The specific device the character is in right now is the Dollmarker's Billboard Catsuit from the task to advertise her shop with rubber. I think I remember some different devices giving a message with the number of hours when I tried to unequip them, but I've also had others that didn't.

I played long enough for the message saying that the catsuit was able to be removed to show up, so it looks like having that option turned off in the MCM doesn't affect the quest.

It would be best to test on a new game with only DCL and it's requirements installed.

New save game with only the Devious and dependencies works, and after a bit of trial and error it was the Sexlab defeat mod that was buggering things up. Or rather the NPC on NPC part of it. As I dont use companions all that often its no biggie. Still it would be nice to solve. I strongly recommend you turn it off till they are fixed. Since you have Defeat, you need to make sure DCL's combat surrender is not enabled - the two conflict. If you enabled the essential - on bleedout, you might want to disable that again. The tooltip mentions it can kill you in certain situations. I don't know what those are, since I never enable it.

If you don't want those devices randomly equipped it's frustrating when you have to reload because of it. Am I the only one with this issue and will be fixed in the future? I mean I like DCL as long as I can customize it and everything removed from the MCM gives us less freedom to do so. I had to set max number of devices to 3 to prevent getting a whole bondage store added to my char when triggering a trap.

Depending on how tight you are already restrained, your skill with weapons (when resisting) or dexterity (when running) and a few other modifiers, it might work. Or not, in which case there obviously will be consequences) from the last update? I have found it does weird things for me which I can't really even begin to describe. Also, side note; only with this mod installed I sometimes run into issues with scenes not starting until I press the ~ key to open the console, any thoughts on what may be the issue. Deviously Enchanted chest comes to mind and there are a few others I think. If the event is not coming from DCL, it won't respect DCL's settings. If you temporarily enable debug for onscreen comments in DCL, you should see if the trap is coming from DCL or not. Otherwise, upload a papyrus log when you run into this again. Be aware that some DCL events /quests will force devices that you have disabled. There is no way to 100% disable a device.

I didn't see it when looking through DCL's items. Did you update to beta9 of sexlab? If not, try that. Most of the issue with scenes is because they have to go through DD's animation filter before going back to sexlab, there's no way around that. But sexlab's unoptimized starts made it much worse. How bad it is depends on how much script lag you have. If there's enough script lag, there's not much to do other than get rid of some of the heavier scripted mods (DCL is pretty script heavy itself).

Can't you ask Kimy to make it possible to 100% disable chastity? I noticed there are some sets that have them. Can those be disabled to only allow random pieces? What bothers me with chastity is that I need to disable the device hider because it's not comatible with Mortal Weapons and Armor(which means clipping), and the time you're forced to wear them is very long with my timescale of 6 (otherwise time flies by too fast), in addition to being limited to oral when rape triggers. It's not an easy thing to code and the potential to break quests is high, but it is on her radar. As it stands now, the disabled items applies to traps only. If the clipping really bothers you, you could just delete the nifs for the chastity belts. This will make the belts invisible all the time, even when naked except for the belt. The way you phrased it was not clear. Stating you were looking at the changelog would have helped. If you don't want the surrender mechanics, uncheck combat surrender on the rape tab, or set the complex surrender chance to 0%. There's a few other settings in that section you can tweak, but those two are what I've usually disabled. Combat Surrender should not be enabled if you have another mod that handles defeat scenarios, like death alternative or sexlab defeat, just because it can cause weirdness.

What areas, and what does the MCM say about running quests? If a DCL main quest is running, fast travel will be disabled regardless of your choices.
