For some reason I went through the day and all I could think about was: what video games would I like next? Well after naming too many to remember at one time, I decided to create a list, and I then I decided to share it on LL, and then I decided that I'd like to know your wanted games as well!

 

So I made two lists, the first was for announced games that haven't been released yet, the second is for games that are already out that I want to get. Here are my lists:

 

Unreleased games:

1. Skyrim

2. Dark Souls

3. Prey 2

4. Halo CEA

5. Halo 4

6. Battlefield 3

7. ARMA 3

8. Mass Effect 3

9. Assassins Creed Revelations

10. Guild Wars 2

11. Full version of Minecraft

 

Released games:

1. OoT

2. M&B + M&B Warband

3. The Witcher Enhanced Edition

4. The Witcher 2 Assassins of Kings

5. Red Dead Redemption

6. GTA IV

7. Shogun 2 Total War

8. Deus Ex: Human Revolution

9. Crysis

10. Crysis 2

 

Those are mine so far.

If you finally get one of the games then type something like *DONE* or *PURCHASED* next to the game.

 

Quick notes, notice how I mention almost all of the new upcoming big hits that are being released except for GoW3 and MW3.

About GoW, I've never played them, they seem interesting but I never got in to them, I have nothing against them.

As for MW3, unless they show us something fucking BADASS then I might actually consider buying this. But all i've seen so far is the same recycled gameplay with a BIT better graphics and nothing else. Even the trailer had nothing interesting (camping, sniping, noob tubing, CAMPING etc) so I have no intentions of buying that.

Oh and laugh all you want at me not even owning Ocarina of Time, I know I'm a total failure for not playing it, but I'll get to it eventually.

AC: Revelations

Skyrim, but I'm waiting till GOTY

Probably Half-Life 2 ep.3, though the final fight from ep. 2 is murdering me.

 

Released:

AC:Brotherhood

Portal 2, preferably with the Razer Hydra.

 

Well, that's about it. I don't tend to buy any new games, unless I really want to have them.

I simply will not buy anything that requires any sort of online activation or permission to install and/or use, so Skyrim is out. Pretty much just waiting to see if X: Rebirth has this shitty form of DRM. If it does, I'm switching to Linux full-time. Otherwise, I'll buy and play that for a while, THEN I'll switch to Linux.

EDIT: Will be receiving Gears of War 3 today since I had it pre-ordered. Also, I could list a few more wanted games but meh... Makes me look like a tool.

Yes it's a small list, but very few thing grab attention anymore.

Also they tend to only be RPG's, so I'm not a mainstream gamer.

Dragon Age 2 is really crapy game.

I really DON'T recommend buying it.

I bought it and now I regret its simple hack & slash for console and have nothing to do with orginal Dragon Age Origins.

Lol thanks for the warning' date=' but it's fine. I've read a few reviews about the game and I'm well aware of how "different" it is from the first. Besides, I'm sort of a masochist and am willing to play games that most people normally would stay away from. Case in point, I'm one of the few that actually bought (and kept) Golden Axe: Beast Rider, and we all know how much people hate that game, yet I found it both challenging and enjoyable. Too bad there wasn't much of a reason to replay it other than seeing the character in her original, skimpy outfit.

I have the game and it's definitely worth it. Mortal Kombat 9 is the best reiteration of the game by far. Great visuals, complete "story" mode encompassing the original MK trilogy, unique characters (especially the DLCs and console exclusives), and gratifying bone-crunching sound if you play it on a surround sound home theater like I do.

Yeah I'm a huge fan of the MK Lore (I think it's one of the best out of fighting games). I even watched all the cutscenes on youtube :D.

@ d2vis: Are you seriously looking forward to Diablo III? I dunno... Initially, I wanted the game but after seeing trailers and tracking its development I've lost interest. The game just lacks a certain appeal that made Diablo I and II both intriguing and successful. I mean, to put it in layman's terms, Diablo III is like a poor attempt at making Warcraft scary. It's way too colorful and bright so much so that the violence and gore seems totally out of place IMO. I also mention Warcraft specifically because of how the meshes and textures look. And last but not least, Blizzard took way too long in releasing this game. To me, it's like another Duke Nukem Forever. I guess for people who've never played Diablo or are simply die-hard fans of the series should get Diablo III, but as for me, not so much.

Yup thats me right here :D. I never played any game like Diablo, but I enjoy action type rpgs. My friend who is a big diablo fan, said has the same opinions as you do after he watched the trailer and other videos. Regardless we're both going to get it :rolleyes:

No no, don't get me wrong. If you guys are really interested in the game by all means go ahead. :) I was just saying my opinion based on having played Diablo I (briefly) and Diablo II (thoroughly), that after watching trailers for Diablo III it just didn't "feel" the same. I guess it's the same way how people reacted to Dungeon Siege III in which, to them, it wasn't like the first two games, but for me I wouldn't know what they're talking about since I've never played any Dungeon Siege game and that's why I'm interested in getting it whenever I get the chance.

 

Who knows, if there are enough decent reviews for Diablo III I might buy it, too. But for now, it just isn't on my priority for wanted games.

 

Oh, and like Digital I'm also looking forward to TERA but for some reason I didn't think this thread included MMORPGs so I never listed it lol.

Kind of like how I (and other, more hardcore, C&C-fans. I came pretty late to the party) felt about Tiberium Dusk. It just isn't the series it's supposed to be. If they'd have released it under another name (not C&C), with another back-story (or none at all), it would probably have turned out fine. Now, by publishing it as a C&C-game, instead of making an easy buck, like they thought they would, they effectively alienated almost all of what was left of the fanbase after Red Alert 3 happened.
