Deviously Cursed Loot

 

DESCRIPTION

 

Cursed Loot is a bondage and domination (BD) themed mod that will get you into trouble of the erotic kind when playing Skyrim. Beware when looting containers and defeated enemies in Skyrim! You have been warned! There are rumours that some wicked individuals hid cursed restraining devices all over the province that can trick anyone touching them into tying up themselves. It is quite likely that some of them are still out there, waiting inside wardrobes, chests, boxes, even barrels and other innocent looking containers for an unsuspecting adventuress to try and loot them. It is being said that these devices have it particularly easy to bend a mind when the person in question is already dreaming of sex, so keep those hormones in check when opening unknown containers! Even if you bring keys to unlock restraints you are far from safe: Reports have it that some unlucky adventurers managed to hide their own keys while under influence of the cursed devices and had to continue their journey in chains, deep inside a cave full of nasty creatures! Some of these devices will likely have recovered by unlucky individuals already. So be careful if you loot the corpses of your defeated enemies as well! Trapmakers are rumoured to have used cursed restraining devices to protect their traps and make them tamper proof. Extra caution is required when arming or disarming traps!

Crime and Punishment
 
Crime just got a whole lot kinkier! If you get arrested by a guard, they now have many more options at their disposal to punish you. Guards can now start several DCL quests, including Walk of Shame, Belt of Shame, Whore Collar and more! They also can punish you by locking restraints on you and leaving it to you to struggle out of them. You can sure try to beg or bribe your way out, but success isn't guaranteed and your sentence might get harsher for trying to whore yourself out of it. More serious crime can also result in getting sent to prison. DCL's very own, new prison.
Dagonar Prison for Women, Skyrim's worst lock-up for female offenders is where the really bad girls are getting sent to serve time for their crimes. No longer are criminals allowed to just sit in a cell and sleep through their sentence! Prisoners are expected to work to pay off their debt to society! Inmates will have to work in the mines, or in the workshop, serve drinks to the guard, clean their cells and cook their own (disgusting) prison food. The all-male guard also values security and has a deep stock of restraints available to keep inmates in line! And they really enjoy binding their inmates and might chose to use you as a display model for the newest lockable gear! They might see you as a part of the compensation, too. Talking about security - no, you won't break out of this prison by lifting a loose crate. Escape is possible, but it's not easy, and might require careful planning and some luck. Try! But don't get caught, or you might pile up additional jail time for your transgressions. Thankfully there is a pardon system in place giving some inmates the chance for an early release, too!

 

Solicitation

 

This lightweight prostitution feature will allow you to sell your services to make some money - or just to make sure this pesky Slave Collar will come off a little bit faster. The downside is that not all citizens of Skyrim find prostitution acceptable. You might end getting reported to the guard. Or wearing a chastity belt. Others might not mind you offering yourself to them, but don't like to pay for it. In which case they will take you for free.

 

Device Comments

 

No longer will you be able to wear restraints in public without other people reacting to them. Expect some funny comments. Well, if you're lucky, it will be ONLY comments. Some NPCs might also decide to spice up your little adventure by locking more restraints on you (you obviously love wearing them, otherwise you wouldn't, right?), or stealing your keys. Some might even be nice to you and help you, but don't expect this to be the norm. It's Skyrim after all.

 

Sex attacks

 

Skyrim is a brutal place for an adventuress, particularly if she is not properly armed or protected. Expect the denizens of Skyrim to take advantage of you if you are running around naked, have no weapons equipped to defend yourself or are locked in restraints. In addition, this feature includes a combat surrender mechanism that will make attackers cease hostilities and have fun with you when they get the upper hand, rather than killing you. They sure might enjoy killing, but sex is still better!

 

Leon and Leah, the Dominant Followers

 

Leon and Leah are two spoiled nobles in need of a new plaything. Well, maybe that plaything ends up being you. As always with Cursed Loot, pretty much everything about this feature can be customized. But be warned: When this function is fully activated, you will be pretty busy satisfying your master and might not find too much time for exploring dungeons and crypts. Rules you can set your master to enforce include having to ask for permission to sleep/rest or eat, disallowing you to carry gold or restraint keys, disallowing you to have sex with anyone but your master and having to offer yourself to your master at least once per day. You will be able to do favours for him or her to increase your standing. In exchange s/he might not bind you -quite- as tight. Oh, and yes, you -can- escape by trying to break out of the slave collar binding you. Just don't get caught! Oh, you can find them in the Bannered Mare in Whiterun.

