Need Troubleshooting Help (Update Once More: Almost Working!)

I have got Horny Creatures working. I have Yiffy working (though it still has the same problem as before; some of the now-furried races use a normal human peen model instead of an animal peen. Even though other races use animal peen just fine)

I am trying SL defeat right now.

So my only main problem is:

I still get flicker!
I THINK it happens near bodies of water, like the game of offsetting me and thinks I am submerging and popping up rapidly, even though I am on dry land! The weay I put away anything wielded and pull it back out seems to confirm this.

But it ALSO will just lock in drawing/sheathing loops, or attack loops.

I have tried various tweaks to BethINI but it still happens. I am lost on this one.

How to install FNIS with NMM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okYUSut0C2A

Also make sure you have the correct FNIS version for SE.

DL the FNIS creature pack also.

I have the FNIS creature pack. Maybe my error was checking 'yes' to 'this file is already being used by another mod'

I'll unload every mod and reload them.

But that does not help me remember what I check in FNIS. Only the skeleton fix?

And why can't it find FNIS creature pack? It's right there, but as a zip.

So I have to ask again; do I unzip these mods? Because NMM found the mods just fine as zips, but FNIS seems not too

Edit: yeah, even after re-enabling every mod and picking 'do not overwrite', FNIS still says 'Creature Pack Not Installed'.

I guess I HAVE to unzip FNIS creature pack?

I mean, here's proof I have FNIS creatures pack. I don't know why FNIS is not finding it:

Anyone? All I need to know right now is why FNIS is not finding FNIS creatures. You can see on the mod list that it IS there.

Do I unzip it?

Posted

you dont need to unzip anything, thats why you use NMM^^

what skeleton do you have installed, I cant see any in your load order or in mods

you need XPMSE

and to run FNIS you use GenerateFNISforUser.exe

from: Skyrim/data/tools/generateFNIS_for_users

check at least in FNIS the skeleton arm fix (patch)

The first screenshot show the suggested order, which I changed my order too.

The second screenshot shows all the mods.

I don't have a skeleton installed, but using FNIS makes it says 'Creature Pack Not Installed' so something is wrong, because you can see in the second screenshot that I HAVE FNIS creature pack. So why is FNIS not finding it?

And if it's not FNIS, what's keeping Skyrim SE from launching properly when I launch SKSE?

Edit: I installed the skeleton you linked. What else do I need to do? How do I make FNIS find FNIS creatures?

Edit again: Weird. Unzipping FNIS creatures and it STILL says it can't find Creature Pack..

your missing a requirement for one of your mods, thats why you cant start skyrim

and one of those missing requirements is XPMSE

because sexlab and creature animations need an actor skeleton

thats where your FNIS errors come from

Posted

Requirements for sexlab:

----- Requirements -------------------------------------------------------------

Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE) REQUIRES SKSE 1.7.3 OR NEWER

Fores New Idles in Skyrim (FNIS) REQUIRES FNIS 5.4.2 OR NEWER

  • FNIS Creature Pack version 5.2 or newer is required only if you want creature animation support in SexLab, otherwise it is not required.
  • If you get a warning in game about not having 5.2 installed despite having installed it. You have without exception, installed it incorrectly. You can either ignore the warning and keep using SexLab like normal if everything working anyway, or do the smart thing and figure out what's wrong with your FNIS install so the warning will leave you alone.

SkyUI REQUIRES VERSION 5.0 OR NEWER

  • If you dislike SkyUI for some reason, you can also install SkyUI-Away on top of it.
  • It may work fine with older versions if you refuse to upgrade to 5.0 for whatever reason. You do so at your own risk.

An actor skeleton mod such as XPMSE2 or XPMSE3

Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Patch OR the individual applicable patches Skyrim, Dawnguard, Dragonborn, and Hearthfire Unofficial Patch

  • This is not a hard requirement and can be skipped, it has been known to fix some problems people have had related to SexLab however and there is little to no reason to not be using them anyway.
  • If you choose to not use the Unofficial Patches for whatever reason, expect to be browbeat about not having them when posting your load order in the troubleshooting section.

I have XPM32 Maximum Skeleton installed now. Could it be because my FNIS is 7.2 32 bit?

FNIS still says it can't find animal pack.

This is all to run Horny Creatures:

your NMM says Skyrim Special Edition (SSE)

are we talking about skyrim LE or SSE?

you posted your issue in a LE tech topic

It's Skyrim Special Edition.

