LazyBikiniArmor

TLDR:  Configurable in-game applicator of armor from The Amazing World of Bikini Armor and Bikini Ascend SE mods.

Note - New version for The Amazing World of Bikini Armor REMASTERED can be found here.

DISCLAIMER: This mod manages about 500 pieces of armor all added and set up manually. Testing every possible combination isn't possible so please consider it a very work-in-progress WIP project with no guarantees or warranty regarding safety or function. Make sure to read the entire description before deciding to use it and do not run it on that super important save you have no backups for or expect the mod to be uninstallable without problems either immediately or down the road.

Quick start

  1. Install mod
  2. That's it

Now whenever you encounter random female enemies like bandits most of them will be wearing bikini armor. If you want to make it so fewer has it or remove certain parts read on below.

Configuration

Setting bikinization outfit chance to 100% issues everyone matching the criteria (see "Npc Selector below") bikini armor, set it lower if you want it to be more rare.

Increasing a slot's risk to 100% means the pieces covering that area will never be applied, useful to disable helmets to show faces or manage slot conflict with other mods like Devious Devices or Schlongs of Skyrim.

Outfit variety

The mod selects a random piece from all the available options for each slot. Combined with the risk of a piece missing entirely this assures encountering two NPCs wearing the exact same outfit is very low.

Excluded items

Four or five full coverage chest pieces and helmets

The steel "bunny ears" headgear

NPC Selector

The mod has three different modes

Enemies only = Only non-unique NPCs hostile to the player are outfitted.

Non unique only = Only non-unique NPCs hostile OR not are outfitted

ALL = Everyone including named NPCs, followers, their sisters and that distant cousin they no longer talk to. USE WITH CAUTION, WILL REMOVE EXISTING WORN ARMOR

Besides the above a few extra checks are done to make sure only the right people get to look absolutely fabulous

NOT in combat (prevent outfit switching mid-fight)

HAS one of the default female voicetypes (excludes custom/important NPCs + makes sure the armor is only applied to females)

HAS at least one armor piece worn with the ArmorLight, ArmorHeavy or ArmorClothing keywords

Armor matching

Mod will replace the worn armor with a matching bikini based on what they're wearing on the body/slot 4 (generally chest piece) location. E.g, someone wearing steel cuirass, iron gloves, elven boots and leather helm would get a steel bikini set.

There are a couple of exceptions though:

  • Only Nords get Nord plate
  • Only Orcs get Orc armor
  • Only NPCs in the Thalmor faction get Thalmor clothing *
  • Only NPCs in the Blades faction get Blades armor **
  • Only NPCs in the Companions faction get Wolf armor **
  • No one might get Falmer armor since AFAIK there are no female NPCs wearing it in the vanilla game

* - Only works if the player is an enemy to the Thalmor faction or "Enemies only" is unchecked

** - Most if not all (?) NPCs in these factions are unique so bikinis may never be assigned

As of 0.11.0 there is also the option "Default outfits" that assign a standard outfit to NPCs wearing armor that doesn't have a true bikini equivalent. There are two exceptions however, Imperial NPCs will always get steel outfits. Stormcloaks nord armor. If you have a mod that add custom gear to either of these it's recommended to turn this option off to avoid unbalancing it.

Notes

  • NPCs that have been scanned can't be scanned again until the player has left the area and the game unloaded them from memory. This to prevent situations where leaving and immediately returning to an area makes someone appear to changed an entire suit of armor in seconds.
  • If you want to test your settings there are NPCs included for each armor type. Just type "help mjoll" in console and pick whichever clone of her you want to test. Tip - run "resurrect" on the NPC to randomize a new outfit.
  • A full set of bikini armor will cover most of the available slotmasks so make sure any other mod reserving one or more are properly configured to avoid issues such as armor being removed/hidden or the body turning invisible.
  • The outfit is assigned directly to the NPC, not the ActorBase it's spawned from so anyone else placed by it will not "inherit" the outfit.
  • The NPC selection is done with the _TAWoBANPCScanner quest so if you want to remove or add restrictions it's easy to do in the CK or with SSEEdit by just changing the conditional checks on the aliases it contains.
  • The only thing modified on the NPCs are their outfits, no scripts are attached, no factions modified etc. Worst case if things fail is ending up with a bunch of armed, angry and naked females charging at you.
  • Mod actions are prefixed with "TAWoBa" in the papyrus log.

Known issues

  • The outfit-check is triggered whenever the player is switching cells OR location. If the NPCs aren't present when this happens due to script lag or spawn quests still working they wont be processed.
  • NPC already assigned bikini armor from other mods will still have an outfit assigned (there's no ArmorBikini or similar keyword to check for the NPC selector).
  • Make sure to verify any problems with the test NPCs, in an unmodded game if necessary, to rule out interference from other mods.

Might do's

Levelbased assignment - Settings are modified on level up making both outfits and parts more common (and enemies tougher) automagically.

Boss or boss chest loot only option - Provided there's a simple way to detect/add it to them

Manual option - Hotkey to assign a bikini outfit to targeted NPC without restrictions

I would like to know if theirs a requirements needed for it or everything is already in it.

As mentioned you need to install both The Amazing World of Bikini Armor and Bikini Ascend Vol 1, this mod just links to the items. Beyond that SKSE64 + SkyUI for the menu system.

Yes. The armor pieces are found by their id. These are likely different in the Oldrim bikini versions so the armor lists would have to be recreated for it to, theoretically, work.

I'm pretty sure that the ID's should be the same, because no one is remaking the mod from scratch for another version of the game.

It will be good if someone makes an LE version.

BTW, how about dead NPC? Does your scanner scan them?