 

Sasha

 

The Dollmaker's daughter is submissive, hot and...available! Well, if you buy her from her mother, that is. Sasha loves wearning skintight, shiny rubber. To the degree she will refuse to wear anything else. She comes with a large wardrobe of rubber wear and her own personal toybox full of restraints you can lock on her. Sasha will react differently to you depending on how you treat her. She can be either your equal partner or your submissive plaything. The choice is yours, and the difference is detemined by making her wear a slave collar or not. Pick up this kink-themed (marriable) follower in the Dollmaker's house! Yes, in case you care, she is also a half decent mage and won't be a burden in combat. As long as you don't tie her wrists, that is. You can also send her on errands to retrieve valuable items or money for you (in which case she will be gone from your party for a while.) If she is collared, you can whore her out once per day and she won't ever deny you sex. You also can put any restraint on her you wish. If she is not collared, she might refuse when she's not in the mood and she won't accept most restraints other than chastity items, but in return she will have errands with better rewards available.

 

Public Indecency

 

When you're having sex in public and a guard spots you, you are in trouble! They will arrest you. Or have fun with you. Or something else. Also, the citizens of Skyrim can be fairly prude. Who would have thought! It's probably because of the cold temperatures there. Or so. But they will report you to the guards if they spot you getting banged in public. They are probably just jealous. Optionally, misogyny is rampant in Skyrim. Women are valued so little that they are still getting charged with public indecency even if they were raped! Also, with misogyny active, women are required to serve any man who wants them. If they give in, they might become subject to public indecency charges, of course. If they refuse, they might suffer in other ways. Oh...and men in Skryim want a lot of sex. Who would have thought! Except when you're wearing a full chastity set (belt, bra and ball gag) without having a key. That's the one thing that might make them lose interest in you. The good news is that if you deny a man their right to your body, that's exactly what you might end up wearing!

 

Bondage Dialogue

 

Always wondered what to do with all the devices you keep finding (and unlocking from your own wrists and ankles)? You can now ask (female) NPCs if they would allow you to bind them. Some might happily agree to let you tie them up (it's amazing how many girls in Skyrim love bondage!). Some others are less fond of the idea. If you're lucky they will just walk away. If not, they might bind YOU instead. Or call the guard. Or just treat you like the slut they think you are. Why you should even do that, you ask? Because the grateful women of Skyrim will give you nice things as reward, such as keys!

 

Self Bondage

 

If a character is highly aroused, she might just decide to browse her inventory for anything she can lock on herself. She will also be really unwilling to part with bondage devices in her inventory. She'd rather keep them to play with!

 

The Cursed Collar Quest

 

If you are carelessly looting containers or bodies you might find yourself trapped in a cursed and very inescapable slave collar that cannot be unlocked conventionally. How to get out of it? Follow the trail of a long dead wizard that will take you all across Skyrim and find out if there is a means of escape or if you are destined to be marked as a slave forever! Designed with replayability in mind, this quest will send you to randomly chosen locations all over Skyrim's surface, bandit hideouts and dungeons to look for any clues. Finding the clues might come with a price, though. Decide for yourself whether or not you are willing to pay it.
This repeatable quest can be adjusted to make it as easy or difficult as you wish. Want to look for clues only in monster infested dungeons while wearing no armour and having no fast travel available? Or rather have it as a literal walk in the park, and pick up your clues in safe places near cozy taverns or busy farms? It's up to you!

 

The Rubber Doll Quest

 

A new rubber collar can be equipped on you that will feed on your erotic fantasies. If you don't keep your arousal in check, it will expand over time and eventually encase your entire body. When that happens you become a rubber doll - helpless and free for the taking for everyone who wants you (and you will be fairly popular, for this rubber suit hugs your curves so nicely!). Your only hope is to find the Dollmaker to lift the collar's spell. And even then your predicament is not yet over, for the only way to remove the rubber items is by having sex. Lots of.

 

The Bound Queen Quest

 

When you find an old reference about a long dead queen who was trapped in a chastity devices all her life, you get offered a healthy sum to retrieve her lost restraints. Search Skyrim's dungeons and crypts for the items and get rich quick!

 

Tie Me Up!

 

The Dollmaker wants people in Skyrim to wear more bondage (well, of course she does, she makes the things after all!). So you can try and see if you can persuade the citizens of Skyrim to wear chains. She will reward you with a full set of keys if you succeed!

 

A Little Bondage Adventure

 

When asking the people of Skyrim to help you out of your bonds, they might decide to add to your fun by leaving you in a random spot in Skyrim. In chains. If you can make it back to them they will reward you and unlock you, though.