I was hoping to use all these mods with SSE and I will be sad if I have to uninstall SSE and install vanilla Skyrim to make it all work. x.x

Posted

as far as I know More Nasty Critters isnt for SSE yet

and you dont need to deinstall SSE to use LE

you can use both

I am stuck with LE, so you will need to do a little research what is working already with SSE

my bad I didnt read your first post intensively enough

and here is your FNIS SE

uh, dont tell me you installed all mods for LE and hoped they just work on SSE? ^^

I did, because I was told, and I quote 'Many of the mods that haven't been converted yet work with SE anyway'

Edit: Oh well, uninstalled Skyrim SE and trying it all with vanilla skyrim (I did not recall getting all the DLC, which was my hurdle last time I wanted to mod it; I lacked Dawnguard)

Someone's going to ask all the basic questions so it might as well be me. First, are you sure that all mods that you now have and are using are LE and not SE (you did just change you said). This is particularly true of the creature mods including the FNIS creature pack. Did you remember to activate creature animations in SexLab? It looks like the correct skeleton.

Are you using an ENB? If so, which one? Using anything else to affect your graphics? Have you adjusted your .ini files per the STEP guide or used Bethini or both?

Posted

i have no clue about NMM, but why is there a hand with a red stripe over XPMSE? Skeleton not properly installed is one of the three main reasons animations don't work. The other too are FNIS isn't installed properly or not executed, and users didn't enable (creatures in) sexlab.

Well..I think they are for LE. I mean, it was not working at all with SE (Skyrim would quietly crash on bootup) so I could only assume they were LE.

I did activate the creature animations after activating SexLab (It was a simple checkbox, IIRC)

I do not know what ENB is, and what is this STEP guide? If you mean load order, I put the windows side-by-side and make sure my load order 100% matches what Horny Creatures says it should be.

Edit: And nothing should be affecting my graphics..except maybe refresh rate. This is a 144htz monitor..Could that do it for the flickering?

We need to get you through some basics before some unkind person comes along. LE (Legendary Edition) and SE (Special Edition) are, for all practical purposes, two different games. The names sound alike, they look alike to someone looking at the screen but their "guts" are different (32 bit vs. 64 bit). With a few exceptions a mod that is designed for one game can not be used in the other unless it has been converted (there is an entire thread here on LL to keep up with the mods that have been converted from LE to SE). Therefore, you need to go back through ALL your mods (including tools like SKSE and FNIS) and be certain that they are all for the version that you are using (LE if your post is accurate). Until you have done that you are likely to continue to have problems of one sort or another.

The Skyrim Total Enhancement Program is a Wiki that gives the basics of all the "technical" adjustments that you can (and should) make to Skyrim to improve your performance (including things like how rivers look). It can be found here:

https://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:2.10.0

Go through at least the CORE and follow the suggestions they make. After you have done that and checked your mods (as I suggested above) come back if you are still having issues.

From what I understand, LE = Origonal Skyrim & SE = Special Edition?

Since the mods were not working with SE (Again, caused Skyrim to just quietly crash), I can only assume Horny Creatures is for LE only?

I'll give the wiki a read but I'm admittedly slow when it comes to this stuff. I thought it was as easy as installing NMM, installing the mods, and running them in the proper load order

That's only partly true. If you keep a relatively small load order and get the basic tools you give yourself lots of room to maneuver. You might get by without going into great detail. However, the more mods you use, particularly those with scripts and animations, the more you need all the help you can get. Remember, Bugthesda did not make Skyrim with Horny Creatures (HCOS) in mind. It required the genius of SKSE, FNIS, SexLab and many others to even make it possible. So, if you want a Skyrim game that functions smoothly with several layers of mods on it you might want to get all the edge that you can get.

Yes, LE (actually means Legendary Edition) is the original Skyrim. To make certain that all the mods you have that you got from Nexus are LE simply go to Nexus and load Skyrim (NOT Skyrim SE) and download all the versions of the mods that you want. Here on LL you will have to be a little more careful. As a rule, all SE mods will have SE or Special Edition in their title. If they do not, they are LE. It is those that you want. However, there are places that can bite you in the ass. For instance, you seem to have the correct skeleton, XPMSE by Groovtama. However, if you go his modpage here on LL you will find that both the SE and LE versions are in the same place. You have to make certain that, when you go to the downloads, you pick the LE (unmarked) version and not the SE (appropriately marked) version.

I just doubled checked; I did not grab Special Edition of XPMSE. it is LE.

But I'm still baffled as to why FNIS is saying 'Creature Pack not installed'
Something tells me this is part of the problem. But I guess step one is keeping the game from flickering, THEN fixing the not-loading animations.

Hmm..Could this be a problem? Look at the char on the lower right:

Plus, even sex animations with people are not looking. Ugh, this is going to make doing the furry mod a nightmare. Plus I eventually want to earn gold via whoring/slutting. :P

But first thing is first: Getting these animations to WORK.
