AAF Porno Music

Some AAF animations don't have sounds, or maybe you removed the voices yourself to make them more conducive to same sex pairings. Maybe you just want to lighten up the way your sexual encounters in The Commonwealth feel.  What this very simple mod does is play a little cheezy 70s style porno music whenever an AAF animation starts. that's pretty much all there is to it.

 

New in 1.0.6

-Porno music now won't play for animations tagged with "Pose", or the sitting and sleeping animations in my other mod Crackle.

-The aggressive music will now play during, and soon after assault scenes in my other mod Hardship -Beggar - Whore -  regardless of how the animation itself is tagged.

-Fixed issue with music sometimes not ending (I hope)

-Fixed typo in MCM ?

-Tidied up scripts

 

FEATURES

  • Three funky tracks play randomly for vanilla sex anims
  • Two seperate tracks play during aggressive animations with more of a dark 80s vibe.
  • Each track fades out when the animation ends.

 

To toggle the mod's functionality Use the menu object which contains the extra functions as well, there is also a basic MCM which can also call the menu, if you have that.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Advanced Animation Framework and it's requirements

AAF Themes (or other XML mod that adds tags)

MCM (Optional)

 

INSTALLATION

Use a mod manager. I recommend Mod Organizer 2

Obviously this is best played with the main music volume turned all the way down, but you do you!

 

KNOWN ISSUES

If you are using Player voice frequency slider, or a similar mod that changes the player voice pitch, it will also affect the pitch and tempo of the porno music. However if you stick within their recommended safe range the effect doesn't really detract from this mod.

 

Note to those using "Polistro style" in Staged Leito Plus. or other XML sets with transition data. It's come to my attention that the Porno music will not play until the first transition is done on positions using transition data. IMO, this isn't a particularly bad thing. It's kind of immersive, but you should know that's why in some cases PM is waiting one stage to play. I don't believe it's due to AAF itself anymore.

I forgot to mention that AAF Themes is a requirement. I think it'll still work without it but the "Aggressive" music will never play. I'll update the OP ASAP. I hope this didn't cause anybody any problems.

 

I added the ability to toggle the music on and off without removing the mod. Sorry, you have to use a console command. It's against my principles to make an MCM for one lousy variable :)

I discovered a happy accident while testing my upcoming prostitution mod. If you are on Jet when the animation starts the music will play slow. This is trippy as hell and really goes with what I was hoping for in the other mod.

Just a reminder to everybody to set this esp after your main music mod in your load order.

 

Also the sound files can be changed to whatever wav file you rename and replace inside te audio folder of this mod. So this mod is even better. You cand adjust the mood of ur kinkyness.

Well if you look at my source, what I did here is use AAF's OnAnimationStart and OnAnimationStop events to play my music. This technique can be used to play sex sounds... I actually did so adding lapping sounds to Atomic Cunnilingus, and Rocket 69 in my upcoming mod Hardship, however... For anything more complicated than that you run into timing issues. IE: The thrusts won't line up with your "slap slap slap" sound etc... This is why the sounds are built into the animations... and unfortunately I know absolutely nothing about that.

 

Anyway Porno Music has only one script and it's pretty simple. Have a look at the source and that should give you some ideas.

I know with all you have on your plate, this mod is way down your to do list, but my only issue is that the track will often not shut off, even after the animation has stopped. My guess is that most of the random sex adventure mods always seem to be running scenes in the background. Any way to have a simple turn off command ,maybe a button set up in MCM?

Hmmm yeah That would do it. I don't use any of those "random npcs fuck autonomously" type mods so never even considered this possibility. 

 

The console command Set porno to 0 will shut off the function of playing the music (Set porno to 1 turns it back on) but won't stop the already playing sound. I assume if you saved and reloaded it would stop.

 

I'll think about if there is anything I can do.

 

Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I didn't get a notification and honestly I just now noticed we have a dedicated AAF forum now... LOL.

 

EDIT: I bashed my head against this for a while this morning and I am afraid there is no straight forward and practical way to do it that I am aware of...

It's surprisingly dumb the way sound playback works in the Creation engine.