 

High Security Restraints

 

These custom restraints are made of the best steel available and there is no way to escape from them by force. They also feature custom high security locks impossible to pick or unlock with standard keys. When you're unlucky enough to get locked in one of these devices, you might need to look for experienced help to get out of them! And bring some cash, for experienced help tends not to be cheap! You can find these new items in chest and dead bodies all over Skyrim.

 

Flash Bang Traps

 

Some chests can contain flash-bang grenades that shady characters use to knock-out unsuspecting adventuresses to take advantage of them. Any careless girl who triggers one of these devices will get knocked down to the ground unconsciously - and will be completely helpless when the bandits arrive to do with her whatever they want. And guess what they what... Yes, you guessed that right. They want to have fun with you!

 

The Slave Collar

 

If you're unlucky enough to get locked into this item you will have to continue your quest without any protection. In other words, naked. To make things worse, your less than covered features might also convince some people that you're free for the taking. There might be a way to protect yourself from getting used in this fashion. You might not like it though, for it involves being locked into a chastity belt and bra and not carrying any means to unlock them. So better find a key for that collar soon! Unfortunately, standard keys will not unlock this custom made collar, so you might have to look around for a while! Oh, and if you want to have a truly hardcore Skyrim experience you can set key drops to 0% to make this device permanent, but only if you dare.

 

Estrus Traps

 

This configurable option requires Estrus Chaurus+ -OR- Estrus for Skyrim to be installed (including their respective dependencies). If Estrus Chaurus+ is installed, the tentacle attacks will impregnate your character. If EC+ is not installed but Estrus for Skyrim is present, the game will attempt a fallback to that and just play the animations. NOTE: EC+ versions prior to 3.93b are unsupported and will NOT work.

 

HOW IT WORKS

 

Whenever you loot a container or body or manipulate a trap, there is a chance that it also contains a number of cursed devious devices that will automatically equip and lock on you. The chance is calculated using both a base chance and your arousal value. If you arousal is sufficiently high, there is a chance that you find an entire set of bondage gear and tie yourself up with it. Oh, and the curse might trick you into hiding your keys in a (very) safe place and forgetting where they are! As in they are gone. No cursed bondage gear worth its salt would ever let you keep a key, now would it? :P

 

This mod is highly customizable via MCM. Want to make looting a daring risk of ending up being wrapped like a Christmas gift every single time? Or make being aroused while adventuring a sure-fire recipe for becoming a damsel in distress? Or just have a small chance for an extra surprise that clings to you a bit more than you would normally want? Your choice! Make this mod as harsh or forgiving as you want!

INSTALLATION

 

Save your game first before you try this mod, so you can go back to a clean state if you end up not liking it! Then use your favourite mod manager to install it (recommended!), or just drop the folder contents into your /Data directory (definitely not recommended). Run FNIS and Bodyslide after installation.

 

You WILL want to disable Estrus for Skyrim's ESP in your load order if using Estrus integration. The EC+ integration does NOT require that ESP (just the animation files included in the mod) and it is a huge, huge performance hog if left enabled.
You also might want to disable XMPSE.esp in your load order. It is NOT required for the skeleton. You only need it if you want to use XMPS's extra features, such as weapon placement. It's otherwise also a huge performance hog.

 

CONFLICTS

 

Quick Loot: Removes the container interacton Cursed Loot hooks into for the trap feature. Traps will no longer trigger with this mod installed. Solution: Uninstall mod.

