Alpine Forest of Whiterun Valley at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community It covers the treeless areas to the north and northwest of Whiterun. This is an area that has not just one but several bandit encampments. There's that small bandit encampment in an alcove literally just beyond the walls of Whiterun with Halted Stream Camp just beyond that. Adding the trees creates the desired illusion that there's more distance between the bandit camps. It's small enough so that it doesn't conflict with anything else.

Thank you so much for being attentive and responsive! Last question before I start diving into installation. Is the 'Creative Club' area also a good place for mods like Become a Bard or Campsite? Provided they don't require pre-requisites from elsewhere in the load order, of course. Also: any updates on how HIMBO works with this configuration? ☺️

HIMBO seems to require a few more updates (especially when it comes to armors). I track it, but i guess it will take some time before i can add it to the list.
rodrigo2 Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 @Aylis I've put all esm's to the top followed by esl's in the order you showed on that one slide. What about esp's that are in boldface? Do they come third or do we leave where they were?

ChwX Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 Hi! I ran into this issue after installing High Poly NPC Overhaul - Resources - KS Hairdos HDT SMP. - New game - Reinstalled KS Hairdos - HDT SMP (Physics) with optional wigs (As per mod requirement) - Tried reinstalling again HDT-SMP for SSE 1.5.97 - Tried reinstalling SC - KS Hairdos Retextured - Physics (Overwrites some files from HP NPC) Any idea why this might be happening? Thanks, and @Aylis thank you a lot for this amazing list! Spoiler
Aylis Posted March 7, 2021 Author Posted March 7, 2021 @ChwX Could reproduce that error. Its the bodyslides for the wigs that cause it. Deleting them should fix the problem.
akadeadpool Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 Does anyone has problem with Aela in werewolf form is completely invisible? Today I start Silver Hand quest and go to the meeting in Underforge only to find out that there is an invisible Aela werewolf standing there. Not sure if it is the same for Farkas or anyone else. Edit: After some investigation, I found out Shield Sisters Re-Imagined SE is the culprit. To solve the bug, download the esp file provided in the sticky post of that mod. @Aylis You may want to add a note to the Shield Sisters mod about the above problem until the author integrate the fix to his mod. 1

rodrigo2 Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 Okay, I found the following on the list & want to make sure I followed directions: Quote Skyrim 2020 Parallax - Mountains (Just select the texture you like) ? You have to manually copy 'mountainslab01.dds' and paste it (into the same folder) as 'rock_cliffs_0061_01.dds'. I downloaded the "Parallax - Mountains" and chose my favorite texture. I then copied mountainslab01.dds' and pasted it into the Majestic Mountains folder where I found the "rock_cliffs" texture. Now, with this done, is the "Parallax - Mountains" mod still necessary? Should it remain activated? Or do I delete it now that the desired texture has been copied to Majestic Mountains mod? 1

Four Core CPU and (V)RAM. 16gb RAM and making sure to install the smaller textures can get you over the finish line, maybe even 12gb anything less you will run into serious problems (like constant crashes when your VRAM is 'full'). And I don't see a four core CPU handling havoc physics well, you might have to disable all the jiggle.

I actually spent 9 months in Germany with the US military close to 10 years ago. (Sadly, I didn't have the chance to learn German. But then, should I install the wigs? Do I build them in my bodyslides?

Updating is a good idea, but you only make sure that you have the wigs and the patches installed (see the description of 'High Poly NPC Overhaul'). Don't build bodyslides for them! Those cause this problem. 35 minutes ago, akadeadpool said: To anyone doing the latest update, remember to clean your save because removing Cathedral - Water Overhaul and Bug Fixes could lead to missing mesh problem somewhere in world. FallRim Tools didn't show anything. The meshes and textures get replaced by newer versions. You only get a message after loading an older save. This is one of the rare cases where it just works. __________________________________________________ Uploaded 'SSEB - Batches and Patches'. The links in the guide already point to the new target. The update to the 'Textures Patch' is REQUIRED for the new mountain textures to work properly.