 

Even if I could set up a menu setting to stop the music you'd still have the same problem as it'd just start again next time an NPC decided to fuck... Unless you disable Porno music with the console command, which is what I'd suggest you do if you wanna run those other mods that are causing the problem on an existing save that already has Porno music on it. Sorry.

 

If you are running survival mode and have no console use the mod survival options (which you should anyway)

 

EDIT: OF COURSE the second after I wrote that I figured out how to do it. I'll have  a new version posted with the menu ASAP.

Okay, @maddadicusrex

 

I have uploaded the new version. I did not add MCM support because that would be an absurd requirement for such a small thing. I did however add a menu clothing item just like the one in DLYH, and Hardship. Also being that you may need to use this often to turn on and off, the ring slot item on a favorite will be way faster than MCM. 

 

I tested it by making an NPC dance with the AAF shortcut button and was able to stop the music no problem so I assume this will do what you need :)

You will have to add the menu item with the console. The instructions are in the OP.

 

As long as I was making a menu, I went ahead and also added the ability to toggle the mod's functionality completely, and to play the 3 tracks whenever you like.

What's New in Version 1.0.4

This is the biggest update yet.

Improvements update:

-More efficient scripting

-Music will now change when switching between aggressive to non aggressive positions

-All aggressive tagged animations now supported (Requires Themes or other tag providing AAF XMLs like Indarello.)

Something seems to be really broken with this mod at the moment. I don't know why... It seemed to work right before I uploaded it. Has anybody else had problems with the music not stopping? 

 

You might want to stick with the old version.

 

EDIT:

 

I am going to remove 1.04 for the time being. It is unacceptably broken under certain conditions, and I don't have time to debug it right now. Sorry for any inconveniences this causes.

I totally love this mod. I have a humble request: Around every third time the music doesn't stop playing. Only way to get it back to normal is restarting the game which gets a little annoying. Is it possible to make a button in the MCM that sends some kind of event to stop it manually? I know you have worked your butt off for Hardship the last weeks but it would be really great to have this.

Weird, I've never had that problem, but I must admit the last version hasn't been that thoroughly tested. I need to update it cause there is a really dumb typo in the MCM anyway so I'll look into it when I'm done updating Crackle. 

 

Did the "Stop music" option in the menu item not work?

 

Do you remember if it was an aggressive or normal scene? That'll help me narrow it down.

UPDATE 1.0.6 IS UP!

 

 

It will now play the aggressive tracks during Hardship rape scenes (and immediately after) regardless of what tags the animation has. No more jarring back and forth when the raider is kissing you. :P

 

It also will no longer play music for positions tagged as pose, or the sitting or sleep animations added in the new Crackle.

 

I also fixed a bug that made it not stop playing sometimes.

I had the similar issue of music non-stopping, but on a very, very rare occasion (like.. maybe once in 50 load games or so). I can't be 100% sure, but if I recall some of the circumstances around it:

 

Once it was because of my fault - I was testing something with my mod and ended AAF scene prematurely (via admin panel hotkey). It is important, though, that normally this never caused issues and musics stops just fine

With BW - sometimes I notice that AAF scenes don't "end" properly leaving the empty scene in "UNJOINING" phase. In this case music also seems to not stop, but - first, it is also not consistent and second - I had this with older BW version (1.5.9B) and didn't test it with latest update to BW that you've made (also, the empty scene doesn't cause any visible issues nor does it hinder the gameplay and can only be seen if opening AAF panel via hotkey and trying to do anything there)

 

All in all - this is a very neat mod that enhances gameplay experience and a permanent place in a load order. Cheers!

This Unjoining thing seems to be a problem with the newer AAFs (After 110) I think it seems to happen when there are several events in a row (Like the raiders in Hardship) I complained about it to dagobaking but he always wants you to build some kind of testing doohickey pseudo mod thingy  that also for that extra convenience factor has to be safe for work... I have no idea how to do that nor the time to do so. Hopefully eventually somebody who does can demonstrate it for him. This bug also prevents you from changing position with the pgup and pgdn keys.

 

Anyway I added an extra command that will definitely end the music as long as the "OnAnimationStop" event fires (which it should from the AAF hotkey as well), and if it doesn't stop it isn't THIS mod's fault, :) so should be good now.