iEquip: Makes changes incompatible with Cursed Loot. Solution: Uninstall mod.
Death Alternative: Leave Cursed Loot's Combat Surrender feature disabled when using this mod, or they will get in each other's way. You can of course also use Combat Surrender as a lightweight alternative for DA (that's a part of what it's meant to be!). I do advise against using DA.
Defeat: It's probably a good idea to disable Cursed Loot's Combat Surrender feature when using this mod, as they offer the same functionality.
Submit: It's probably a good idea to disable Cursed Loot's Combat Surrender feature when using this mod, as they offer the same functionality.
Player Succubus Quest: Transformation will wipe restraints from your character, so this function is generally incompatible with DD. Disable Transformation if you want to use this mod with Cursed Loot. Also make sure that your character doesn't die too fast when having no sex. Chastity gear might otherwise kill you.
Devious Armor - will trigger Cursed Loot's collars to punish you for wearing armor. Since you can't unequip most DD items without a key, chances are that your character will die. Solution: Uninstall mod or disable each and every Cursed Loot quest equipping shock collars on you.
DD Restrained - will not recognize Cursed Loot's custom gags. You might get stuck when wearing them with DD Restrained active. Also hasn't been updated in a very, VERY long time. Solution: Uninstall mod.
Immersive Settlements - You will need to disable Immersive Dawnstar.esp and Immersive Dragon Bridge.esp before doing the Cursed Collar quest, or a couple of chests needed for the Cursed Collar quest will be inaccessible.
Trapped in Rubber - is using custom restraints not compatible with DD in general. Furthermore, Cursed Loot's shock collars will view TiR's catsuit as clothing, resulting in certain death. Solution: Make sure you're not wearing any Cursed Loot items before you start the quest and suspend Cursed Loot while playing it.
Maria Eden - implements custom restraints incompatible with DDI. Will clash with any DD related mod to the degree that you can't have DDI (and DCL in turn) in your load order when playing it. Also force-overwrites DDI's and DCL's gag dialogue and disables all gag-talk in the process (which will break any DD feature or quest that expects people to still be able to somehow communicate when wearing a gag). Solution: Uninstall mod.
Touring Carriages - Sex attacks while riding carriages will break the mod. Solution: Disable Sex attacks while riding carriages.
Get Stripped - Sex attacks could trigger during this mod's scenes and break them. Solution: Disable Sex Attacks when playing quests from this mod.
Non-Essential Children - removes tags from children characters the game needs to distinguish them from adult characters. Cursed Loot will disable itself when it detects this mod in your load order. Solution: Uninstall mod.
RCOTS, ERSO 09 - RUS-Npcs overhaul and other mods allowing child followers or playable children - playable child races and followers don't go together with an adult mod. Cursed Loot will disable itself when it detects one of these mods in your load order. Solution: Uninstall mod.
RS Children - works fine, but install it without the "Playable" option.
SPERG: Works fine, but set Hand to Hand combat to "Manual" in its MCM to avoid annoying clicking sounds when wearing wrist restraints.

Frostfall - makes you feel cold when naked. Cursed Loot...sometimes makes you naked. Go figure.
Magical Harvest-a-Tron: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/15899/?:Accesses a lot of plants super rapidly and can thus cause significant script lag when used with DCL.

 

Some features of Cursed Loot include locking the character into hard-to-escape-from restraints. These features, by their very nature, compete with mods offering similar features, as only one device can occupy each slot at any time. For example, while wearing a Captured Dreams collar, Cursed Loot's slave collar quests cannot start (don't worry, it won't even try). Conversely, Captured Dreams will be unable to equip its custom items on you while running the Cursed Collar quest or while being locked in some High Security gear. Cursed Loot's quests were very carefully designed to work well with other custom DD items, and I do not expect them to break any third party quests. At least not if their authors wrote their quests in a way that they can handle the presence of custom DD items from other mods. Unforeseen things might happen, though. When in doubt, disable Cursed Loot's traps before starting other quests featuring custom DD items via MCM.

- You can NOT repost or reupload this mod without my explicit permission.
- You can NOT post any derived works of this mod (= mods that contain portions of my code) outsides of LL without my explicit permission.
- You can NOT post or share any patches against this mod without my express permission, unless their sole purpose is fixing bugs.
- You can NOT bundle/re-distribute any parts of this mod with your own (e.g. include patched versions of DCL's scripts or ESP in your mod) as future updates might break mine, yours and other mods if you do.
- You can NOT publish a full or partial fork of Cursed Loot (as in using it as a base for a project offering similar functionality) without my permission. That includes porting it to other platforms/games.

This mod contains adult content and is meant to be used in adult contexts ONLY. The code contains checks and safeguards against activating its content in situations involving underaged characters and characters looking underaged. It is absolutely NOT allowed to tamper with these portions of the code, or deliberately circumventing or removing them. I do NOT wish to have this mod or its code used in such a fashion. Period.

 

Legacy clause: If I can no longer be contacted for a sustained period of time despite sincere efforts to do so, I grant the LL staff permission to assign a new maintainer to Cursed Loot to update it with fixes and feature enhancements. In case this clause is invoked, I do reserve the right to request back maintainer status of the mod at any time for any reason, though. In case LL ever ceases operation, it is further my explicit wish to keep Cursed Loot together with the relevant DD and SexLab mods, so I grant any interested party permission to move Cursed Loot to DD's official new home, provided it is NOT getting moved to any site that pays uploaders for traffic, or charges users for downloads (this is particularly aimed at these godawful sharehosters that put silly restrictions on download speeds unless paid).

 

For all third party assets used by Cursed Loot (see credits section), all conditions set by their original creators apply instead. Please contact the respective author for further information on permissions etc.

