INTRODUCTION:

Thanks for showing some interest in this mod. This is part of a much larger mod with many more features, however since I’ve never actually released a mod before I wanted to put out something smaller so I can hopefully learn from any mistakes in this mod.


What this means for you is that you will want a backup of your save game, and I apologise in advance for any hard crashes. In my testing I see no papyrus errors, and I have tested this in a brand new install on a different PC. 

 

 

 

 

FEATURES, OR WHAT DO IT DO:

 

 

First thing you will want to know is that only the packs named in the requirements are automatic, I haven’t scripted to read out of JSON files, I let Slavetats itself do that.

 

 

This mod when enabled will automatically apply as per settings you can specify. Out of the box it is only configured to apply stockings to female NPC actors, but the tattoo packs above are available via MCM to turn on as you wish. You can decide to have up to 6 tattoos per NPC, and through dialogue you can remove and prevent actors from having tattoos. Lastly, you can select an option to only use a single random pack, so a NPC will only have 6 Deviant tattoos, or 2 slutty tattoos etc. 

 

 

Note: if you allow 6 random tattoos and leave stockings on, yeah. I might put that on a list of changes, but for now theoretically you could end up with 6 stockings. Just change your settings, talk to the NPC, forbid and remove tats, then talk again and let them have tattoos to reset.

 

 

CAVEATS:

 

 

Obviously I’m new to the scene so at worst my scripts may not fire in your game.  I was unable to get the Slavetats multi-tattoo application working across multiple packs etc. Instead, there is a queue system whereby as you run around it generates tattoos for all the actors, then applies the queue, clearing it as you go. It’s also not going to work until your initial load order / scripts have all fired, so it may take a couple of minutes before you start noticing actors get tattooed / stockings.

 

 

KNOWN ISSUES:

 

There is a tattoo that turns players blue, I have added a debug that will name tattoo’s when added as I didn’t find which one it was but I’m fairly confident it’s in the Deviant pack so if you're worried leave that one off.

Edit: My apologies for an update purely to the description but I was not comfortable with the previous depiction of the mod I am working on. Work continues on my next project, and a major story rewrite has been completed in the past couple of weeks to remove lower quality writing as much dialogue was initially written as setup to what was effectively a learning experience rather than as a cohesive story.  Characters that were inconsistent are much closer to their planned behaviour.  I have removed the description as I may end up removing the "jump the shark" section and releasing separately since it was just a "what features never made it from Oblivion that I might be able to have a crack at" and has nothing to do with the characters in the mod.

To hopefully dismiss some of your worries the scripts seem to work just fine. I stripped all female npc's in riften and everything was being applied rather quickly as well and i have a rather script heavy load order(afaik). I cant wait to try out that mod your working on it sounds absolutely amazing!

Everything seems to work and be stable, no issues to report in the couple of hours I tried it out, even with a fairly heavy mod load.

I'm not sure if you're open to suggestion on how to improve the Mod, but I'd suggest seeing if you can included an option which tattoos to use from the selected packs. B3lisario-stockings, for example, has the Chain-mail bodysuit, which i wish was not part of the randomized pool, if you catch my drift.

Anyway, whatever you plan on doing with it, i'm keeping my eye on this mod with keen interest.

Thanks for the feedback, inspiration may strike on an efficient way to add selection per tattoo, but in the meanwhile the [Tattoo] dialogue will let you remove and reapply randomly. I have not tested, but deleting the entries out of the JSON file should not make my mod error and I suspect Slavetats can gracefully handle a bad pass so no tattoo would be applied but the actor would not get stockings either unless using the dialogue again.

As for being reviewed, credit goes to the Slavetats author, murfk, and the talented people who created the tattoo packs. Their work is the inspiration for anything I've done and what will interest people.  Still, thankyou for your kind words.

Obviously this tattoo mod was a side product, a test, which sprung out of my main mod and allowed me to test that it wasn't just going to work on my PC. However, after MXR (love that guy, no disrespect!) started reviewing adult mods, it forced me to have a think about a) was I going to push forward, and b) if I did, was I happy to present my work to a wider audience than this community. I have had cold feet about that.

 

Summary of new additions: 

  • Added new area for improving relationship with main characters (lot of work done and planned on Raven's development)
  • I added a new spell that only shows the conversation topic when people are under the effect, for flavour and to match better the story
  • I rewrote the story, tightened it up a lot, made the characters work together, uncheesed the dialogue, removed most of my testing sex scenes
  • Added a bunch of events to happen on various days as the game moves on, provided you visit the inn
  • Debugged. A lot. Fixed a ton of AI issues
  • Worked on some scenes, modified my suggestion for starting area to the college including modifying the college quest to work
  • Expanded total slaves, added new slave types and roles
  • Added new quest to start down Raven's painting career, bust into the market, give her a pseudonym etc
  • Added new quest to hire an alchemist to begin working on potions to make slave work easier (change skills, faster training/breaking etc)

 

Obviously some cons:

  • The spell I added for flavour to only show conversation topic when spell is on victim doesn't load into the game, lol. Mod is effectively broken (easy rollback, but I'd rather get it working!)
  • Going to cut further work on the bestiality, reasons below*
  • Kinda broke some AI
  • Think one of my repeatable quests is unfixable at this point at my skill level, RIP merchant paying for specific skilled slaves

 

I don't want to be misleading, though. It's not abandoned, but I've hit a wall and stopped until I get some inspiration. The best way I can explain it is, I want to wrap up the chapter 1, release it and see if people suggest directions for characters. I got to a point where I was struggling to determine where the first chapter should end. I've played some games that ended at very unsatisfactory points, and I hate cliff hangers. I've rewritten the story, significantly improved the writing (imho, I'm not the best), and I've introduced the characters I'm interested in developing further. I've got to a point where there's a relationship with the main person, added a very basic follower, and given other characters backgrounds that could springboard them out to multiple possible directions.

 

There's a large task I wanted included in Chapter 1, but it required another deep dive into code, script, dialogue and gameplay.  I feel I 'need' to push this to Chapter 2, it might be the major feature of the first update.  The last major thing I can think of aside from the huge "wrap", is to finish my debug menus.  Shouldn't take long or even hold up release, it's just a large task.

 

I'll do a playthrough of its current state and maybe just bite the bullet if I don't hate it and upload it and stand by for the bugs.  Not making a promise, don't want to be misleading, but I will see where it's at. I know right now it simply doesn't work coz that spell won't show! Should be 'easy' to fix, just a couple hours of stepping through it.

*I could never get Beastess to work, ever, on any PC I've owned, to this day the fire atronach does not activate. So aside from the guided experience in Bestial Essence I never really saw any mods that recreated what Lovers Bitch did in Oblivion. I wanted to create something that gave a basic replication of that (sorry if the original authors feel like I'm plagiarising, consider it a tribute to your great work!).

 

However, while modding the gameplay and scripting it I realised I had zero interest in it.

Thanks for more insight into the mod still seems very interesting. Do you still plan on adding beast related content in the future if you find the inspiration loved  Lovers Bitch aswell and would love to see something similar in skyrim?

Aight, aight.  It's been a few years in BETA, I remember chopping this out of my main mod as like a "if this works, so does my mod" but I've learned a lot about mods since then.  Given this literally writes stuff to actors as it goes I have a FEELING this may not be good for save game file sizes but I see a lot of conflicting information about recent SKSE changes meaning strings aren't the end of the world any more...

 

Guess I should see if I can find the dependencies, make sure this works and make a SSE edition since I don't even play LE any more.

... Could you make it possible to put the titkit slavetat on an NPC?
