Crazy Doll Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 Well. DirectX updated, i tried Both versions, x32 & x64. i allso tried .ini trick. Nothing works. I mean "home" or "9" key don't open reshade console but still do the wall trick ingame. I prolly doing something wrong but i don't know what. I just give up. Nvm on your screens and video it looks cool.
Cul Posted January 15, 2019 Author Posted January 15, 2019 Oh, well I can help you install it, we should get it going in a few mins, if you are just missing a small thing. Hit you in DMs?
Crazy Doll Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 I followed steps you gave in OP. - Updated DX - Dl and extracted the "game" file in the sims 4 folder. - Replaced th reshade.ini in bin folder since my keyboard don't have "home" key like on photo i posted here on 1rst page. In game when i press the "9" key it just do the regular game command, Did it with both versions. What could i missed?
Cul Posted January 15, 2019 Author Posted January 15, 2019 Oh right when you open TS4, do you see the Reshade gray box on top? If you see it, you have it installed, and its just a different keyboard. If you don't see it, it is not installed, hm sec taking a screen
Cul Posted January 15, 2019 Author Posted January 15, 2019 Yea like this If you dont see it, then it's not the key, but Reshade might just be in a different folder Can you take a screen of your Bin folder? When I helped my sister install it, she had it in programfiles (x86)/Origin, and we had to try both (it was 64x ha)
Cul Posted January 15, 2019 Author Posted January 15, 2019 Solved! will add two screens to main download hah, should have done that in the first place... Lol does paint make it look professional.
Crazy Doll Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 Testing this reshade and can say result is really sweet. Really like tones. For screenshots, it's really awesome. I'm just a bit bothered the reshade impact game UI too, makes it a bit too bright for me. Spoiler If it's a normal thing, is there a way to modify this? I specify i'm a noob and i'm just discovering tis mod (first time i use a reshade) it may exist a setting for that. Anyway thanks to @Cul spending his time to solve my issue. 1
Cul Posted January 15, 2019 Author Posted January 15, 2019 Oh, you can tick Vignette, to turn on a grey circle around the UI. Hm did I really make it too bright. Maybe my eyes are busted hah, also try changing both Luma sliders a bit, to change the light/contrast.
Cul Posted January 23, 2019 Author Posted January 23, 2019 I have to replace all the screenshots and vids. Meanwhile you can hav this. See it corrects blue light, colors back to de-saturated midtones + light curves 1
Cul Posted January 24, 2019 Author Posted January 24, 2019 Haha great, man. Are you also tryin other effects? Like Bloom sandwiched between LUTs, I was trying it with removie, but think that's a lot of effects already hah
Chipendale Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 I usually do try switching each effects on and off to see what's it like, and sometimes the results are interesting. However, while I do try your new stuff each time there's an update I always end up going back to the HD-whatever-you-wanna-call-it version and its files, with some additional effects turned on.
Cul Posted January 24, 2019 Author Posted January 24, 2019 Ha what LUT was that in the end? I should add it if you like it that much ha. Technically I can add all my previous LUTs to the same download, but I haven't sorted to see which ones were different enough / or had some clipping issues. Oh "the first LUT", hm I will check it out and add it
Cul Posted January 24, 2019 Author Posted January 24, 2019 Done! Added that LUT to MultiLUT and renamed the preset in the folder hah. Hope that was it.
Chipendale Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 Woah, thanks dood ? With the additional effects of AdaptiveSharpen, Vignette, Vibrance, HDR, and LiftGammaGain you'll get what I've been running with for a good while now. Won't be to everyone's liking, but I frickin' love it.
Cul Posted January 24, 2019 Author Posted January 24, 2019 Ohm, share it if you change to the download, and I will just replace the preset hah. Adaptive is better than Luma, but Luma was lightest one hah. Other effects are rly light too. Are you making it more colorful ha
Chipendale Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 During day it's pretty colorful, yeah. It still has a dark tone overall, if that makes any sense, so it's not all super bright. And during night time it's dark and creepy, hard to see around unless you're in a lit room.
Cul Posted January 24, 2019 Author Posted January 24, 2019 Ah you dont have to check all the values again if you change to download, just keep the .ini preset you're using, then just use MultiLUT instead of LUT, third to last lut (think it says sepia, haven't changed default names ha). Then just drag the .ini here to share it.
Chipendale Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 Sorry for the delay, I've been busy with REmake 2. I've havn't touched any of your settings at all, only added the effects I mentioned above. But here's the file anyways. (file outdated so removed)
bethiedoll Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 hello where do I put the directx .Any help appreciated

After you've downloaded the file from provided link, extract it to a location of your own choosing (preferably in a new folder somewhere.) Check the folder and click the DXSETUP.exe file. Let it do its thing and you should be done.
bethiedoll Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 hi smartfilter wont let my download reshade 4.1 and I reshade 3.08 installed already.do I uninstall this thx

Cul Posted January 29, 2019 Author Posted January 29, 2019 Oh hey there. Yes, like Chip says, ha he's so helpful... Some stuff happened irl, ha I should add Chips... You can also just not replace Reshade.ini, d3d9.dll (untick those two and replace rest), and you will keep Reshade 3.