 

FOR MODDERS:

 

Since Cursed Loot's sex attacks can get in the way of other mods running scenes, there are mechanisms available to keep whatever you're doing compatible with Cursed Loot and vice versa. Cursed Loot will honour the already existing suspend signals implemented for Deviously Helpless - if you suspend DH using SendModEvent("dhlp-Suspend") and SendModEvent("dhlp-Resume"), you don't need to worry about Cursed Loot since this will prevent its own scenes from starting as well. It will, however NOT abort already running scenes!!!
If you want to check if Cursed Loot is running a scene before starting one of your own, you can use StorageUtil.GetIntValue(Game.GetPlayer(), "DCUR_SceneRunning"). If a Cursed Loot scene is running, the return value will be 1, otherwise 0. Cursed Loot traps and sex attacks can be triggered from 3rd party mods using SendModEvent() commands as well. The available commands are SendModEvent("dcur-triggerevent") to trigger a trap event using the parameters set in Cursed Loot's MCM, and SendModEvent("dcur-triggerrape") to fire a sex attack. The latter will succeed only if eliglible actors can be found. You can also trigger some quests direcly: SendModEvent("dcur-triggerrubberdoll") will trigger the Rubber Doll quest, SendModEvent("dcur-triggerbondageadventure") the Little Bondage Adventure, SendModEvent("dcur-triggerdamselindistress") the Damsel in Distress quest, and SendModEvent("dcur-triggercursedcollar") will start the Cursed Collar Quest. SendModEvent("dcur-triggerleaveinwilderness") will port the character to a randomly chosen location and start the hogtie minigame. SendModEvent("dcur-triggerBeltofShame") and SendModEvent("dcur-triggerYokeofShame") will equip the timer locked Belt of Shame and Yoke of Shame items.

 

NOTES:

 

1. No, you will not actually SEE the trapped devices in the containers when you loot. That would be too easy - you already thought you could just refrain from looting any DD items and be safe, huh? No. Way! These devices are clever and will wait until you looted the container before they make you dig just a little deeper for them...

 

2. This mod will NOT keep you from looting your well deserved items, even if you end up being tied up like a parcel doing so (DD Integration doesn't mind you looting stuff while wearing an armbinder, so why would I?). However, it doesn't care if you're in combat or not, so know what you're doing when you snatch a bandit's chest with the bandit still around.

 

3. The basic idea of this mod is providing another way to get tied up with devious devices while playing the game (there are never enough ways to get tied up!) Depending on how you configure this mod it's quite possible that you will end up wearing DD items a LOT. So think about providing a way for yourself to get out of your bonds before you set the chance to find cursed DD items to 100%! :P
Other than using the built-in way introduced in version 1.2 to make containers drop keys and even sharp armbinder-cutting objects for you, there are other mods available that can help you getting out of your restraints, such as DD For the Masses.
Tip: If you find the default settings too harsh even with low chances for the event to trigger (some people are opening a lot of containers in Skyrim, so even low chances will mean that the event will trigger fairly regularly), the "Minimum arousal level" and "Worm restraints threshold" sliders are your friends. E.g. if you set the "Worn restraints threshold" to 1, you will find no more cursed devices if you're already wearing a DD item.

 

4. Not sure it needs mentioning, but like many other DD mods, this one has female player characters in mind. It's officially incompatible with male characters.

 

5. Yes, don't worry: The storage chests in your player home (and in inns/jails) aren't cursed. Unless I messed it up, or you're using a custom home the author forgot to properly tag as such. In which case - sorry, I am sure your housecarl will help you with that gag. Mmmph!

 

6. In case you wonder why some containers never pack cursed devices - that's a feature, not a bug. E.g. small sacks can't realistically hold a handful of restraints, so you won't find any in them. In general I tried to avoid putting cursed items into containers where they'd make no sense. Fish barrels...ugh...would you really want to be tied up with restraints that were kept in a fish barrel for a decade or two? That's gross!

Q: How to best report any issues with Cursed Loot?
A: Post your issue in the support thread and describe what happened and how. In enough detail that I might have a chance to understand what went wrong there. Oh, and post a Papyrus log if you can. While I might be able to guess the cause of your problem every now and then, chances are that I will never find out what went wrong unless you provide me with the log. DO NOT PM ME WITH SUPPORT REQUESTS!!!

 

Q: I have this and that problem with an older version of Cursed Loot.
A: Please don't ask me about older Cursed Loot versions. Ever. I release patches for a reason. Use them! Some of them even might have fixed the exact bug you're reporting to occur in your ancient version of Cursed Loot. Only the newest version is supported at any time. Don't post any questions in the support thread unless you're running the -newest- version of Cursed Loot AND all of its requirements.

