I tried about a dozen insignia's on the black beret but only really liked 2 so far......most don't look right as they're getting warped by the beret shape...and that was after modifying the mesh to give me more room to put them where i did.

 

Didn't try the russian sickle and hammer insignia yet, would need to reshape the beret more then i already have as part of that insignia is dead center, where there currently isn't enough room to make it look right.  More shaping will likely fix it and others but i'm done tinkering for today...

  black beret can be turned on the head? if you rotate it clockwise on the right ...  don't change it ... just move the emblems

I had not thought of rotating it.

Reshaping was still completely necessary though.  If you look at his original beret in the game it's almost entirely curved with virtually no flat area at all where a 'real' beret typically is.  Otherwise your just placing a flat emblem on a curved surface and it doesn't look very good ...besides having alot of distortion.

 

Currently trying to figure out why i'm getting the purple tints to my black textures.  Looking at other outfits on other characters in the game, it looks like some of them have the same purple tint on black outfits but maybe not all to the same degree.  I have directx 12 installed and just downloaded nvidia's plugin so we'll see if theres any difference.  Then again, maybe i'm too concerned with something that i can't control as the game is doing the majority of it.

My first mod...needs a little tweaking here and there yet but the worst is behind me and I'm happy with it so far......

Special shout out to snake230 who gave me advice about how to edit the body in blender!

 

Not too hard to guess the look i was going for!?

 on the first image, the US special forces emblem, if I'm not mistaken.  and the character comes from Russia. Russian special forces will not wear the symbols of the United States and also fighters of elite divisions (russian: airborne forces, marines, and special forces of the police) and why should he? because enough American characters ... which can weigh the American symbolism ... but the only Russian in the game, why touch?    :)

This is all good. I respect the Russian special forces, but what about the image of Rambo or Rocky Balboa?

It would be great to see them in DOA. ?

And I think that Rig is most suitable for this role, although of course other candidates are possible.

Having some issues trying to edit Hitomi's deluxe costume. I created a new breast mesh and tried to integrate it into the existing chest as a test, but I'm getting these weird lines (see screenshot). Anyone know how to debug? The steps I did:

 

1. Create new breast mesh

2. Cut out chest of existing costume to fit

3. Combined the new breast mesh and the cut out chest into a single mesh, ran the soft body calculations on both sides

4. Replaced the old chest meshes with these new chest meshes

Not any breast can match a character's soft body .This problem was discussed months ago. Each vertex is surrounded by eight squares so that no errors can occur ,The fewer errors there are, the higher the record, which is shown when you do the math

As far as I can tell, the vertices in question are definitely surrounded by cubes:

I do not understand, you are against Rambo? Everyone has their own heroes.

  Am I not writing correctly? Rambo is a good hero, but for an American . Bayman, he is Russian, and let them remain. And for Rambo enough heroes from America in the game . I'm closer to this hero than Rambo. Rambo killed Russians, Ivan Drago...  americans  (Apollo Creed). Are you from America? I'm from Russia. Now you understand why our heroes are different? I do not call the heroes of the game from America to wear clothes with clearly Russian symbols, or symbols of the Soviet Union  :) Rig, perfect for this role. But he is from Canada, and Rambo is from Arizona (USA). FINALLY some good looking Bayman costume mod and specially exposing his muscle arms. Great work ?

Do you plan any destructible costumes with Bayman? That the sleeves of the shirt explode, the vest or maybe in his other costumes that his shirt explode and fall off?

Man, what's the difference, where does any character come from according to the legend? The main thing is that he looks like the right role. I would not mind if Bayman played the role of Rambo, but he is more suitable for his role as Ivan Drago.
If you want, let him be Ivan Drago.