Well, if anyone have LE set up with the bikinis feel fee to give it a shot. While not recommended (ever) for gameplay a simple menu mod like this with no meshes or textures can generally be loaded fine in LE to do some quick tests. If that's the case it might be possible to use TES5Edit to copy at least the lists to a proper LE form esp.

There's no live-check in the selector so corpses should get outfitted too. Don't know if corpses stay "IsHostileToActor" player beyond the grave so the enemies only option might have to be unchecked.

I know I know but from what it sounded like it already had the pieces in when i first read it. I'm used to seeing a small area that says "requirements:". That is what only confused me at the start.

It can work for oldrim too i'm trying it on it.

My only problem but i think it's my hdt acting wierd is sometime actors that fight just stretches to infinity. But thats a whole different story.

Hmm that area shows fine here, make sure you don't have an overzealous ad blocker hiding more than it should.

HDT acting up is often due to uncapped fps or incompatible skeleton. If the game crashes when testing try moving to a less populated area first, adding HDT enabled armor on many NPCs at once puts a lot of strain on the old engine.

Hello LazyGril, thank you for this amazing mod

I found a mistake about the NPC who wear the Dwarven Bikini, the slot 52 was set to Dragon Thong, not a Dwarven Thong

Cheers, nice find. I don't have time to make an official fix right now but here's an unofficial untested fix courtesy of SSEEdit for anyone who can't wait.

the hdt is a whole different story that's just unneeded usually just the game using too much strings or w/e. for it to work on you need to find the oldrim version which says (wip) for some reason.

This would be great option... By the way so far I have tested it works in Oldrim will update after I check more places out.

Update:

This does work in Oldrim even with a shit ton of mods however, as always you must have a stable game before I recommend any install that changes armor as it could affect frame rate or CTD if you rig cannot handle it. I seen  in game on other NPCS ebony, steel all flavors, hide, leather and Nordic plate. Great tool overall highly recommend if you want to bring sexy back enter song lol.

I really love this one.
I just wanted to NPC wear TWOBA. One possible candidate is replacer. But it means that various kinds of bikinis would be fixed to only one and others won't show in the game.

This is the answer. Just exactly what I've wanted.

Thanks a lot.

And is it possible to add not only TWOBA. Also to other armor, clothing mod ? Or please give me some advice.

Yes it's possible to add more wearables. The core functionality isn't dependent on any specific armor or clothing mod. It just reads the outfits to apply from the list set up for the detected armor type. Adding armor or clothing from other mods wouldn't require much more than just add those items to these lists.

I don't have any plans to add support for more mods at the moment though.  It's a too big a project for me currently since if I do I'd like to make it "properly".
That means removing the hard dependency on the bikini mods and rewrite LazyBikiniArmor into a generic framework so any armor or clothing mod/author can register their outfits without having to deal with setting up lists themselves and the hassle of possible conflicts/balance. Just let the players use the framework to set up how they want everything distributed themselves.

Hello, I tried using the mod but none of the NPCs was wearing the bikini pieces. It might be a compatibility issue but I'm uncertain. Is this compatible with mods that change certain NPC templates, like OBIS bandits mod or DeserterX's Legendary Armors (which replaces some items worn by NPC bandits)?

That depends, if those mods adds their outfits by editing the NPC records so they spawn with them already worn - no. But if they have some system that scans and applies them in game it's possible that action might happen later and "overwrite" the outfits from this mod. Though I haven't heard of any other mod doing that.

Try setting the bikinization chance to 100%, the risk of individual pieces missing to 0% and the target to everyone. If no one gets the armors then, not even those untouched by your bandit mods, that would at least verify if the problems is with individual NPCs or something more fundamental.

I just can't get this mod working. I do have high leveled enemies and the wench series of mods bashed together but judging by the description I don't think those should conflict. I do see some enemies with bikini armor, perhaps 1 out of 10 bandits. does it maybe not scan characters added from mods?

Edit: I honestly can't tell what is wrong. It's not the modded NPC thing like I said before, I uninstalled everything that has anything to do with modifying enemies and I got it to work once but I haven't been able to get it going again. kudos for making a good mod, but my build is too shit for it to work for me.

The benefit of applying the armor in game instead of editing is that it avoids all the possible problems of mods overwriting the outfits and from where the NPC is from. As long as the target passes the conditional check it's eligible for bikini armor. Well, that's the idea anyhow.

Try the settings I mentioned a couple of posts up to target all NPCs + activate "Default outfits" and set one for both the heavy and light options. This should target pretty much any female NPC in your game.

If things work disable the default outfits option and try again. Should none be applied now the standard armor issued to NPCs have been changed by a mod that hasn't added the identifying keywords for type. If so they can't be matched to a bikini equivalent = none issued.

Thanks for the reply. yea I did all I could with the settings and it never fixed it. I pretty much gave up then it started working, so I'm just not going to touch anything.

thanks for this mod, I really appreciate seeing Deadly Wenches bandit wearing a bikini armor!?

unfortunately I have a problem with the "preview display" of many pieces of bikini armor in inventory or at the forge.

in some cases, moving quickly from one piece to another in inventory (or in forging menu), make my game crash... maybe this also happens in the original mods...

I wanted to know if it also happens to someone else, or it's just my problem..

thanks!

That would be more likely a problem with the bikini armour mod itself as that is the mod that deals with the previews, though I suppose this mod could be changing them, which could cause problems.

That sounds like you have a lot of items in the forge lists, and you moving too quickly is stopping the game loading the previews for that item and having to jump to the next one, causing skryim to get confused and pretty much say I have had enough, meet your desktop ?

maybe my game is a little susceptible ?

what I do not understand is the problem of previews.. in the original oldrim version of bikini mod, i remember that it worked (i had merged all the bikini esp in one from merge plugin)

not being able to see almost all the pieces at the forge menu, it makes difficult for me to choose what to build ?