A: I have no clue and I don't care. I don't use MO and cannot and don't want to troubleshoot any of its issues. Ask the people who made it. Or the cable guy. Anyone. Just not me! While I am pretty convinced that Cursed Loot will work with any of the major mod managers if they are used correctly, I test installation of Cursed Loot with Nexus Mod Manager only.

 

Q: Your mod doesn't work with SkyRe/PerkusMaximus
A: I have no clue and I honestly don't care. At this point there is no confirmed incompatibility with these mods, but some people did report issues of the "Hey, it doesn't work!" kind - while others said it works just fine. Frankly, while SkyRe/PerMa users are more than welcome to discuss related issues in the Cursed Loot support thread, I will not dedicate any of my time to troubleshoot or fix any issues stemming from running Cursed Loot alongside what I believe to be the most invasive and incompatible Skyrim mod known to mankind. I will generally not answer support issues involving SkyRe/PerMa. If it works, fine. If it doesn't...*shrug*

 

Q: Can I suggest new features?
A: Absolutely! I have implemented a lot of user-suggested features and I will continue doing so. But please understand that I cannot implement them all and that some others I really just won't like enough. As a general guideline, Cursed Loot is about getting the player into trouble of the erotic kind. Particularly (but not only) involving bondage and (both non-consensual and consensual) sex. If your suggestion fits this general theme or compliments it and doesn't gross me out right away, chances are that I might make use of it one way or the other. What I am definitely NOT looking for is suggestions involving bestiality, watersports, scat, futa, and extreme punishment/dismememberment. Please don't be offended if that's your kind of thing, but personally I find all of that stuff repulsive and don't want to have to look at it, let alone create it.

 

Q: Will this mod ever support male player characters?
A: No. Blame it on me being lazy or on the general lack of interest of the LL community in DD support for males. It's also just fair, because the gaming industry is making me play guy characters in their games all the time and I don't like that either.

 

Q: Will this mod ever integrate with Death Alternative?
A: No. Way. DA has caused me enough grief with its unresolved issues and the unwillingness of its author to acknowledge them. It's banned from my load order for life. I do not wish to have any dealings with this mod. Don't ask me about any incompatibilities of DCL with DA, either. I don't care and I will not fix them.

 

Q: Will this mod ever integrate with Live Another Life?
A: Perhaps!

 

Q: Why are the bundled items changing my body when equipped?
A: Use Bodyslide, Luke! It's listed in the requirements for a reason.

 

Q: Some of the items are purple! What did you drink when making them?
A: Chances are that I had some red wine. Chances are also that you forgot to install one of the texture packs Cursed Loot is shipping with. Make sure to pick one in the installer! There is ALSO a chance that you simply didn't download the correct file. The main download is inside a TEXT FILE! It's named "Download Link".

 

Q: Is this mod compatible with <obscure mod you found in a remote corner of the internet and nobody else but you ever seems to use>?
A: Ummm...I dunno.. You tell me! I list all known incompatibilities in this readme, but there are really a lot of mods out there, and I can't possibly test them all.

 

Q: Will there be a API to let other devious mods access Cursed Loot's item library?
A: Very unlikely. This would be too much work for very little gain. Other mods are free to set up a soft dependency on Cursed Loot and read the items from its library, if they want to use them.

 

Q: Why don't you add <items from this and that other restraint mod available on LL> to Cursed Loot's drop library?
A: If the other mod has been out for more than a couple months and I haven't added the items, chances are that I don't like them enough.

 

Q: Will you provide a means for users to add their own DD items to Cursed Loot's drop library, then?
A: Other than providing source code, no.

 

Q: Can I translate your mod?
A: I'd feel honoured! The only thing I ask for is a link to the translated string tables, so I can post it in Cursed Loot's official download page (yes, I do reserve the right to do so!) If you want to post the translated files outsides of LL, please ask for permission first. I am likely to give permission for non-English speaking communities outside of EU or NA and very unlikely otherwise.

 

Q: I found this awesome model that would be a perfect fit for a Cursed Loot item. Will you include it?
A: As a guideline, I will not put in anything in Cursed Loot that doesn't support Bodyslide CBBE and UUNP. The model AND the sliders obviously also need to come with permissions to freely include and distribute it in 3rd party mods. If it does, or the item is so awesome that asking the creator for permission is worth it, feel free to suggest it! I won't support any body mod other than CBBE HDT and UUNP, though.

