Dominion of Communion is a relationship, rivalry, sexual competition, household-control and personal-power overhaul for Crusader Kings III.

It began as an attempt to make cuckoldry/NTR mechanics actually matter beyond a single event. It has since grown into a broader system where sexual relationships, humiliation, loyalty, rivalry, submission, reputation and personal influence can persist for years and affect the characters and realms involved.

The central idea is simple:

Characters should remember what happened to them.

A lover should not simply disappear into an event log. A humiliated rival should remember who defeated them. A ruler who has been repeatedly dominated should behave differently from one who has never submitted. A devoted follower should be capable of becoming part of something larger than an opinion modifier.

Dominion of Communion attempts to turn those relationships into an ongoing simulation.

Dominion and Patronage

Characters can develop persistent relationships with individual Patrons.

Through sexual relationships, Alpha Checks, Tantalize, rivalry, humiliation, loyalty and other interactions, characters can accumulate Dominion-related experience and develop increasingly significant relationships with one another.

These relationships are tracked over time rather than being discarded after an event concludes.

Depending on what happens, characters may become lovers, rivals, cuckolds, devoted followers, Owned characters or otherwise tied to a Patron's growing influence.

The Communion Ledger

The Communion Ledger is the central interface for managing the system.

It allows you to track important characters, Dominion relationships, loyalty, world outcomes, Endowments, preferences and other persistent information without needing to manually remember everyone involved in a long campaign.

The Ledger becomes particularly useful for players with large dynasties, many lovers, numerous rivals or sprawling realms.

Alpha Checks and Tantalize

Alpha Check and Tantalize provide direct competition between characters.

These interactions allow characters to test one another, compete for standing and create relationships that can develop into rivalry, humiliation, sexual interest or Dominion.

Outcomes depend on the characters involved rather than simply awarding the player automatic victories.

Cuckoldry With Persistent Consequences

Dominion of Communion treats cuckoldry as a persistent relationship rather than a temporary event modifier.

Cuck XP can accumulate as the relationship develops, allowing humiliation and submission to deepen over time.

The system also attempts to distinguish between actual cuckoldry and relationships that merely look suspicious from CK3's family structure.

Cucked records require meaningful sexual or parentage evidence rather than simply being created because two characters happen to share a relationship.

Lawful co-spouses are therefore not automatically treated as cheating on one another merely because they share the same spouse.

Endowment System

Adult male characters can receive persistent physical Endowment measurements.

Length and girth are stored directly on the character and remain consistent throughout their life.

Characters are placed into visible size categories ranging from Micropenis through Massive, while exact measurements can be viewed through the Endowment systems.

Characters can also develop personal size preferences, meaning attraction is not simply based on "larger is always better."

Endowment Mastery

Physical Endowment and sexual experience are separate concepts.

Endowment Mastery represents experience, confidence and reputation.

Characters can gain Mastery through successful encounters and certain Dominion interactions, advancing through multiple ranks without changing their actual physical measurements.

A character can therefore be physically average but highly experienced, or extremely endowed but inexperienced.

Endowment Registry

The Endowment Registry allows eligible characters to be compared and sorted.

Depending on the information available, characters can be evaluated by measurements, Endowment category, Endowment Index, preferences and Mastery.

The system is designed to remain usable even as the campaign population grows.

World Alpha

World Alpha is a global competition between eligible characters.

Rather than simply rolling a single hidden check, World Alpha operates as a seeded elimination tournament.

Participants receive an Alpha Rating and progress through successive matchups until one champion remains.

Your placement, opponent, rating, odds and rewards are recorded so the event becomes part of the world's history rather than disappearing immediately after completion.

Lick the Tip

Lick the Tip is a realm-wide loyalty test.

You may call upon eligible adult courtiers, direct vassals and their adult courtiers to demonstrate their loyalty.

Every character makes an individual decision based on their relationship with the Patron, opinion, personality, Dread, position and other factors.

Their response is remembered.

Characters who repeatedly demonstrate loyalty can accumulate Loyalty XP, creating followers whose relationship with their Patron becomes increasingly difficult to break.

Cult of Personality

Loyal followers contribute to a persistent Cult of Personality surrounding their Patron.

As the following grows, it can provide resources and other benefits representing the social and political influence created by the Patron's supporters.

AI characters are capable of developing their own followings as well.

The Devoted

A sufficiently established Cult of Personality can support The Devoted, a special military force tied to the Patron's followers.

Its size and effectiveness grow alongside the Patron's cult and the loyalty of its adherents.

This allows personal influence to gradually translate into actual political and military power.

Submission, Warfare and Collapse

Dominion relationships can affect more than sex and romance.

Characters with extreme levels of submission may behave differently during conflict, surrender or political confrontation.

At the furthest end of the system, Final Collapse provides outcomes for rulers whose resistance to a Patron has effectively been destroyed.

Different government structures and unusual CK3 title types receive special handling where necessary to avoid breaking realms simply because a Dominion outcome occurred.

AI Participation

Dominion is not intended to exist only for the player.

AI Patrons can pursue relationships, deepen existing Dominion, build followings and interact with the systems independently.

Game rules allow the player to determine how active or restrained that simulation should be.

You can keep Dominion relatively player-driven or allow the world to become considerably more autonomous.

Player Household Agency

The human player's household receives additional protection from completely invisible AI outcomes.

When Dominion-generated AI behavior targets the player's lawful partner, the player can receive an opportunity to intervene.

Depending on the situation, you may challenge the advancing character, and the targeted partner retains their own independent decision rather than the system automatically determining that sex occurred.

Long-Term Campaign Support

Dominion includes repair and audit systems intended to keep persistent relationship data functional across long campaigns and mod updates.

The mod can repair or reconstruct several types of missing or invalid records without deliberately rerolling established Endowments or rewriting valid relationships.

Large registries and realm-wide systems also use pagination and delayed processing where possible to reduce unnecessary performance costs.

Included Mods

The download contains three components.

Dominion of Communion

The main mod containing the Dominion, relationship, Endowment, World Alpha, loyalty and personal-power systems.

Dynastic Domain Manager

A separate standalone companion mod focused on managing enormous dynasties and realms.

Dynastic Domain Manager includes title distribution, dynasty management, marriage planning, household systems, education tools, prisoner and kidnapping tools, Crown Estate management and other features intended for campaigns where the player controls large families or huge amounts of territory.

It can be enabled with or without Dominion of Communion.

Dominion of Communion — Carnalitas Compatibility

An optional compatibility module for players using Carnalitas.

The compatibility module allows supported Carnalitas systems to interact with Dominion while keeping Dominion's persistent Endowment data authoritative.

It requires both Dominion of Communion and Carnalitas.

Dominion of Communion is built primarily for players who enjoy long campaigns, enormous dynasties, persistent sexual politics, rivalry, control, NTR/cuckoldry mechanics and characters whose relationships actually continue to matter after the event window closes.