 

Q: Why is this and that item from DD Integration/Expansion not dropping in Cursed Loot/Why is this and that item in Cursed Loot behaving differently than it does in DDI/DDX?/Why are you inventing so many custom items in the first place?
A: The framework mods (DDI/DDX) generally provide items with less complex mechanics to satisfy a broader spectrum of applications and generally try not to invade your gameplay overly much with restraints, up to the point that you can wear most devices under your regular armour and hide them from sight. Cursed Loot's theme goes a bit beyond that. It's a bondage themed mod with bondage themed gameplay and when it locks you in devices, escaping them will often become the focus of your attention for the time being. For this reason, Cursed Loot can and needs to provide more "punishing" mechanics, for it wants to make you actually feel restrained when wearing restraints. Conversely, some DDI items are just not interesting enough in terms of mechanics. That's particularly true for all restraints that do not require a key to unlock. Since in contrast to real life bondage your hands are usually free in Skyrim, you could just take these items off without further ado. Which is...pointless. As a consequence, these items will not drop in Cursed Loot.
Sometimes, items in Cursed Loot and DDI got developed independently of each other, in which case they also would behave differently (an example of this is the yoke). And in some cases I might feel that a different mechanic would suit Cursed Loot's theme and/or my personal taste better than the version included in DDI, so Cursed Loot will just use the model, but with different mechanics.

 

Q: You're evil and mean.
A: That's not a question, but yes. Otherwise I wouldn't have written this mod. :P

NEW: Bound in Skyrim: Several existing and new quests have been integrated in a seamless bondage-themed quest arc, starting either with the LAL plugin quest Delivery Refused, or (if the LAL start isn't used) Chloe. Offering many hours of content, Bound in Skyrim will continue to get expanded with new quests over time. Right now the quests are Delivery Refused, Chloe, Courier in Chains, Learning The Ropes, Supply and Demand, The Whip and Chain Inn, Bound Queen, and the Cursed Collar. While the quests are meant to be played in a row, at certain points it's still possible to "wander off" and enjoy other content in Skyrim. People who really don't like quest content in general or DCL's in particular can now opt to terminate the Chloe quest when meeting her. This will end the entire quest arc forever, so people can go back to doing other things. There is no way to restart it, though.
 
- Added: The Whip and Chain Inn. Ever thought Skyrim's pubs aren't kinky enough? And right, they aren't really. This one might be up your alley! Recently opened in Riverwood and operated by the Dollmaker's sister, this establishment caters to special interests other pubs do not. They got it all. Food, drinks, and well...whips and chains! There, you can find services like merchants that sell restraints and furniture bondage devices. A friendly locksmith can help you if you misplaced your key for your restraints (or never had it in the first place...). Several playrooms will provide entertainment. If you feel like a challenge you can try to escape restraints or furniture devices. Yes, yes, there are rewards for that!
- Added: Furniture punishment. Another outcome scenario has been added to the guard arrest feature that can send your criminal girl to the stocks (or other furniture devices) instead of the prison. Bondage furniture has been erected in Skyrim's larger cities and towns to lock up bad girls for public display, discomfort and humiliation.
- Added: Furniture Traps. No, don't ask me what kind of magic can spawn these things out of thin air. But it can you can get stuck in them until you wiggle out, or were lucky enough to bring a key for these devices. Yes, it's a special event trap and comes with a MCM slider to control how often you will encounter furniture traps.
- Added: A reimagined version of Courier in Chains is now part of the Bound in Skyrim quest arc, starting right at the end of the Chloe quest.
- Added: Supply and Demand is now part of the Bound in Skyrim quest arc, starting after the Courier in Chains quest. Supply and Demand is also still available as a repeatable quest from the Dollmaker.
- Added: The Cursed Collar is now part of the Bound in Skyrim quest arc. It is also still available as a repeatable quest either from traps, or from touching the Cursed Collar again. Traps will not start this quest unless it has been finished as part of the quest arc, though (except when the quest arc has been terminated entirely).
- Added: Learning the Ropes: Normally dealing in leather and rubber, the Dollmaker has heard of a master of rope bondage and got curious. Since she cannot leave her shop closed for extensive travel, she chose you and Chloe to take classes and learn from a true master!
- Added: Always hated it to get used by any random Tom, Dick and Harry who wanted to have fun with you? Rejoice! Now you can choose to resist or run from sex attacks. Depending on how tight you are already restrained, your skill with weapons (when resisting) or dexterity (when running) and a few other modifiers, it might work. Or not, in which case there obviously will be consequences.
- Added: Always hated the prison being boring after the first day, because your poor inmate girl gets to do the same things in the same order every day, like she'd be in Groundhog Day Prison Edition? That's cruel and unusual punishment even by the standards of THIS prison, so we're mixing up things from now on! After day 1, a random subset of the available tasks will be chosen to be completed in a random order.
- Added: While we're at "always hated that?" - Did you always hate how many DCL quests disallowing fast travel start in a remote town to the north with no carriage service? Rejoice! On a constant quest to improve customer satisfaction, the Dollmaker has hired a carriage driver to operate out of Dawnstar. He will take her valued customers to all major Skyrim cities after their shopping stop. For free!
- Added: 150 more items from the DD framework can now be found as loot.
- Added: Ultra-tight Straitjacket. This custom item is so tight and secure that it has to be unlocked gradually, piece by piece. It requires 2 Body Restraints key per stage and there are five stages to finally get out of this device. This device can drop as a trap event (yes, it comes with a MCM slider)
- Added: Extreme ball gag variants have been added to traps.
- Added: Universal Key. This rare and powerful tool can unlock most generic restraints in Skyrim, and it can unlock the entire set you're wearing before breaking. And the best part is that bandits don't seem to recognize it as a restraints key, so they won't take it away from you when they check you for keys.
- Added: Mercyful Dungeons: This new MCM toggle can be used to make cursed traps more forgiving by not equipping wrist restraints on you while you're exploring a dangerous dungeon. The toggle will also prevent the more punishing special traps from triggering in dungeons.
- Added: Prison: The Foreman had a new pillory installed near him, so he can lock up prisoners and stare at their exposed behinds while struggling in it. Well, he won't -just- stare. This task will be used in the random task system.
- Added: Prison: Prison staff gets bored easily. So they need fun! And you're going to provide it! This new task (available only through the random task system) will make you please the staff for their (and maybe your?) amusement!
- Added: Prison/Arrest: You can now try to ask the guard to just pay off your bounty and leave. They might agree, or not. It's DCL, after all.
- Added: Prison/Arrest: Upon arrest, the guard might also decide to put you in an ultra-tight armbinder, that has to be unlocked in multiple stages.
- Added: DCL quests now award a skill increase at the end of each quest that's part of the Bound in Skyrim arc, which makes playing this quest arc a vialble way to level your character.
- Added: The FreeMe button now supports removing generic devices, so people who need to remove broken generic devices don't have to end all DCL quests together with that. A warning dialogue has been added, so people using this function to remove quest devices know that this feature will also end any running DCL quest, most of which cannot be restarted.
- Added: The Lucky Charm now got a proper ground model! \o/
- Added/Changed: DCL can now drop ALL suits (catsuits, hobble dresses, formal dresses) provided by DD, and not just a small selection. There is a small tradeoff for that though, in terms of the suits no longer getting picked by what theme is set in DCL's MCM. There are just TOO many suits in DD to do that with a reasonable amount of code.
- Changed: Dramatic performance optimizations for the device equipping/unlocking code using DD5's faster API functions.
- Changed: Prison: Violent crime will not automatically result in a prison sentence anymore. Instead, the other outcomes will now be used as well, with a higher chance to get a severe one.
- Changed: Prison: Violent crime will not reduce the success chance for offering sex or pleas to zero anymore, but it will still result in a lower chance to get out of trouble.
- Changed: Drastically decreased the value of the DAMN boxes you find as loot. They cost still the same in the Dollmaker's shop.
- Changed: Solicitation now allows to use beds, provided that the sex act is consensual.
- Changed: Guards will no longer automatically send you to prison as soon as you have ANY violent bounty on you, but only when it's really excessive. This will give the other scenarios a better chance to trigger.
- Changed: Poor Chloe is back in her furniture bondage when you meet her.
- Changed: Delivery Refused: The slaves in the secret safe house are using furniture bondage again.
- Changed: Surrender: Bounty Hunters no longer send you to prison when they defeat you. They just take enough money to cover the bounty.

- Changed: Supply and Demand: The lost shipment is now in the first boss chest you open. No more need to explore multiple dungeon to get it done.

- Changed: Made the Chloe quest boots somewhat less punishing, so characters can walk faster when wearing these items. This should make the quest a bit less tedious.
- Changed: Refactored the generic restraints removal function used in a lot of places in DCL. It's a lot faster now, and will remove devices more reliably.
- Changed: The refined chances calculations now works for some locations not properly tagged with keywords in the vanilla game.
- Changed/Fixed: Courier in Chains: Changed the quest target of the Windhelp stage from Arivanya to Ulundil, so this quest should no longer clash with the Blood in the Ice quest.
